Is it possible to download/access music files from Dropbox without an Internet connection just like it is possible to view photos and documents from dropbox without Internet connection by downloading them.

If I do some editing or add to the document how do I get back into dropbox? I do not want to go through iTunes or email it to myself. I just want to return the document to dopbox.
View 4 RepliesI have a dropbox on my PC at home and am abroad for a few months with only my iPad. But i forgot to transfer music before i left. I have managed to get my flatmate to put some mp3's into my dropbox but i cant work out how to get them transferred to the iPod app.
Also it would be useful to be able to transfer avi files to the VLC or DivX apps.
I connect my iPad (WiFI model) to hotspots in Starbucks, hotels, Boingo - no problem. On a recent rip thru airports and NY train stations, I cannot access to the Internet via "free WiFi hotspots". The iPad shows a strong WiFi connection but a message comes up "Cannot access the Internet".

View 4 RepliesI sync my iPad with iTunes on my computer, so it ends up with all the same music. But when I'm using my iPad, I can't get onto iTunes unless there's an internet connection. (Right? Is that normal? Seems silly to me, if I only want to use it to play my music and not to shop.) So I end up just clicking on the "Music" app that's automatically on the iPad, and play my music from there. It has all the same music, but my custom playlists get rearranged with the songs out of order. (Though it plays normal albums in the right order.)
Am I doing something really stupid? Because it certainly seems like one of Apple's own products with a built-in music app should be able to play an iTunes playlist correctly. My ancient iPod certainly plays playlists in the correct order.
I am using Office HD to update former xlsx or Word files. I downloaded legacy files from PC laptop to Dropbox. I also have File Manager but not sure I need that; seems redundant. I want to save and backup files via dropbox or icloud. When I create or update a file in Office it saves to folders in Office. I do not see how to save or move the updated file to Dropbox or File Mgr.
I do not want to keep moving them from one folder structure to use, and another structure to backup.
So trying to FaceTime my brother's iPhone4, and everytime it connects, I just see a black screen, and then it says it failed, and my internet dies. Not just on my iPad, but my desktop (which is hooked up via ethernet) and my iPhone wifi die as well. If I DON'T do FaceTime, internet runs fine!

View 3 RepliesI have a jailbroken iPad wifi (non 3G) and I've recently bought the camera connection kit which has a USB port (which supposedly detects/connects to even non-camera devices like USB keyboards, USB flash drives, etc).
I was wondering if it would be possible to attach a 3G USB modem/data card and make the Internet work without wifi? The 3G data card otherwise requires a bare-minimum wvdial from a normal Linux terminal.
1. Can I get/install the wvdial .deb package on my jail broken iPad?
2. If I can get the package, will this work (wvdial detecting and using the USB modem and connecting through it?), or is it too far out?
I have a mobile broadband connection (Verizon) on my notebook. I am running Windows 7 Premium (32bit). I would like to connect to the internet using the broadband card and then use the wifi connection in the notebook to create a hotspot so I can connect with my iPad and share the broadband connection.
I have set up the adhoc connection and I can get the iPad to see the connection. (having some problems with the password) but on the Windows side, it just says waiting for connection.I know this can be done. It must be some security setting some place.Any ideas greatly appreciated
My wife's iPad 2 just stopped being able to surf the internet or use apps which require an internet connection. It connects to our home wifi network just fine and shows strong signal strength, but when she goes to use something requiring a connection to the internet, it tells her that she has no connection to the internet.

View 4 RepliesI'm trying out Airprint in 4.2, and I'm confused.1) I can only see the 'Print' option in Photos, Mail and Safari, so how do we print files in iDisk, Dropbox, Docs2Go, etc.?2) when I try to print to a printer connected to my PC, it is seen OK, but when I select it, I get a prompt that says 'Password required for Epson.... @ Iain-PC'! Evey username and password combo I know just fails. I have no idea about passwords on printers.
