IPad :: Since Upgrade Cannot Find Home Button In Kindle App / Cannot Get To Archive Of Past Purchases
Since I downloaded the kindle app upgrade the usual process of tapping the top of the iPad screen to access the home button has stopped working. I cannot access any of my books except the one I was reading at the time of the upgrade. I have tried turning the iPad off and on again. No luck!

So, my grandparents have an iPad 2 and they've forgotten the passcode. The computer that the iPad was originally associated with has been thrown away, and all we have now is my sister's MacBook and the mentioned iPad. Yes, we have access to their Apple ID and passcode.
I've tried slipping it into recovery mode and plugging it into the MacBook. Unfortunately, it will take at least 2 hours to restore the iPad, but recovery mode will only stay on for 15 minutes. The problem is fairly obvious.
The iPad is not connected to Find my iPhone, leaving Recovery Mode as the only option left. What do I do?(We cannot remember the iOS type, but I'm guessing it is somewhere around 6.0)

Cannot Find Hotspot Option In It
If I go to Settings>General>Network there are just VPN and Wi-Fi setting and no hotspot. Any idea how to get it ? I did Reset Network Settings but nothing happened. If I try to set APN Settings under Internet Tethering it doesn't save them - when I go out of settings menu and come back all the fields are empty. in my other mobiles i can use this function and the same simcard if i use in ipad 3 ...i cant find my hotspot to turn it on.
