I have an HP 470 mobile printer with wifi and bluetooth. From what I am reading, I cannot print directly to this printer from my iPad correct? And if my printer was part of that small, exclusive list, do I need my wifi printer to be associated with a wireless network? I am a sales rep that needs to be able to print from my mobile office (my truck). I was looking forward to the new update. Why would Apple do an OS update with an extensive feature list but offer so little in terms of support? I mean really - if you are at home and you want to print something - use your desktop!
View 4 RepliesThis is weird for sure. First I am having trouble accessing my own wireless network at my own home. It finally connects and stays connected after I have to enter my password/security key. I am using a Linksys WiFi. Within 5 seconds of seeking my printer's Bluetooth, which it never locates regardless of time allowed for searching, the WiFi drops and does not reconnect despite my iPad requesting it to connect. This happens while in Bluetooth search mode. After I turn off the useless Bluetooth search, the prompt pops up and asks if I want to connect/rejoin my home WiFi network again. I do and it immediately connects back to the home WiFi network.
View 5 RepliesI have a problem with my Ipad. I have a Bluetooth Printer and just now, i wanted to test it and print out some Photos. Unfortunately the Ipad can t even find my Printer, even my mobile phone won t show on the list (which worked with every other Bluetooth). Is there a possibility to get this problem solved? I just read a Post in this Forum that the Ipad Bluetooth is locked down so it only can be used for bluetooth audio and apps oO..... It this a joke? Whats the purpose of adding bluetooth anyway when u lock it down and can just use it for things that apple sell? Sometimes i wonder if there s a jailbreak or something for the Ipad
View 1 RepliesIs it possible to print wirelessly from my iPad if i connect my iPad to my Macbook Pro via Bluetooth? What if the Macbook is connected to the printer with a USB cable? Because the printer I am getting may not be discoverable via AirPrint because of my WiFi network, I'm wondering if I work around this issue.

So i have a ipad3 with a HP deskjet 3000A printer, air play ready.
Now here's the issue: I am not allowed to connect the printer to the buildings wifi router. I am only allowed to access the internet, not able to add devices.
The printer has a firewire port on the back, is there a way for me to wirelessly connect the printer to my ipad? I don't even mind running a cable, either way works.
Just need to be able to print from my ipad3 to the printer.

View 4 RepliesI already have a dock - I'm interested in the bluetooth keyboard, but won't be using it all the time. I'd like to use it sometimes and use the onscreen at other times (on the go or for quick text). To do this, do I need to disable/enable bluetooth each time? Does bluetooth enabled drain the battery faster (and if so, by how much)? If I disable bluetooth and then re-enable it, do I need to re-sync the keyboard or will it remember the settings?
View 9 RepliesI was wondering if you can use the bluetooth capability in the Ipad to access a bluetooth hard drive or flash drive for extra storage? If not do they have any plans to make this available in future updates. Just curious. I am going to be doing some camping and would like to be able to store extra movies and such on my Ipad.
