Good day all you happy MacRumors forumers.
I have a small question from a friend. I don't own an iPad, so I'm asking the question on his behalf.
On a "web app" or rather a dedicated user interface website on Safari, he wanted to tap on a link, but the whole board is selected instead. He told me on the PC he double-clicked to access it. Here's a picture of the website, I've rounded the selected table in blue so you get to see what's being selected.
Anyway, is there a way to double-tap on the iPad ? Does anybody have a suggestion on how to bypass this so that he can tap on the link directly ?
Is There A Gesture To Simulate Double Click In Safari?
I have a web app at work that requires double clicks in a browser to open content (digital asset management - Canto Cumulus). I was excited to come in to work & browse images, but viewing categories requires a double click on the category name, and obviously, all that does is zoom in/out the browser page! Does anyone know if there's a way to simulate a double click in Safari? I've tried holding 2 fingers on the screen while double clicking with a third - combos like that - nothing works.

IPad 3 Will Not Open Email Attachments Using Webmail?
We own a iPad 3, iOS 5.1.1 (the iPad belongs to my wife) therefore she has her own account set up using the iPad's email program (I do not have my email account on this iPad as we want to keep our accounts separate). When I login to my email account using my webmail I can not open any attachment whether it be pdf.doc, txt ext etc? when I select the document (attachment) nothing happens - if my wife has any pdf's attached to her emails using the iPad's email program they open without any problems? We have 3rd party apps such as PDF Reader and also iBooks which can read ePub files - I am not talking about downloading files here, I am simply talking about the capacity to just open and read an attachment which I can not do with our iPad - we have plenty of memory and drive space, therefore I think it is a bug which might be due to a combination of the webmail program and the iPad not working with each other.

Ok so everything has been good with the iPad2 until today when all of a sudden a tap on an app does not open the app but a box around the app shows up. Actually it does this with everything ie. on the google search area, to close a tab in the browser.... everything. Then to get the app to open or to be able to type in the search bar I have to TAP TWICE. To make it even more wiered when the key board comes up I have to TAP 3 times to get the letter to show. One tap and I get the box around the letter and then 2 taps to get the letter. ALSO ---- I can not scroll the screen..... Help! I tried turning it off holding the on/off
switch and the switch on the side but when I turn it on my problem is still there.

Flick recent apps to rightVery inconsistent behavior. I'd call not having the "running now" application in the list a bug because it means you can't always just jump right back into it.
Maps Open When Click Safari
Suddenly when I click Safari my maps opens automatically instead and I cannot view pages or log to Internet - no browser. It's like when I click on Safari icon the OS prompts Maps to open. I've restarted iPad, cleared cache, history, and cookies and it doesnt work. I had a few pages open that I would have a hard time retrieving so I would prefer avoiding resetting all settings.
