View 5 RepliesI've been using Text+ to send and receive free text messages almost a week now.
I am so impressed that I decided to buy the ad free version. It works exactly like the free version but minus the ads.I love the interface. It looks similar to iChat or like the messaging app on my iPhone. And best of all you get FREE unlimited texts!
Forgive me if this question has already been asked, but I could not find anything similar when searching.
Do members of the forum think that it would be possible to send and receive text messages on the 3G version of iPad?

Can I send text messages from a non 3G/4g ipad 4s . I do see text that we're sent to my iphone on my ipad but when I try to send a text from ipad to someone I get "not delivered"...
View 3 RepliesMy iphone can send either regular text messgages or imessages by either enabling or disabling the imessage feature. Why can't I do this with my ipad. If I disable my imessage feature on the ipad and then go into the texting app, it still requires me to log into my Apple ID and then it sends the message as an imessage. Not all of the people I want to text have imessage capabiltiy, so this forces me to use my iphone to text them. I see no reason why the ipad can not be just as flexible as the iphone. If I can't have both capabiltiites on the ipad, I'd rather forget imessaging, but I don't know how to "undo" the imessage capability now.

View 1 RepliesI use iMessage on my iPad both parties are on a strong WiFi connection, browsing, Facebook etc all work fine, but iMessage can sometimes take like 10+ minutes to receive a message from when it's sent. Sometimes I'll be sending messages and they go through, then all of a sudden they stop going through and don't go through for like ten minutes. I've tried closing the app in the multitasking bar, rebooting, restoring my iPad.
