View 5 RepliesI am unable to connect to either my keyboard or mouse. I have a bluetooth keyboard and magic pad in my office that was paired to my Macbook pro but I am not bringing it anymore sense getting my iPad. The iPad seems to see the keyboard but not the pad. But neither will connect. I'm baffled.
Information:
MacBook Pro 2.2 Ghz.
Mac OS X (10.6.2)
Haven't heard this yet - but has anyone hooked up their apple wireless mouse or super mouse to their iPad? I was thinking that, with the wireless keyboard - the mouse would be a good addition.

Quote: If you have been using your iPad on a desk with the official iPad Keyboard Dock accessory, you might have felt the need of having a mouse to control iPad's screen. This is because it is more convenient to use a pointing device for interacting with a device when it is placed in a standing position on a desk, just like how we do with our desktop monitors, notebooks/netbooks and so on.
So the other day, I gave BTstack Mouse app a go on my jailbroken iPad and was pretty impressed with the result. Not only did it worked with Apple Magic Mouse, but also with almost all the other Bluetooth enabled mice I had. For those of you who don't know, BTstack Mouse is a free utility which was first released earlier this year for jailbroken iPhones and iPod touch.
Here is a little video I did which shows a jailbroken iPad being controlled by Magic Mouse.
YouTube - Use Apple iPad with Magic Mouse [Jailbreak]
Follow the steps below to get it working on your iPad.
Step 1: Make sure you have a jailbroken iPad. Follow the complete instructions posted here for jailbreaking your iPad with Spirit if you haven't already.
Step 2: Install BTstack Mouse app from Cydia. It is available under BigBoss repository.
Step 3: Now start the app and let the app discover your Bluetooth-capable mouse. Once it has been detected, simply connect the mouse and it should be working.
Tested with: Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 and Apple Magic Mouse.
Apple is set to bring official support for using Bluetooth keyboards in iPhone OS 4 for iPhone. It now remains to be seen whether such a support for Bluetooth mice will also be brought, for both iPhone and iPad.
Anyone here try this?

I want to use my magic mouse with my ipad 4.2.1, does anyone know how i can do this?
View 6 RepliesI was just considering getting the apple magic mouse to use for my ipad. I know, I bought the ipad for its amazing touchscreen interface, but sometimes I'd like to use it from a distance. Anyway... Has anyone used this mouse with btmouse, and can you use it with at the same time with btstack (the keyboard)? What are some pros and cons of the mouse on the ipad? do the multitouch gestures work with it well (like if you pinch to zoom on the mouse will it work smoothly on the ipad; or if you do a four finger swipe will it do the multitouch gestures to switch between apps)?

Without getting into the pro/con argument (already covered ad nauseam in other threads) regarding Magic Mouse / TrackPad support, what is your prediction as to whether or not Apple will decide to provide it with the next iPad?
View 24 RepliesMy wonderful wife had these two items waiting for me when I got home last night. I want to use that KB instead of the dock one for portability but I can't seem to get both KB and mouse working. Can I run both Btkeyboard and Btmouse together or will I have to use the docked KB and then run Btmouse? Edit:It's the MAGIC MOUSE not MIGHTY MOUSE
View 24 RepliesIt has bluetooth...............
....but why?
Its like the iPod Touch having bluetooth i'm guessing. on the touch i've used it once to play an air hockey game with a friend while he was on his touch...but thats it.
Is this the kind of limitation we're seeing with bluetooth, why even add it to the ipad or touch?
Imagine if the ipad allowed you to connect your magic/mighty mouse? or wireless keyboard?
I guess im asking as to the general consensus re: the matter.
I have a new iPad, using wireless KB. The magic mouse will not sync with the iPad. Are they compatible?
Info:
iPad, iOS 5.1.1
This question is for Desktop Connect users out there. Will the Apple Wireless Mouse work with Desktop Connect while connected to a server? The Desktop Connect when connected to a server shows a mouse icon at the top of the screen. I'm wondering if this is an option that I can use with a mouse.
View 1 RepliesI have two ipads. Ipad2 jailbroke with 6.1 and Ipad3 jailbroke with 6.1.2. I also have a magic mouse that worked perfectly before Ios6. Now I can only open certain folders, Mail Safari, Appstore, ifile & settings. Also I can open Yahoo messeger and one folder on screen. I have BTC Mouse & Trackpad, Iconoclasm Infiniboard, infinidock, infinifolders & folderenhancer. Both the left and right clickers function perfectly so I don't believe it is the mouse. I used to be able to use the mouse like a mouse on a PC, but now it won't open certain folders.
