It seems that if you change your Apple ID. Have a now defunct email address, changed it to new email address/ID via my iPad within cloud/itunes in settings. All works ok - but when I go to update my apps in the 'update  all apps' section, it puts my old email address in the  Apple ID and of course, there's no way to change it. Tried deleting the account and starting over etc.etc. but the old email address is still there. Can't update anything now!
Apple started sending emails to (qualifying only?) iPad customers, which instructions on how to activate Unlimited 3G service with AT&T.it also explains the terms and conditions to keep in mind to avoid loosing it.Hopefully this will be helpful to those who still have trouble getting this accomplished.
Just got the new Ipad and the apple ID, only in the app store, not settings, is incorrect. How can I change it? In the settings it is the correct apple ID, but when you go to update or purchase an app, it is that screen that has the wrong apple ID.
I have sync my ipad to icloud, and then wiped my ipad. Now the problem is that when I ask it to sync with icloud it says that my apple id ore password are wrong. I have reset my password but it still say that something is wrong. I then check that my password and apple id is working. I have no trouble logging on to itunes or icloud from my pc.
I don't know how to transfer the data plan from the old iPad to the new iPad. There was a problem with the old one, so the apple store replaced it, but didn't not install the data plan, and my son didn't tell me for a few days. Ideas?
I signed up for the 5gb plan and I have talked with two AT&T customer service people that tell me Hotspot is included with my iPad data plan. Are they right? If so, how do I activate the hotspot on my iPad?
I scored a Verizon iPad 2 on eBay. Arrived to me fully wiped. I wiped it again just to be extra sure and went to activate the cellular by going from Home Screen -> Settings -> Cellular Data -> View Account.
Instead of seeing the fields for my credit card, address, etc. I am getting a login/password screen.
I am trying to activate facetime on my ipad 2. I keep on getting the message " Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again". Meanwhile I am able to connect to the internet using the same network.
I have just bought my new ipad 3. And i've insert my microsim. But whenever i sign in using apple id trying to activate my imessage, it always back to "Sign in with your Apple ID to activate imessage." i have create a new apple id as well. But the verify message didnt sent to my email address.
I bought an iPad 2 person (ipad 2 wifi 16gig black) model (a1395) which unfortunately I forgot the password screen so the operating system re-install the previous one, but unfortunately it did not remove the device from your icloud account that's why I can not activate your device, and unfortunately, that person (the seller) have access to email her.
I have used this iPad 2 for years without problems. A few days ago, I decided to upgrad to iOS 7.1.2 from 7.1.1.I did a full restore to factory defaults. I do that once in a while in order to fix battery leak (when idle) problems.
The upgrade to 7.1.2 went just fine, the iPad rebooted, I went through the normal procedure, English, Wifi, etc. After 3, 4 minutes it says: the activation server is temporarily unavailable... I tried dozens of times, again and again 3 days in a tow.
an iPad in good condition stops working because it cannot activate.I went to Apple Store Genius bar, but after they tried themselves again to do another restore, they got the same result. It does not activate.
They told the iPad has an internal component that has problems (in other words it is defective) and this is why it does not activate. They offered me to give me 150$ to get a new one, or to fix it for 250$.I told them to plug one of their diagnostics device / utility in order to see what is going wrong. The error that I get on the screen does not tell that my iPad is defective, and the iPad is NOT defective.
I can tell that because I used it fine so far, the restore went fine, just the activation does not work.I will keep complaining, again and again in the store until they do something. This is not acceptable.
I bought a used ipad 3rd generation about two months ago and the person who sold it to me left the sim card in. i have tried to set up a new Verizon account with that sim card, and it did not work. i was wondering if i needed to buy a new sim card or something.
I recently broke the screen of my iPad but the hardware was working very well. Today I got it back from the repair service I gave it to (not Apple store), and when I turn on the iPad, it tells me to activate the iPad using my Apple ID, I enter all my info correctly, but it doesn't unlock. Did they give me a wrong iPad, did I get scammed?
For some reason my email was being pushed to my iPad even though I turned it off. So I did a reset by pushing the sleep and home button. Before the reset my battery showed 74% when it came back on it showed 82%.
I recently dropped my iPad 4th Generation on the ground and cracked the front. I went to repair it myself because 300-350 dollars which is WAY to expensive to replace a screen. When I finished my repair and closed the iPad, there was a dark dim on one side of the iPad and the other side is completely fine. The picture below shows a perfect example, one side is bright, the other is dimmed. BTW, it may seem like it was a bad picture, but I can assure you, it is actually very accurate of what is happening.
