Way To Charge Battery - Connect To Power Outlet ?

May 12, 2010

"Charge the battery: The best way to charge the iPad battery is to connect iPad to a power outlet using the included Dock Connector to USB Cable and 10W USB power adapter. When you connect iPad to a USB 2.0 port on a Mac with the Dock Connector to USB Cable, iPad may charge slowly while syncing.
Important: The iPad battery may drain instead of charge if iPad is connected to a PC, to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, to a USB hub, or to the USB port on a keyboard.3g 8GB

Unable To Charge Using 10W Power Adapter?

Aug 6, 2010

The subject states it all.

My iPad displays the words "Not Charging" besides the battery bar even when charged by the 10W power adapter that came along with the iPad.

Used the same power adapter to charge my iPhone and there was no problem.

Charged the same iPad using the same 10W power adapter a few times before and there were no issues either.

10W USB Power Adapter To Charge Other Devices?

Jul 17, 2010

Can anybody share your experience with charging other devices (bluetooth headphone in my case) using iPad`s 10W power adapter?

I have a b-speech calypso II bluetooth headphones connected to the ipad. Headphone have an USB port to charge when connected to the desktop but doesn`t have an external 220v power charger. I want to use the ipad`s extern charhed with headphones.

iPad 10W charger has 5V/2A, while headphones has 5V/0.5A. I`m completely dumb in this electrical things so is it safe to charge headphones with the ipad charger?

I would buy an external charger, no problem, but don`t want to have another unneeded device in my travel bag.

There is information everywhere that the Ipad doesn' charge with low power adapters. The first power adapter I received with my first Ipod was the firewire power adapter and it allows intensities even higher than the 10 W Ipad adapter. Could this old adapter be used with Ipad Model n. A1070 output 12V 6.7 A if I believe what is written on it.

Integrated USB Port Is High-power 2.0 Port?

May 5, 2010

I have a simple question for you today. I own two TC, a late 2009 MC343LL/A model (1 TB) and an early 2009 double-band model (500 GB).The question is: is the integrated USB port an high-power 2.0 port?I tried to charge two iPhone simultaneously through the same Time Capsule 2.0 USB port (using a simple USB switch) and it works. I can charge two iPhones simultaneously. So, if I can charge two iPhone at the same time, could I properly charge an iPad?(I haven't got the iPad yet xD)

Unit just about six weeks old. Never dropped or abused. Last night before bed time plugged in and in morning still at about 28%. Did a full reboot (white apple appears) and when unit comes back up it says not charging. Pull the module and reinsert in wall outlet. No message, just the indicator at top that continues to show .... now 27%. Any help out there?

New IPad 3 Won't Charge In Wall Outlet

Aug 9, 2012

It will not charge when I put it in the wall outlet (using original cables and charger that came with the iPad). Normally, when I plug it in, it says a "bling" noise, and then a small charging icon appears on the battery indicator in the top right corner.
Now, nothing happens, as of yesterday. If I connect the cable from the charger to the USB of my PC it says "does not charge", however, I get the "bling" noise, and it very slowly increases the percentage of the battery indicator (like 2-3% per hour). I am also able to put on/remove contents via iTunes.Doesnt this seems like it is the "charger head" itself that decided to die?

IPad 2 Won't Charge Using Its Outlet Charger

May 8, 2012

I've had my iPad 2 for about 6 months now, and it recently just started this problem last night. I try to charge it using the official wall charger that came with it, but it doesn't charge it at all. It just beeps on and off as if I'm unplugging and replugging the cable in (althought the cable is securely in and I'm not touching it). I connected different devices to the same charger (my cellphone that's not an iPhone, for example) and they charge just fine. But connecting my iPad to the charger and it completely goes nuts.

I should point out that I'm in Germany at the moment and the iPad is from the U.S. (where I'm usually located). But I've been to Germany with this same iPad, the same charger, and the same adaptor before (a month ago) and I had no problems last time. I also am able to slowly charge the iPad via USB connection to a friend's laptop (albeit very slowly). I just really want to know why my wall outlet charger will work with other devices, and the USB cable works from iPad to laptop (again, although very slowly), but together the two things wont charge my iPad and the iPad beeps on and off as if I'm unplugging and replugging it in.

Info:iPad 2s not an iPhone, for example) and they charge just fine. But connecting my iPad to the charger and it completely goes nuts.

I should point out that I
