we running an iPad pilot within our company and I'd like to use the internal wifi guest network. the guest network is using a loghin page with userid and password and a little checkbox to accept the terms.when i connect with the ipad (and iphone as well) and fill in the required fields it nicely connects. but after sleep or a reboot it keeps coming with the login page and needs the uid/pw/checkbox. I can make the ipad remember the uid/pw and it fills them in the login page but it keeps wanting the checkbox.there should be some automatic protocol to auto login so I connect to the company wifi just like it is at home (i know, wpa2 at home is completely different, but for the end user is isn't
I have a Ipad 3 at workplace. To use the Wifi available in Workplace , i have to login to the splash page as soon as i select the Wifi from Settings. Once i enter my credentials i am connected to WIFI. But if i move away from workplace and come back again , i have to enter the login details again to get connected to Wifi. Atleast i end up entering these credentials 2 or 3 times daily. Is there a way to avoid these login in splash page. I searched google and tried to make safari to remember the password , but that didnt work as well.
Is there any app in Appstore or Cydia. My Ipad is jailbroken , i couldnt find any app in appstore or cydia to avoid this.
Got my iPad yesterday and am very happy with it. But occasionally it will drop my secure connection and re-connect to the Guest network (simultaneous dual-band Airport). I'm going to try to set the iPad to forget the other two, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Cannot Connect To Internet After Login To WiFi Network
Jun 7, 2012
I can log-in to my wifi network but all I see is a spooling circle next to my netowrk name as if it is trying to connect, but it does not. Every other device in my house is working fine connecting to the internet, but my ipad will not connect.
How Do I Disable Wifi Auto Connect For A Particular Wifi Network
Sep 15, 2011
I recently connected my iPad to a wifi network with weak signal strength. Now my emails get stuck in my outbox instead of being sent. I can turn off wifi and use 3g, but then I have to remember to turn it back on when I leave. How do I stop the iPad from auto-connecting to the faulty wifi?
I've read the old posts. I've adjusted the brightness and turned off auto brightness. I've changed my dhcp proxy to auto.Same as everyone else, my macbook, ibook and iphones all connect to the network and access internet with NO PROBLEMS.The Ipad will join the network, but will not access online content. Always times out. This just started happening on day 2.We all know this began back in early April.
Unable To Connect /can Connect To My Guest Network?
Aug 15, 2010
I have a Time Capsule set up with a Guest Network. Two of my visiting siblings both have iPads (one with v3.2 and one with v3.2.1) and neither of them can connect to my Guest Network.
I tried changing the security type for the Guest Network and even turning it off altogether, so no password would be required, but neither iPad would connect. The Guest Network itself appears to work fine, as my wife's MacBook connected to it no problem.
As a temporary solution, I added my sister's iPad's MAC address to my access control list and let her join my primary network, but I'd really like to figure out why the iPads are being excluded from the Guest Network

IPad :: Could Not Login To IMessage - Check Network Connection

General :: IPad Always Asking For Network Password Even In Auto Connect Mode
Jul 13, 2013
Whether it's the iPad (4th Gen) being powered off or reconnecting to my home WiFi router (after using a free WiFi hotspot) , I have to reenter the home network password. I've tested my network with a friends iPad 2 and my old iPad 1, and they do not require the password. And yes, all 3 are set to automatically connect, but it's just the iPad 4 that keeps asking for the password.
I am trying to use my ipad at work with the guest WLAN they provide to customers. I have the correct username and password to use when the web authentication screem comes up. When i type it in and hit submit, the page just freezes and nothing happens. What is going on?
I'm in a hotel room and can log in with my Macbook to the hotel wifi, and my wife's iPad can log in to the hotel's wifi, but mine will not. I can see the wifi and connect to the wifi, but then a screen comes up and asks for the username and password. When I enter the username and password (and press enter) the screen locks and nothing else happens. If I do not enter a username and password and press enter I am told the password is incorrect. If I actually enter random letters as username and password, the screen locks. The login is going to login.nomadix.com.I have tried the usual network resets, powering on and off, and power+home button reset. None of these work. This is the second time I have had this problem at this hotel, but I do not have problems anywhere else that I am aware of.
So after playing with my new iPad all weekend, I was looking forward to bringing it to work today to share with co-workers. The major issue I am running into is that I can't gain real access to the office wi-fi.
I'm not sure what the technical term is for it, but to connect to the Wi-Fi you're taken to a webpage where you login and then go about your business. On a laptop, after login the browser pops up a window that lets you know you're logged in and has your 'session' details. On the iPad, this screen cannot be moved past. It just sits there, no way to close it. Closing Safari then terminates the connection.
Is there a solution to this or is connecting at work via Wi-Fi pretty much not going to happen?
Can't login to my library wifi. It is different than most other networks in that it asks for a login and password using it's own screen. I don't believe that it is Flash because I have connected to the network before. The network seems to not have any difficulty with Apple iPhones and other Apple products.
I find that every time I switch in my iPAD - I need to manually connect to my home wifi network. Whereas my iPOD automatically finds the network or at least asks to join the network. Withthe iPAD I have to go into settings evry session to switch onthe WIFI .
My settings are: the same for both: WIFI :ON mynetwork : ticked Ask to Join Networks: ON Search domains: home (I can't seem to switch this to nothing) HTTP proxy: Auto
WiFi Authentication - Containing Login And Password
May 20, 2010
Hello all! I am facing problems with the Ipad when I have tryed to connect to hotspots that require to fill a welcome form containing LOGIN and PASSWORD. After the inputs, nothing happened.
I don't think I'm having problems with the Wi-Fi but instead this is a Safari problem. When I'm at the university, they have this login screen to input your username and password, nothing new, I do it everyday either on the Macbook or in the iPhone.
When it comes in in the iPad I put all the data and usually pressing enter or the continue button will make it go, but instead Safari -or the auto login window that comes in before using the browser or any application- just stays there without responding to my fingers.
Have anyone experience something similar? I don't think it's a WiFi issue because it works perfectly with my home's router and even my iPhone MiWi tethering.
I brought the iPad on my first European trip since getting it and have attempted to connect to the TDC network on the train and the network here at the hotel. In both cases, have had the same exact experience... the iPad sees the WiFi network with no problem, and pops up the Login screen for that provider with no problem. I go to the userid/password fields, key in the information as requested, and then either hit "Go" on the onscreen keyboard or touch the "Login" button beneath the userid & password fields. In both cases, absolutely nothing happens. It's as if the screen is dead... but it isn't. I can touch the "Accept terms" checkbox and that turns off and on. SOMETIMES I can click on the text field again to get the keyboard to try "Go" on the keyboard, but not always and in every case it again nothing happens. For "Go" you hear the keyboard click so the screen captures the touch, but in the case of touching "Login" nothing happens.
