Wifi Symbol Won't Show - Connect It Through 3g ?
I have a 32 Gb 3G+wifi and for some reason my wifi symbol will not show up. I can still connect to it though and my 3G I made sure was turned off so it still works but the symbol won't show up. Right now in the top left it says "iPad" with no symbol next to it.

I recently found a network at work called Free Public WiFi. When i connect to it I get the WiFi symbol at the top left that shows a wifi connection. However, when i open Safari and try to open a website it says Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet.

Unable To Show 3G Symbol/Account After Cancell?
I ran through 250MB in like 3 days and even though my account said "No Domestic Plan" I still had the option to cancel the plan or add more data. I decided to cancel the plan, because if I didn't I would be charged another $15 after 30 Days right? So since I cancelled, when I go back to View My Account, all my information is cleared out and I no longer have the 3G symbol. When you first get the iPad 3G, whether you activate a plan or not, it's still supposed to have the 3G symbol at the top. So why is mine gone after I cancelled the plan? And now the only way I can add more data is if I'm connected to WiFi. So was I not supposed to cancel my plan?

AirPort Symbol Disappears After Loosing Wifi Connection?
...Whenever you lose your wi fi connection? Mine did before, then I went to the Apple store, connected to the store's wi fi service and the problem went away. Huh? If you notice the same problem (disappearing AirPort symbol whenever wi fi connection drops) post it here, and maybe visit the Apple store. Also, I wonder if the folks who do not have problems activated or went to an Apple store first? I did not, then the problem went away after I did.

Won't Connect To Wifi / Can't Find Settings To Connect With Wifi
Here's my issue, I just bought an ipad, and I got the wifi only model because I don't really need a 3G ipad and an iphone 4. I work in a public high school that does have wifi, but no one will tell me how to get on it. They act like it some huge secret, but with all the blocks and restriction on our networks its not like I can access things that are inappropriate if I was using the wifi. Anyway, my question is this... is there anything I can buy that can turn the current wired connection into a wifi hotspot for my classroom. Is there a product that can plug into an ethernet outlet and turn the internet connection that is already there into wireless. I brought my airport express from home with me once, but it did not work. Any advice would be nice. I love my ipad, and will love it even if I cannot get online at school, but I am not going to give up.

Does WiFi Show Location Incorrectly?
It is very likely something in your wireless router. Unless you are using a 3g iPad with the 3g cell towers triangulating your position, your iPad uses something that is broadcast from wireless routers around you...and you do not need to be connected to that router for this to take place. The iPad appears to read the strongest wifi signal and sets your location based upon what location that particular router you are detecting is reporting.I bought two wifi iPads, one for myself and one for my Mom. I set both up at my house. I have the widely popular Linksys wrt54g2 router. Both iPads hit my location very quickly and are quite accurate. I then took my Mom's iPad to her house with a Tenda router and the map starts showing my location as South Korea! If I walked down the street one way about 100 yards, it would lose her router's signal and pick up one down the street, jumping the location back to my vicinity.

Connecting To WiFI - Show Full Bars
I am posting this on my PC. I have a Ipad and Iphone. Hotel has wifi and I show full bars on wifi. When I start sarfi, it says connecting, but nothing happens. Turned off wifi and turned back on again. Why can I connect thru PC lap top and not my i pad? This has NEVER happened on my ipad.

Froze When Watching A TV Show On Netflix Over WiFi?
I got my 32GB 3G iPad on Friday. Used all day Saturday with no problems. Yesterday, I was watching a TV show on Netflix over WiFi and it froze. It had a line of blue pixels down the side that blinked slowly, but would not unlock. So, I reset the iPad and everything was fine. About 2-3 hours later, I was watching TV on Netflix again and this time the whole screen went blue and locked. Reset the iPad again and it's been fucntioning fine since. Anyone else have this problem? I'll likely take it back for an exchange, but I'm just curious if it's happened to anyone else.

Hotspot Does Not Show Up In The List Of WiFi Networks Available
Purchased a new iPad 3 (Verizon). The data plan are enabled, and the Hot Spot is set. The iPad can connect to the internet, and my Macbook Pro likewise can connect to the internet. PROBLEM: the Hotspot does not show up in the list of WiFi networks available.If I connect the iPad to the computer with the USB cable, I can access the internet through the cell network, but want to use WiFi. Unable To Connect Wifi And Blutooth / Wifi Greyed Out In Settings
I have a 10 day old iPad. I restored the iPad after experiencing problems after an interrupted download. After the restore I had no Wifi (Wifi greyed out in Settings). No fix possible, the iPad has to be replaced. As I am in Canada and there is no Apple store where I am this means Apple shipping me a box, me shipping the box to them and them shipping a new iPad to me. Information: ipad iPhone OS 3.1.3

I've had my iPad for a couple of weeks now, and I've nothing but problems maintaining a connection to my wireless router (D-Link WBR-2310) - the router works perfectly with other Wi-Fi devices (non-Apple), but with the iPad 6 inches from the router, the connection fails. Wifi Issue: Not Able To Connect To My University Wifi System
My university uses a Cisco's system that works like this: you try to connect to the wifi's network and a window opens asking for an user name and password (that's each student has). I have always been able to connect from my laptop, iPhone, and other devices, but when I try from my iPad the screens frozen and keeps that a way, and if it does nit frozen, nothing happens at all. Anyone with a similar problem or solution?

I was sitting in the Atlanta airport today and enabled the wifi on my iPad. It recognized something called free public wifi. Touched the screen to enable that, got a check mark and the wifi icon, top left of screen, came on showing the full three bars. However, when I tried to access a web site I got a pop up indicating it could not connect. Regardless of the site, NY Times, Apple, MSNBC, the connection could not be made. My device detects the name of the wifi network ( my company name alias- TechNova) but is not picking up the network details ( linksys_ses_54600). Iplayer And No Wifi - Need To Connect Over A Wifi Connection ?
Recently got an iPad 2 but my only source of Internet in the micro sim 3G Internet in the iPad. This is great fir everything bar trying to use my catch up tv apps like BBC iplayer and 4OD. When I try and watch anything via them it tells me I need to connect over a wifi connection, is there anyway round this that doesn't involve me paying out for a broadband router and contract?? I would really like to be able to use the iplayer apps.

Is There A Square Root Symbol ?
Basically got the iPad for note taking and other things. I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me where to find the square root symbol for my math note taking.....I know of the #+= section on the keyboard but it's not there. I've even held down most buttons for a pop up of other symbols but to no avail.
