View 4 RepliesI watched a video review of the iPad case offered by Apple. They said it wasn't really worth the $40. They recommend a case by Griffin. I started to look around the internet and low and behold WALMART of all places offers more iPad accessories that I've seen on any other website. They also offer the Griffin case as well as screen covers and electrical connections. I tried to cancel my case from Apple but the order doesn't show up. It says "try another time period longer than shown" which is 30 days or something like that. My order was less than 30 days so I tried 6 months. The order STILL didn't show up. When I get it, I'll just return it. I ordered a Griffin from Walmart as well as a screen cover and electrical connections.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Is it possible to sync the 'watched' status/progress of a video between iPad and iTunes without performing a full sync?If I am on the train and watching a video, I want to carry on watching it when I get home. Now I can use AirPlay but this uses up battery,so I'd like to use the Remote app to continue watching it on my TV which is connected to my Mac Mini that has iTunes running. This works, but It doesn't recognise that I've wacted a few videos on my iPad since the last sync, so I have to manually locate it and seek to the right spot.In comparison, the amazing Plex app allows me to do this. It instantly syncs how far and what I've watched across all devices, so I can carry on from where I left off. It is so superior to iTunes in so many ways but doesn't let you sync to iPad obviously, which is the only reason why I am trying to give iTunes a shot.

iPad 2, iOS 5.1, 32GB Wifi
I have a big problem with tbhis Airplay thing when it comes to the iPad. Basically, I don't understand the need for it as it currently stands.
It will let me stream videos that are on my iPad to my AppleTV. The thing is, when I go to the effort of converting movies to the iTunes format and syncing them to my iPad, it's for the very specific purpose of watching them on my iPad when I'm away from home. I have never watched videos on my iPad while at home, when I could launch iTunes and send them to my AppleTV that way.So that's a bit pointless for most people I'd say.
It doesn't stream videos I've shot on my iPhone to the AppleTV unless they're synced back to a Mac first and then re-synced back to my iPhone. In which case I may as well just play them through the AppleTV normally, via my iTunes library. So that's pointless too, and very frustrating that they won't stream natively. Big miss there.
An "expert" was on the show discussing the new iPad. Anyways, he was asked by the host if this new iPad has Siri and he replied "Yes". That is going to disappoint and confuse a lot of people.

Curious problem over here: my iPad isn't syncing the status of watched/unwatched/partially watched TV Shows. On my other ipods/iPhone, the last place I was on a video (no matter which device) was transferred over to the other one/iTunes. The watched/unwatched status would also transfer. Not happening with my iPad. Is this a known bug/feature? If not, what's working for you guys? Information : Macbook, iPhone 3GS, iMac Core 2 Duo 21.5in, iPad Mac OS X (10.6.3).
View 2 RepliesThey all seem to have something I don't like.Apple Case - Material seems flimsy-ish, it's not exactly attractive, and I hear it's a big dust collector.BookStand - Not digging the grey fuzzy material... dust magnet. Both above have the best funtionality though. I wish they were ALL this "style".InCase Convertible - Looks great on paper, but when I watched YouTube videos it seemed like the fit wasn't all that great. Seems a little bulky. I guarantee after a certain amount of time those ridges aren't going to work very well either. Not all that sturdy.Eco Vue - horizontal tilt orientation doesn't seem like it will be good for lap viewing... that fold-out flap won't work all that great laying back in bed I think... seems like it'll constantly want to fold itself in or not balance well on a leg.

I spent years watching TV shows on my iPhone(s), and iTunes always knew to delete the watched ones. I can't figure out or find a setting to make this work on my iPad.
Have iTunes 10, latest iPad software, Snow Leopard.

I used to watch TV shows through my iPad 2 running on IOS 6 and save them sometimes if like. I cant delete the individual episodes of a show even though it is possible to remove the entire show. How can I delete the episode of a watched TV show via iPad?
View 2 RepliesRunning a wifi iPad 2. Just updated to the latest iOS...Suddenly, rented movies cannot be watched without an online connection. When I try to play them offline, it says they can not be started. I literally have to find a wifi connection, start the movie, then put it on pause and I can go someplace with no wifi to resume. But it will not allow me to start, nor to launch the app and resume unless it can get online. Any idea if this is a known bug or a new rental policy, cause if the latter it makes the iPad useless for loading rental content and watching someplace were there's no online connection.

I have both my iPad & iPhone set to sync TV Shows with the following setting: "Automatically include the 5 oldest unwatched episodes of all shows" When I have shows that are marked as watched they do not sync to the iPhone 4 (which is correct) but they continue to sync to my iPad. I cannot seem to keep them from sync'ing to the iPad. I don't want to manually control it on the iPad as I'd like to just keep sync'ing the episodes I've not watched yet (as I've done for ages on my iPhone).

View 1 RepliesI regularly have 15 to 20 short movies on my iPad. I keep losing track which I've viewed and which I haven't. Is there some way to mark movies as 'viewed'? Or some way that iTunes automatically removes the viewed movies from the iPad?

Got my iPad last week, been waiting a while as I live in New Zealand. I'm mostly happy with the product, however the day I got it I noticed a mark under the screen. I have tried to ignore it but I can't. Its only a small mark, whatever it is. When the screen is off it visible from certain angles.
Has anyone tried Instapaper on the iPad. I've never used Instapaper, but it looks interesting. My question is whether on the iPad, you can mark pages in the iPad's Safari window to read on Instapaper...or can you only mark pages while on your Mac or PC?
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to mark each book that has been read on the iPad. As numerous books are purchased and read at random it becomes a continually more difficult task to remember which you have read and which are unread.
Them method also needs to allow for multiple readers.
