Won't Work With Printing / Can't Print Emails And Documents
Mar 25, 2010
I've preordered my ipad and have been talking it up to my friends and family. Several have asked how it differs from using a laptop or desktop computer. I've been thinking about it and pretty much everything i do on my computers i'll be able to do on my ipad. I may have to do them a little differently but they can be done and i'm looking forward to doing them on an instant-on device, super portable device.
The only think that is possibly a major difference is printing. I know that you can print photos from the iphone os devices but i haven't seen a way to print emails and documents with good clarity.
Am i missing an app that allows you to do this well. The ones i've tried basically just print an image of the document not the document itself.
I have an iPad 2 and am currently without a computer. How do I print things like documents or web pages? What printer is best for this? I'm willing to buy a wireless printer, but only if it works with the iPad without a computer.
I posted this in another thread, but it's getting lost.. Question on the software:
1. can you create a document with Pages, and print it with Air Sharing? if so, how? email it to yourself or can u pull it directly?
2. i read u can print to "shared printer" on a mac. what if my printer is hooked up to an Airport.. so it's wireless and all my macs can print to it. would this work? or the printer has to be hard wire connected to my mac pro?
3. can the app view files from Dropbox? - print files in Dropbox?
I already know I need to buy an AirPrint enabled printer ... but what applications do I need ? I have the first iPad that came out ... also , is there any programs to make word documents ? like so I can make projects and stuff with the iPad ?
I have updated the Pages app on my iPad 2 this week. Since then, I am not able to print documents from that app. The app gets frozen on sending page documents for printing via AirPrint. What should I do to restore that app to normal state?
I have just recently purchased the ipad2 and not ever using any other Apple product before, I am impressed with the ease that you can add or delet an app. One thing I would like to know is, do I have to keep downloading apps just to print off?
For example my ipad2 is linked into my network ok, on which I have a wireless Brother printer. When I want to print a webpage off it won't find the printer. However, I can download a Brother printing app for photos and pdfs, but this will not allow me to print off a webpage. I know some apps can be fairly cheap or free, but cost does add up if you are on a tight budget.
I have just installed a hp 6500a and it works perfect with my windows can email an email direct to printer BUT when I try to do it from my IPad it will print photos or documents but not emails it comes back with a failure.
I have downloaded some apps like printer pro and printer share and both of them allow me to print direct to printer but not emails anyone got an idea what to do?
I am a Stock Broker and is having a lot of PDF books on stock market on my iPad 3. One of my colleagues wanted some handouts on study of Stock markets. How can I print these PDF books?. Any help is appreciated
I have Pages and Print Central and happily printed away for weeks. Then I updates the iPad op system and had a print central update and now I do have Print Central open and I can print other things (I.e. Off the web, from email etc.)
I am trying to print e-mails, web pages etc from IPad 2 to HP Photosmart B109n-z. When I tap on a page and select print I get error message stating that "No Airprint printers available". When I tap on a PDF doc I get the option to select "Print" or "HP ePrint Home & Biz", if I select "Print" I get the same message as above, but if I select "HP ePrint Home & Biz" it prints the doc.
Each time I turn on my iPad (3G, 64gig), the Mail Icon has a number "2" next to it. One would assume that there are two emails on the server waiting for me. However, when I click on Mail and open the app, there are no emails.
Can you save a pages or numbers doc can you print the file from your ipad using print n share? Or what about emailing it and then opening through their email app and printing it? Just seeing if anyone has tried this and if so give some insight on it.
Has anyone come up with a print solution other than emailing a document to your self and printing on desktop. HP has the wireless photo print app so why couldn't they do this for documents and emails etc.?
I just wanna know whether I can print documents via my iPad. Yes i heard an Application named Airprint where we can Print any Documents of our iPad using it. So I wanna know how to perform the operation of Printing Documents using Airprint in my iPad. Kindly do let me know where do i get this Airprint Application. Please don’t provide short answers, I would really Appreciate if your answers are more Elaborated. Thanks!!!
Looking for an app that allows me to print from my iPad, would mostly be printing documents created in pages. Preferably would not require any software on my laptop as my printer is wifi capable. I tried the official Epson app, but it is hot garbage.
I've been searching for an application to print documents, web pages to a PDF file and store that PDF file in my dropbox directory, skydrive or Google Drive or being able to open it with Acrobat.I tried several apps, but no one seems to do what I need.
I have loaded a printer app that works for my iPad 2 however when I try to print an email the printer looks for an Air Printer. All of my other apps show the print app as an available printer. How do I print my emails wit another app besides Air Print?
My iPad 3 will display the printer dialogue box when I try to print the documents from it. It also shows the name of the printer connected in the printer list. But when I tap on the ‘print’ button, the printer dialogue box will disappear immediately and nothing gets printed on the paper. What is the reason behind this issue and how can I over come it?
I've been given one by work in order to work efficiently on the move. Part of my work involves writing press releases and distributing them via googlemail, either on a dedicated email app, or via safari.
My big problem is that i can't format text in anyway. I need to be able to underline, bold, and change font sizes. I did manage to do this on 'pages' but then every time i copied and pasted the text into the email client all formatting was removed.
Can anyoen think of a solution? I need the text to keep its format when pasted into the email client, or be written in the client with the formatting controls? If I write emails through a computer there are the usual buttons in the client to bold, underline etc.
