Has anyone used Ipad with Canon DSLR's? I'm planning to buy an Ipad and one use case for it would be to view images on my Canon 20D that has a smallish screen. I would think Ipads big screen would be useful for quick review of taken images. So does the Ipad support RAW images? If yes, is it possible to view images through the camera connection kit through to usb cable as CF reader is not available. Is it possible to delete images on camera? Is it possible to zoom in on images to see whether they are on focus or not?
I'm a photographer and I'm interested in getting an iPad if it will let me view the RAW images on a memory card in the field to determine their quality. I don't want to use the iPad as a backup storage device; I just want to view the RAW images in a large enough size to determine whether I should keep them or throw them away. Then I want to delete those images from the memory card and from the iPad.
Then, presumably, once I've reviewed the images on the iPad, I'd have to reconnect the memory card in order to delete the ones I don't want. Would I have to re-download these selected images to the iPad in order for it to give me the option of deleting them from the memory card or can I just instruct it to delete the selected images directly from the card? I have a Canon 7D that produces 18MP RAW images, so I want to do as little unnecessary transferring of files as possible.
I have a university project of creating an electronic data and formulae book for iPad. I have started with a master view controller and have filled in the table with the chapters of the book. I would like to tap each chapter to push on to show the pages of the book and would like to use a page view controller here. I currently have a table view which pushes on to show an image i have inserted. Please could you explain or provide an example of how I can insert a page view controller after the table view so that i can tap on the table cells and be pushed on to a page view controller containing images of the pages of the book. I am new to XCode and apps..
There is a major flaw with iBooks ePub format's xhtml rendering, being that it doesn't take «width» and «height» values as «img» attributes. The result is that an image is always displayed at maximum size, unless the images sizes are defined through «div» or table cells, which is very inappropriate. All other major readers work around this issue fine, so Apple, please fix that fast if you want to become the reference when it comes to ePub rendering !Information : Mac Pro 4,1 Mac OS X (10.6.3).

After using the iPad for about 2 years now, I've come to dislike iOS on the iPad. I have a screen that could fit 4 iPhones on it, and yet an interface that has little more utility than my iPhone.
My main gripes with the system are:
1) Multitasking bar - why can't I get a mission control view or a screenshot view?
2) Home screen - far more information could fit on the home screen, not just another extra row of static icons and wide gaps of wasted space
3) Portrait mode - often is just a stretched iPhone screen, only in landscape do you get the two-paned view
4) No iPad exclusives or enhanced offerings - iWork was once only available on the iPad and it worked with the large screen, but now I don't know of any app made just for the iPad that grants it any unique functionality
And more. The iPad is essentially a luxury item and a "big iPod touch." I'm looking forward to Windows 8 tablets that retain the sleek tablet form factor but package a full PC experience with them.
Since the iPad can run all iPhone apps, why can't I view all iPhone apps from the app store ? I thought they were going to make the iPad variety more obvious or up front, but not hidden.
I just don't see a way to browse all apps. Like games for example on the iPhone app store side their are categories for different types of games. No such thing in the iPad store. (I mean for all the compatible apps from iPhone )

I'm testing out how the email attachment works on the ipad. if i send a pdf file created from a grpahics program or a jpg file as an attachment to my ipad, it comes through as being part of the email body and not as a separate attachment. If i send a text document that was exported as a pdf from word, it comes through as an attachment and i can view it in pages. Does anyone know why this happens? If it is what it is, can i save the image or pdf file to pages?
So my problem is, ever since switching to iOS 4 I've been having problems with websites automatically switching to mobile versions of their site. Being that im on an iPad, using the full version rather than a "watered down" version of websites should be the norm. So to my question, how can I prevent websites from taking me to their mobile version? Or is that even possible?
Using the camera connection kit, I transferred a number of Canon S90 CR2 files to my iPad. That worked fine as it always does. But how do I get them onto my PC?Canon Camera Window says it does not find any "camera", when the iPad is plugged in.Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Scanner and Camera Wizards do not recognise CR2 files.Nikon Transfer finds jpeg and NEF files, but obviously not CR2 files. Is there any trick I have missed, or any other software I should try? The CR2 files display well on the iPad, and I can open them in for example Filterstorm to convert them to jpeg, but that is not really a solution long term.
Would there be much demand for me to continue working on getting the WFT-4a and 5A to FTP files directly to the iPad so they could be seen in the photo app? I have the iPad allowing connections currently and will recognize jpeg files. I am not sure why it isn't liking Canon raw files, but jpegs work. I don't have a 4A or 5A to test with, but it should also allow for an AdHoc network connection so you could use the HTTP connection on the grip with the iPad.
From what I have experienced with my own iPad, it does not support Canon 7D RAW files. Will it support them with the Camera Connection Kit? Even if it does not support their viewing on the device, can they be stored there so that they can be uploaded to my MobileMe iDisk, or to my computer later?
I have tried everything to import photos from my Canon 5D to the ipad using the connector kit but nothing happen! I have tried with another camera and the same card and it was working perfectly find.DO you know the trick ? Is there anybody that already succeed with an canon 5d? If yes how ? Which position do you use ?
I Have a wifi network in the house as well as the wireless Canon printer.Does the iPad provide a method to simply print the current page(s) directly to the printer via Bluetooth? Also have Apple laptop, iPod Touch(s), and iMac 3.2 Intel in house.Don't see useful instructions in printer or iMac user guides.
