Across An Image Online - Type Of Wireless Keyboard
May 18, 2010
I came across an image online of an iPad docked, and a wireless keyboard. I've never seen this DOCK before, nor have I seen this type of Wireless Keyboard. It looks like it has a trackpad on the far right side. Just curious if anyone knows of these products, and if so, anymore information? Links?
Is There ANY Wireless Mouse That Will Work With The IPad 2 And Apple's Wireless Keyboard
Apr 11, 2012
I have the iPad 2 and Apple's Wireless Keyboard and would like to purchase a wireless mouse that will accommodate my Apple products. I do understand that Apple's Magic Mouse is not compatible with the iPad 2, but would like to hear if there is any possibility that i could use a wireless mouse with my iPad.
If I leave my onscreen keyboard on, the keys type by themselves. I have to keep restarting my iPad. Is there a way to calibrate the iPad? If I do the soft reset, will it delete all my apps, music, etc?
Doing a lot of PhotoShop work at the moment, i've need to utilize a larger display. I've therefore had to put my laptop to the side an connect a larger display to use primarily.
Now (noting i'm on PC), I have a mouse but not a standard USB keyboard. Is there a way I can utilize the iPad's soft keyboard to type on my PC? I remember using an iPhone app once to do this, but never seen it done on iPad
I've been searching all around, but I just cannot find an app that I am dying for.
I have an old X-Keys that is great, but not as customizable as I'd like. I thought for sure there would be an app on the iPad that could replace it.
An app where you can define buttons on the iPad (in pages, or sorted in whatever way), so that when you hit them, they run a command on the mac. This could be a keypress, a series of keypresses, a AppleScript, an Automator script, iTunes...whatever.
This is somewhat doable using TouchOSC and OSCulator, but as far as keyboard commands, OSCulator only supports a single keypress or key command, so I can't program one to type "Graphic" for instance, without going through some pain. This is an example from TouchOSC.
Has anyone heard of an app that does this? If I knew how to code apps, I'd make this in a heartbeat, and then retire in the mountains.
I've now had my iPad 2 for a week and overall I'm very pleased with it. Besides my gripe with Apple for not including wireless synching (something I've discussed in detail in other threads, so I won't tread there again) my only issue is with the keyboard. Now, I consider myself a fairly quick typist and I find the keyboard, while generally good, misses letters while I try to type. I assume this is a responsiveness issue. Is there a way to improve the keyboard so that I don't have to slow my typing?
Pop-up Keyboard Appears While Trying To Type Low Down On The Screen
May 16, 2012
Since the recent software upgrade this week, my pop-up keyboard gets in the way when I try to type low down on the screen. I've had every generation of iPad and this didn't happen before, because the screen would move up, keeping the typing from being hidden behind the keyboard. Now if I move it up manually it slides back down. It's happening in several different apps and in some cases (e.g. In Keynote) makes it all but impossible to type anything. What changed and how can I fix it? Please don't tell me to buy an external keyboard, I like doing all my typing on the screen and I'm hoping it's just some setting I've inadvertently changed.

How To Attach Wireless Keyboard To IPad? What Will Be The Cost Of A Good Keyboard?

Conflict Between Wireless Keyboard And Keyboard Docking Station
Oct 18, 2010
It would appear that if you have your IPAD in a keyboard docking station and you have a wireless keyboard nearby, the keyboard in the docking station exhibts unstable behavior, specficially: o keys will repeat without the key being held down o cap lock light will not light. Disabling the wireless keyboard (removing the batteries for example) seems to resolve the issue.
Apple Wireless Keyboard Vs Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard?
Apr 24, 2012
Decided to go with one of these instead of the folding ones But can't decide between these two. The apple keyboard is solid and lighter but expensive The Logitech comes with its own case and optimized for the iPad but heavier
If you support the apple, what case that's good but cheap you recommend besides a zip lock bag?
Keyboard Dock - Wobbles Around And Doesn't Let Me Type At All ?
Sep 14, 2010
I just bought a brand-new iPad keyboard dock, and guess what... It doesn't work! I try to plug it in, and the iPad wobbles around and doesn't let me type at all! And in the Apple Case, and this is worst of all, I can't even get it to connect! In fact, I think this dock might have ruined my connector permanently, because now it takes at least two or three tries to make my iPad sync to my PC! Note that all I'm using is FIRST PARTY ACCESSORIES here! Don't you think a company like Apple should have made sure it's accessories actually WORKED?!?!
IPad 3 :: Keyboard Sometimes Doesn't Type A Letter?
Apr 21, 2012
when I'm typing something some characters don't show, it's not any particular letter or number but it does happen frequently. For example, if I type "word" it may show as "ord". At first I thought I was just not actually touching the particular character that didn't show o I started (note: the word just before I in this sentence is SUPPOSED to be so but only the o is showing- that's exactly what I'm talking about!!) has anyone else had this issue with the iPad 3?
