My ipad works on wifi elsewhere, but at home it wont.It can see the network.I've input the mac address to the router
When Wep is on the ipad shows a padlock and when I tell the ipad its wep, it asks me for a password. I input the wep key(many times, checking carefully) but it says wrong password. When I disable security on the router, the padlock disappears from the ipad but it still wont connect. If I click on the arrow of the network a page comes up with all sorts of stuff about IP Address (DHCP BootP Static) and HTTP Proxy (off Manual auto)
Unable To Connect Wifi Address To Connect To Home Router
Dec 6, 2010
i got the 64gb 3g ipad from the US however when trying to enter the wifi address on the ipad into my router, it doesnt accept it. is there anyway i can find a wifi address that will work as i havent got money to purchase a 3g card yet.
I have had my IPAD for a couple of months and it works like a champ, for the last week or so I have had trouble connecting to the internet only at home, everywhere else, office, hot-spots, it connects just fine. It started connecting slow, like there was a delay, rather then instant like before, now it will not connect at all, other wi-fi devices connect, I have not added or changed anything.I have a Linksys WKR54G router, could it be going bad, I know it's sort of old, like I said it was working fine but now it will not connect tot he internet.
I just got an iPad and cannot connect to the internet. I am able to connect to the network and show a full signal, however, when I go to Safari I receive a cannot open page because not connected to the internet error message. Have tried ISP and Apple and still no resolution.
Can I use my 3G iPad with my home router and not pay for any plan. Because if the 3G is useless unless I pay another data plan on top of my iphone plan, I will just buy the iPad with wi-fi and not pay for any other service. It's not really a good deal because you are getting charged twice for the same internet.
Gigantic Tablet Screen - Does Not Have Router At Home ?
Feb 6, 2010
I know that the iPad uses a AirPort Extreme N card and so does my router at home + my MacBook Pro. Now, we need the ability to use the iPad as a monitor for the MacBook Pro and also function as a tablet. That way, I could leave my MacBook somewhere and use my tablet (iPad) around the house for easy use.
Connected To Home Router But Apps Saying No Internet Connection
May 14, 2011
My iPad has worked flawlessly with my home router since I got it six months ago but now, suddenly, every app says there is no internet connection -- even though it shows that it is connected to the router. Even more curious, my iPhone continues to connect to the internet through the same router. After I couldn't get a connection at home with my iPad, I went to Starbucks and had no problem connecting and going online via WiFi. Then when I got back home, iPhone works and iPad doesn't.
IPad 2 Dropping Wi-Fi Signal From Home Network Wireless Router

It seems that my iPad 2 not detecting Wi-Fi signals from the wireless router used in home network. What are the trouble shooting steps for fixing up Wi-Fi on iPad?
Connecting To Home Router WiFi Network (Wrong Password)
May 20, 2012
I just purchased new iPad and am at home attempting to connect to our router wifi network. The iPad keeps kicking us out and telling us we are using the wrong password. We have tried changing the networks, i.e. WPA, WPA2, WPA2 Enterprise, etc. and it won't connect.
I have decided that the router has a fault and it is time to replace. I would appreciate help in choosing a new router, as i am not tech savvy in that way.I have iphone, imac, PC, apple TV, PS3, and Wii that i use wireless for. I now also have my iPad. So i want it to be proven success with iPad as i know some people have had wireless issues with some routers. It has been suggested to me that the Draytek Vigor 2820n Wireless router is the way to go, as it has a very strong signal, and i have an old house with lots of stone walls. I want to use my equipment all around my house and in the garden area too.
I'm an old PC user and broke down & got an iPad.I can join it to my home network but now need to figure out where to enter the 10 digit number off the bottom of the router. On the laptop, it goes in the block Wireless Security Password (Encryption Key). Dont' really want to go into the router and change it away from a WEP data encryption, too much stuff on the laptop to do that.
My brand new ipad on ios 3.2.2 connects fine to my router and my jailbroken iphone running Mywi. However, I cant connect to an ad hoc network set up on my laptop running vista. My iphone connects to the ad hoc without any problems. I've tried everything, static ips, wep, wpa, hard resets, restoring, resetting network settings but no go. How can' everything else be fine but not connecting to the ad hoc network, especially since it works fine to connect with the iphone?
Btw, the ad hoc is for controlling music software on the laptop through wifi. It's not for getting internet.
I am on my second Ipad. the same problem I have a bigpond thomson router modem the ipad recognises it but wont connect. I tried going to maccas again same problem recognises it but will not connect. My iphone4 same problem however the iphone4 did connect in Maccas. I have tried to change channels on my moden I have reset it etc I am in Darwin so there is vitually no one who can help.
Also Bluetooth the ipad and iphone4 will recognise devices
Have noticed that my ipad 2 ( as well as two iPod touches 4th gen) won't connect to my wifi from my router, 2 wii's and pc lap top do, we can still connect as I have airport Internet sharing turned on via my desktop but that network is not supposed to be as strong or fast . The ipad did hook up to the router 2 days ago but then yesterday it went back to the other, there is no renew lease option or forget this network option, or any info in the fields when I hit the blue arrow for the router net work, the router is only a few months old and my printer is on that network as well
Not sure if I am posting to the correct community or not but will give it a shot. I just moved from a home where I had the Comcast cable modem and my airport Extreme. No issues there. Now Comcast has given me the new Xfinity modem/router combination and I'm unable to maintain a connection to the network with my ipad. This is not an issue on my G5 Mac, or my Apple TV, but our two Ipads (original Ipad and an Ipad 2) simply say "unable to connect to network". Network is there, strong signal, it just won't connect. Today I tried to see if my iPhone would connect to the network via Wi-fi and of course it won't either. I've called Comcast 3 times now in the past week. When they reset the modem/router it fixes the problem - for a few hours - then it drops the network and can't reconnect.
I have a new ipad. When I try to connect it to my Linksys WRT120N router it asks for the password. When I enter 'admin' it says ˜incorrect password for linksys. I have reset the linksys and it therefore should recognise the password. To access the router backroom I enter 192.168.1.1 in my computer url, enter the same password, it just repeats the request and I get nowhere. Other wifi connections work fine.
