Won't Connect To Computer / Not Recognizing Charger Nor Computers
Oct 27, 2010
My Ipad does not recognize my computers therefore I cannot reset all contents and settings from Itunes. It does only recognize the charger after holding down the home and sleep buttons but on the right top corner I read "not charging". When I put it to sleep it charges and have 100% charge in the morning.
I've tried several times the procedure of holding down simultaneously the home and sleep buttons while connecting to the computers but zip, nada! Neither Itunes or the computers recognize Ipad. No probs what so ever with Iphone.
My question: do I dear reseting all contents and settings from the Ipad menu and expect it to connect to the computer? I'm far away from home in a country where Ipad has not yet been introduced so I'm a bit aprehensive about the procedure. But because Ipad charges when restarted I'm beginning to think it's a software issue and it MIGHT connect to Itunes after reseting everything from the Ipad's reset menu.
This issue began after updating a couple, three apps the same day I discovered the problem so it makes me wonder.
I have a problem with my iPad 1: The battery status was low at 5% when I was surfing the net so I shut it down. Came to it the next day to charge it up and the Pad is not reacting at all. No battery charging sign, no "plip" when I connect it via the charger or USB on the computer. I have checked all the obvious stuff such as cleanliness of all the connectors, function of the the wall charger etc. I changed the USB/power cable and nothing has worked. I have also tried to reset it by simultaneously pressing the start and home buttons. The pad still isn't switching on. Before this fault the battery was excellent: held its charge really well.
I had low wireless signal on my patio. I have a Timecapsule as my base station. I purchased an Airport Express today to extend the range of my network. It's all set up and working for my MB Pro. However, on my patio the signal is still nil on the iPad. If I move the iPad next to the AirPort Express the signal strength does not change. I tried restarting the iPad and this did not help. All my firmware/software is up to date. Any suggestions?
I cannot charge my new ipad either via the 10W charger or the Powerbooks multiple USB port, I do not get a charging signal, I have tried the help on the apple pages, I have rebooted (hard reboot) bot the ipad and the computer, I don't think thats the problem though, since it doesn't even charge using the charger.
I have solved my problem by getting another cable, that seems to have done the trick "Probably a faulty wiring with the sync cable itself. I would just buy a new sync cable, they are all universal to the "iDevices" and this should fix the problem."
I recently lost my iPad charger but I have my iPhone charger so is it possible to charge my iPad with my iPhone charger? Will it create any problem? Can you also tell me where to get some cheap chargers for iPad? Is it available anywhere online?
A week ago my Ipad2 hasn't been syncing with itunes. My Ipad doesn't appear under devices and I don't know why. I usually charge my ipad on my macbook, but it won't charge either. I tried charging it on a wall charger and it worked for a while I just had to reset it every time I had to charge it, but now it won't even charge on a wall charger anymore. I tried resetting it a million times and I restored it to its factory settings and everything, but it won't work. It's not the cable because I tried a bunch of different cables and its not the USB ports because they've been working just fine for everything else I've used them for. It's really getting annoying. I don't understand what the problem is. I just want my Ipad2 to sync to itunes and charge!
I'm not talking about the "Not Charging" prompt. Whether I try charging with the wall charger or from my computer, it either does not charge at all, or will sometimes only stay at 55%. Since the problem has started I have gotten it to charge completely maybe once or twice. I've also tried restoring, only to get the same problem.
I have purchased iPad 2 from delhi but i am a civilian of Jharkhand. The iPad was working fine but unfortunately, my charger was damaged and now I am unable to charge it.I tried to search the official iPad 2 charger in my city but it is not available in my city.so What should I do? Which charger other than Apple's official charger would be able to charge my iPad..
If you remember the original iPhone came with a mini brick, same style as iPad charger. Will this charger charge the iPad. Also, as long as the iPad says it charging, it is charging, but how do you know if it is go at a full charge speed.
I have an iPad, and connect to the internet through my verizon router. I would like to connect through my iMac's WiFi.I'm not sure how to set this up. I'm not a computer pro by any stretch of the imagination,so if you could keep it really simple,
I can't figure out how to get OS 4.2 into my iPad.The directions say to connect the ipad to your computer and follow the prompts in iTunes. I connect everything up, go into iTunes with my iPad and all I get are the terms and conditions link. I don't see a friendly "download here" link.
I have and Ipad 1, and I got an issue, When I connect the ipad to the pc (windows 7) it doesn't connect, not even on DFU mode.I tried another Ipad, and it works perfectly, and my Iphone too....But when I connect this ipad to another computer, nothing happens too, so the problem is with the Ipad, and it's stuck to the connect to itunes screen. So, I wonder, is there a way to force a connection to the ipad so I can restore it?
My Ipad can not be recongised in my computer after the itunes being upgrad. I uninstall the new itunes and reinstall many times. But it still does not work. Ipad always be read as a camera. And the itunes can not find the Ipad.
Does anyone know if it's okay to use the extension cord that comes with MacBook pros on the iPad? If you're not familiar with what im talking about, if you look at the charger the plug pulls out. You can replace that with a longer cord. On the MBP it came with an extension. I'd like to use that with the iPad if it's not a problem.
Information: Macbook Pro (Core Duo) Mac OS X (10.4.10)
I have an iPhone 3g and just purchased an iPad, when travelling. I would prefer to carry only one charger to charge both units. My question is it better to charge the iPhone from the iPad charger, or, charge the iPad from the iPhone charger with out doing damage to either unit?
I just hooked up my ipad to my PC yesterday and it synced all my music...but when it is syncing photos...it takes ages and when it finally finishes it says..." Kimberleys Ipad cannot be siynced.....an error occurred while reading from the device". ???
Plus...when I hook the charger into the USB port...it says "Not Charging" in the top right hand corner of the screen....Has anyone had the same problem? My operating system is up to date...so Im a little stuck...
I'm not a Mac genius. I'd like to defer to your opinions and suggestions. I'm looking to access my home computer from work with my iPad. Ideally, I'd like to be able to send documents that are located on my PC's hard drive to my iPad. I know I can do this PC to PC but what's the best way through the iPad?I've found an app that offers the service called VNC but I'm sure there are other ways. Can anyone suggest one over the another?
I have purchased new iPad 3 and was excited to use it.It worked fine but when i tried to connect my iPad to computer, it won't recognize it and thus I am unable to connect it to computer.I have tried it to many computers but the same problem persists. Please help me to fix this problem.
