Browser Redirect - Cleared The - Cookies And Cache
Aug 28, 2010
I've had my new iPad for a couple of weeks now and I am addicted and have it in my lap at bedtime every night. For the last few days when I do a search on my Safari browser, I get alot of browser redirects. I think I'm going to a certain site and then something else comes up... like VideoCop, etc.I've cleared the cookies and cache, etc and even tried a different search engine, Yahoo, and Bing and I'm still getting problems. How do I make it stop?
How can I clean my iPad 2 of cookies or cache? I know that every time that you visit a site they installed a cookie in your system and that make the system slow, but the companies use it too for sale advertising.
I've got a problem with my iPad 4. Certain sites that require a login aren't working properly. I'll put the right username and password in, click login and it'll just refresh the login screen. It doesn't do this for every site, forums work fine, but it just seems to be some standard sites. I've tried Safari, Photon and Mercury browsers with the same result for each. My iPad is jailbroken, 6.0.1. The sites that don't work on my iPad do work on my jailbroken iPhone however. I've tried the usual clear cache, cookies, history, alter cookie settings, and had no luck so far. Can't find any solution through google either.
Was getting sick of web pages having to reload every time I had more than one open so started messing around and it appears liken the Internet cache is being stored in ram or something because I cleared tHe cache and now can have a couple pages open at the same time without having to reload.Incidentally this fixed a couple other issues I was having with YouTube videos getting stuck and not playing as well as one game I have that was really choppy for some reason clearing out the Internet cache seemed to have cleared up the choppiness. Only thing I can deduce is that Internet cache is stored in ram, can't see why else it would fix a game independent of the browser.
I am using wifi on my iPad but the mail won't connect to mail.me.com. Safari is connecting to web sites ok so I went to www.me.com to read my mobileme email. Apple keeps redirecting me to an iPad welcome page. Why!! I just want to go to the web version of mobile me. Why is apple deciding I don't want to go there are redirecting me to a useless welcome page. Please stop doing this Apple. I know where I want to go. At least give me the option to go to the web version as well as the uselss welcome page.
When I open up safari and go to google it redirects to yahoo, I did a search and apparently this a a new type of virus, does anybody know what to do?I guess the problem is that generally you need to download a tool to remove viruses how do we do this on the ipad?
While I am using both Google app and Google search via Safari on my iPad 2, the initial site will disappear within a second from navigation bar and I will be redirected to a site having inappropriate contents. How to prevent this Google Redirect issue?
Downloaded one of the memory apps for the iPad and saw that my memory usage was high even considering I didn't have any apps open other than the mem app. No safari pages open either. Now clearing my safari cache freed up some memory. But after a reboot I doubled the amount. I'm wondering if some of these apps whether created for the iPad without the developers having a real one to test or the iPhone apps are not 100 percent compatible and are causing memory leaks.
I have 2 iPad3. Exact model with firmware 5.1.1. my son watches some cartoon clips in YouTube. and usually what they watched is save in the history. 1 of the iPad suddenly doesn't save the history anymore. Every time when iPad goes dim for several hours or when I reboot the iPad, all the video in the history is automatically clear. It just appended all of a sudden. The other iPad is working fine。 it will clear the history only when I choose the "clear" option. This iPad does it automatic. Both iPad does not log in to YouTube account. It's frustrating because my son is intellectual delay.with the history save ,he can always go back into history and find the video by himself. 2 iPad setting are exactly alike. An this function was working last month. All of a sudden it stop saving the YouTube history.
I have a weird problem with my iPad 2 in that I have three browsers - Safari, terra, and iCabMobile - which all work fine except when I ask them to open either the UK or US version of the Gizmodo web page. They all then open the page for 20th Feb 2011, a date before the iPad was built! Have done all the usual - cleared caches etc - to no avail. Web site is fine on my iMac.
When I visit advertising.apple.com, view the Audible example and stretch the page the browser crashes. This happens with safari, icab and the perfect browser. This kind of takes the fun out of demonstrating iads to my friends. My reason for posting this is to ask if anyone from apple monitors this forum? I cannot find a way to report problems like this.
I work in an environment which needs frequent viewing of flash enabled website but my iPad 2 fails to open flash.I tried to search it in the net but most of the post are very outdated so please inform me if there is any browser which can open flash website in iPad 2?
In the settings area I have already changed it to always accept cookies. Yet when I go to amazon site and try to login it says I need to enable cookies. I've cleaned out cache, cookies and history. No results. Is this an amazon issue?
