So I received my iPad for my birthday two days ago, and have really enjoyed using it as it came pre-charged with 93% battery life. Now I'm down to 13% and it requires a charge. I plugged it in to the wall charger and it charged for a bit, getting to 23%, until I wanted to move the charging to another room. After that, it wouldn't work, it just would not charge. It doesn't charge off of the USB ports of my laptop, but I know why that is, but I am on holiday now and need to be able to charge it, otherwise its a paperweight for the next two weeks.I've tried changing the fuse, a cold reset, everything, but nothing worked. It just won't charge.
My iPad 3G isn't charging using my wall charger. I get the same "Not Charging" message in the top right corner of my iPad as I get when I plug the USB charger in with my computer. I have tried switching outlets and restoring my iPad and nothing is working. Has anyone else had this problem?
I went to sync my iPad today after a week of travelling in France but it seems my iPad is reluctant to come home. I've tried plugging it into the wall charger (no response, not even "Not Charging"), I've tried plugging it into my Mac and iTunes doesn't recognise it. This occurs with every iPhone/iPad charger and cable combination I have, so I'm pretty sure it's a hardware fault.
A week ago my Ipad2 hasn't been syncing with itunes. My Ipad doesn't appear under devices and I don't know why. I usually charge my ipad on my macbook, but it won't charge either. I tried charging it on a wall charger and it worked for a while I just had to reset it every time I had to charge it, but now it won't even charge on a wall charger anymore. I tried resetting it a million times and I restored it to its factory settings and everything, but it won't work. It's not the cable because I tried a bunch of different cables and its not the USB ports because they've been working just fine for everything else I've used them for. It's really getting annoying. I don't understand what the problem is. I just want my Ipad2 to sync to itunes and charge!
I was wondering if I can charge the iPad with my old (3rd Generation?) iPod charger. It's the one for PC that has a split cable with the iPod connector on one side and firewire (to AC adapter) and USB (to computer) on the other sides. Can I use this to both charge and connect to my PC? It has the same iPod connector (it fits, anyway), but I wanted to make sure nothing has changed since 3G iPods...I don't want to blow anything up!
When I bought my ipad I also got an iphone. I thought all the stuff was interchangeable. For the most part I was right. The only thing not being the same is the wall charger and I would assume the car charger. Here's my problem. I had the iphone and all it's accessories mixed in with the ipad ones. So when it came to the charger I don't know if the one I have is the iphone one or the one for the ipad. Oh also to make this more confusing one of the wall chargers vanished. The one I have says 10w and when I plug it in to the ipad it gets insanely hot. I left it in there for over an hour and I thought it was going to blow up. My question is am I using the iphone one. Or is the iphone adapter 5w?
Got my iPad on Friday, the day of the release in Canada. My iPad charged fine on my iMac and Mac Book Pro. However, it wouldn't charge with the included charger.I returned the charger to FutureShop, and they replaced it with a new one from the 10W charger accessory and everything works fine.Looks like there might be an issue with the included charger. If you have the problem, return your charger to the place where you purchased your iPad.
I just got a new Ipad 64GB and I observed that the wall charger adapter is not working.I checked the cable and it is fine as it charges the iPad when connected to the computer USB and it syncs.I also tried the wall power adapter of my iPhone and it works perfectly fine. It charges the iPad as expected. Thus it is the iPad power adapter.
whenever I plug in the wall outlet charger that came with the iPad package it doesn't work. It won't charge, but whenever I plug in the supplied cable into my mac it charges just fine. Anybody know why my outlet charger won't work? Plz and Ty to any1 that can help.
Any idea what's wrong with my ipad: i haven't used my ipad (I) for more than a year, now when it is connected to wall charger, it flashes the apple logo when you press the home button. if you keep pressing the" connect to tunes' screen appears. once you remove it from the wall charger to connect it the mac USB it goes blank "black screen".
while connected to the USB (i ve left it over night) no apple logo appears when you press the home button, just black screen. (i ve noticed infrequent flickering on the screen but that is all) of course itunes doesn't recognize it.
Is it the battery or sofware issue that needs restore in recovery mode. the problem i cannot get in the recovery mode as it goes dead once you remove it from the charger. I just want to make sure it is not software issue before sending it for battery replacement.
My problem is with my iPad Air - iOS 8.1.1 (32Gb) which is not charging with wall charger. Didn't drop it or anything similar. It just started unexpectedly couple of days ago when I plugged it in charger for night and noticed in the morning that it was not charged. First I was thinking lightning cable is broken but I also tested charging with another official cable with same result. I even tested with other official iPad 12W charger and no go.
I think I tested almost anything. Reset, restore, charging with PC and Mac and so on. One really weird thing is when I put iPad in Recovery-mode and plug it in the wall charger it charging and when I boot in "normal mode" no charging at all.
I have purchased iPad 2 from delhi but i am a civilian of Jharkhand. The iPad was working fine but unfortunately, my charger was damaged and now I am unable to charge it.I tried to search the official iPad 2 charger in my city but it is not available in my city.so What should I do? Which charger other than Apple's official charger would be able to charge my iPad..
I find this odd for a high end product like ipad. Interestingly, when connected to my HP PC with the same Apple supplied cord and with WiFi and 3G disabled, the ipad will s-l-o-w-l-y take a charge. From 6% to 30% took 3+ hours - better than a dead unit. Anyone else had this problem?
received an ad from ATT offering a new "Zero Charger," a USB wall charger for phones. It shuts off when the charging is completed, thus saving the unnecessary drain of a "Vampire Draw. The ad shows it being used with a variety of phones, including the iPhone. I'd like to get one, especially if it can be used with my iPad. I don't have a good understanding of electricity, though, and I'm worried it might cause a problem somehow
If you remember the original iPhone came with a mini brick, same style as iPad charger. Will this charger charge the iPad. Also, as long as the iPad says it charging, it is charging, but how do you know if it is go at a full charge speed.
This is my 1st post in this forum , and iam sorry its asking for help and adviceI have a ipad 64 3g that was running fine for 2 weeks, it was jailbroken.I had ample time to play with it and load critical applications. It stated with a sync issue about 5 days back, i spend a night on it installing, deinstalling, cleaning registery entries of Itunes and the whole cycle with different Ipad/Iphone/Ipod cables. It did not sync and the battey was alos running low as i found that it was now not charging too.Therfore i spend another 2 days trying with all Iphone charger and changing USB cable with nothing helping. Finally i tried resetting it to factory default. After that for 3 days all its shown is a RED pulsating low battery with a ~ icon.
After updating my iPad 1 to 5.0.1 ,the charger stopped working and now it is only charged with Apple wall charger.I also have iPhone but it is also not charging with the charger of iPhone. The cables can handle a handy amount of current so there is no any problem with cable. All this is happening after update so how to resolve this issue..Please reply soon.
I recently bought the new iPad 3 and from the beginning I had some heating issues with it and now when I tried to charge, it just filled up only for 12% after putting it for 12-13 hrs for charging. What might be the issue behind this? Can I get it replaced or is there any fix for this problem? Can you please help?
My iPad is plugged into wall charger but the battery charging indicator keeps flashing between the charging (lightening bolt) indicator and not charging (plain battery) indicator. Losing charge as this is happening.
I just purchased my IPAD 3G 4 days ago and already I'm having problems charging the battery. The power plug is not working with my computer or when plugged into the wall. I will be visiting the Apple Store tomorrow.
