I opened an email attachment (a Word doc) and now can't feet rid of it and I can't get into the mail app at all...it jut opens to the attachment. I have turned the iPad all the way off and on again but that doesn't help. Anyone have an idea? This is ridiculous?

When sending email it shows no content even though I typed info in the email. It also gives a smtp error, but then when you close out the mail program it sends the email. I am using gmail. I checked all of the settings and they are the same as my Iphone and it sends emails fine.
Sounds associated with emails reception , sending, smart cover closing and keyboard typing have suddenly disapeard while general settings for those functions are still "on" .

I've been sending myself word docs from Windows Outlook desktop email so I can work on documents on my IPAD while away from home. Worked fine until yesterday, and now my word2003 attached docs on Ipad email are showing up as unopenable winmail.dat files. I've done nothing different, so am not sure what is happening. Other people's emails with Word docx files are opening fine as are pdfs

files do not open and they become corrupted and impossible to open.
Troubleshooting this issue i found out that if i open the document first on my Desktop with the microsoft word, and analysing with the inspection tool i could take the personal and xml info away from the doc and then resent it and then i could open it in the ipad.

Looking for an app to Write text, import pictures either from album or camera.
I then want to be able to email the document.
I want to then either, open the content using ms word, or be able to cut content from the email into word.
Evernote looked like it might do this, but I can't cut and paste into word as the pictures don't show up.
Important, the pictures must stay where they were put relative to the text. Onenote looked like it might do, but it moves the pix to the end of the email.

Something happened with Mail in my iPad when I open a .pdf. I can not close it, I tried double-hit, hit in center, every different way I could think about. When I close Mail and open it again, always get the same .pdf file, so I can not use Mail anymore. I feel quite ridiculous about it, but don't know what else I could do.

I don't why but neither rebooting nor switching off and then switching on after an hour or so is not closing my pad's apps.... I always have to close it manually.
