View 1 RepliesI am going to be travelling and I wanted to use my Ipad to access Gmail Chat. It doesn't seem like I can. Is there a way to do this? Is there an app that I need?

View 2 RepliesI cannot find how to get the chat feature on gmail? It is on my computers, but completely missing on my iPad. Is it possible the iPad does not support this? I am sure I had it before the 7.0 upgrade happened.
View 7 RepliesI got my iPad2 and would like to video chat with some out of state relatives. I've never video chatted (ipad2 is my first computer camera) and they don't have an iPad to do Facetime. Can I use the camera to do other video chat like maybe Yahoo or something common they can use? They have a web camera but don't know much either.
View 8 RepliesThe difficulty encountered trying to set up gmail contacts into the iPad. I have two gmail accounts and initially set them up using gmail as the account type, which made sense to me. Now one would think by doing that, your contacts would automatically show up on your iPad contacts, but no, that would be to easy I guess.
So next I read about setting up gmail as a Microsoft exchange account instead. So I did that with my personal account. So can I set up another exchange account for my work gmail too? Can I name them something different then exchange account?
I've been using gmail web mail instead of the gmail client because of the issue with contacts. The problem there is with two accounts I need to log off of one and log into the other, which is a hassle. Any other ideas on how best to use my two gmail accounts?
I have my Blackberry set up with the google sync software for blackberry so that anytime i add something to my blackberry calendar it auto syncs with my gmail calendar on my PC.I also have my iPad set up the same way so that when i add something to either my gmail calendar on my PC or my iPad it automatically syncs with the other. This is the ideal setup for me as i can enter an appointment into ANY of the three devices and it automatically syncs to the other two devices without me having to do ANYTHING.

anyway here's the problem I have been experiencing with my iPad since the beginning with Gmail. Wondering if anyone else has this problem.I set up my Gmail account in Settings using the Gmail setup tab, no problem there, easy and quick. Gmail on the iPad is received and sent without any problems, but when reading my Gmail and trying to open another earlier Gmail / Mail crashes back to the desktop. It does this pretty much every time. I can't scroll through Gmail messages without Mail crashing. My other email accounts, all .mac or .me email accounts are fine, I don't get the same crashing problem at all only happens with Gmail.
View 3 RepliesAre there any good IM apps out yet for iPad? just got mine and beejive in iPhone mode looks pretty pathetic on the big screen.
View 8 RepliesPeople hacked the iPad and found support for video chat and SMS. How do they hack it so fast!? What do you think of these discoveries??
View 1 RepliesIs there a better chat app for the iPad yet?Beejive would do it for me but i'm finding IM+ isn't reliable overall.

Is there an app that will allow me to use facebook group chat?

View 1 RepliesSeems the link to instant chat with an Apple sales rep has gone away. Not sure if that ends at a certain time or there were too many requests or what but worth noting maybe?
View 1 RepliesSo I loaded up facebook.com the first couple nights w/ my iPad, and everything was perfect. I was wondering whether or not the chat functionality of the site would load properly, and happily for me it did. I was able to chat on facebook.com the same way I do on my Firefox browser on the desktop PC.
But, the last couple of days I've tried it, the chat functionality does not show up on the screen at all. Where did it go? Why would it work the first few days, but then not at all after that? And I'm not using the app (yet) because 1) There is no proper iPad facebook app yet, and 2) if I do it through the browser, I can still browse around the web in another window and switch back and forth. I'm just trying to figure out why it was there in the beginning, but gone now.
I have an IPAD but when I login to Facebook - There's no Facebook chat.. =( Can anyone help me what to do so I can use the CHAT? or it does not really have a FB chat?
View 5 RepliesI downloaded the aim app for my iPad so I could chat on facebook. Is it possible? Connected my facebook to AIM but my friends don't pop up.
View 1 RepliesI am not much of an IM person but think it would be great if Ipad had an exclusive chat application. I know several people that have Ipads and want to chat with them. I have to go get phone and send text. It would be much easier to send via a chat program. Just a thoughtSide note - I dont use IM because I dont want to invite everyone to join and hope they do, this just seems easier to me
View 2 RepliesI desire to have an Ipad but I just want to know if I can connect a webcam. If so, does the Ichat apps works with the Ipad.
