So I know it's supposed to be a battery saving "feature", but upon resuming from sleep mode (assuming it's been asleep for a minute or so), it drops the connection.
Well aside from the fact I would like it to keep the connection in sleep mode, it takes a really long time to reestablish the connection. What gives? The iPhone has the same approach, but quickly reestablishes it's connection.
Every time I leave my house with my iPad and come back home, my Wi-Fi cuts out. It can still be found but it either states that the password is incorrect or server times out. My internet only cuts out when I turn my iPad back on from lock screen. And the only way I can reconnect is if I turn everything off. Information :
Macbook Mac OS X (10.5.8).
I can connect my new iPad to my wiFi router (Actiontec) but after several minutes connection is lost. I need to re-sign in. I worked with Verizon to reset router per Apple instructions (kb/T53304) but nothing helped. Switching from WEP to WPA or WPA2 was useless.

Each time I use safari, my iPad 2, iOS 5.1 freeze.Wifi disconnect, and I have to reboot the device.
View 2 RepliesIt connects and within a very short while disconnects again then wont re connect till i take it out to place near the wi fi modem, ipad is in the same room as the mini and it stays connected...is there a setting i can adjust to keep it connected
View 6 RepliesI know that Apple recommends that you should completely drain your iPad at least once a month, but what do you do when your charging it up. What I mean is once you see The iPad at 100% Battery should you disconnect it? or if not using it keep it charged until you need it. Heard some postings on the net that you should disconnect your iPhone/iPad once it hits 100%. If you dont will this damage the battery?
View 2 RepliesMy wife & I both have an iPad and we use our home Airport Extreme based network.
Mine works fine, and recognizes two networks (one 5G, the other one normal network)
My wife's only recognizes the 5G one, and gets disconnected constantly ("server not responding")I have tried both the network reset and the iPad reset, but the problem remains on hers.
My home network used to be secure, then I had to replace my old router with a new one. The new network is not set up as secured (yet). The problem is that my iPad now won't connect using my wireless signal at home. What do I need to do in the Settings to get it to connect? I'm having the same issue with my iPhone also.
View 1 RepliesI have read a number of things about this pairing. I have tried a number of things, but they are way to involved to make this a realistic way of moving back and forth between imac and ipad. The only way I can do it, is to just delete the keyboard pairing from the imac and then pair it to the ipad. This is not an exceptable solution. I tried others who said just disconnect the bluetooth connection. It works until I try pairing the keyboard with the ipad. I get nowhere with the ipad, because the keyboard has reconnected with the imac?

I hope this is the right forum and someone can direct me clearly. I have both and Iphone and Ipad and must admit I am not a "techy" person. Recently while on holiday in Europe I used the Ipad with an Italian sim card ( which worked just fine) however when I got home I found out I was charged horrendous data roaming charges on my Iphone. I am assuming that the data downloaded to the ipad also went to the phone automatically. I have Mobileme. Is there a way that I can temporarily disconnect the syncing when I travel, which I do a lot? Am I wrong in assuming that the data from the Ipad downloads went to the Iphone automatically?
View 2 RepliesMy iPad repeatedly disconnects from the wireless network even when I am sitting 4 feet from my router. Each time, we have to retype the network password to get back on. The folks at the Apple store tell me that my iPad is fine and it is the fault of Verizon. Is anyone familiar with this issue?

I can't be the only person wondering this, but is there a way to disconnect from a Bluetooth device without forgetting it?
I have Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth headphones and I like to switch between them frequently. Evidently, in order to do that I need to forget the first device, then repair. This becomes a big pain because I need to flip the first device into discoverable mode again to find it and pair with it.
My phone and my computer allow me to stay paired to both, but only actively connected to one, it's easy enough to switch between them that way. Surely my iPad can do that as well?
why does my iPad intermitently disconnect from my home wireless network?

My iPad 64gb + 3G + wifi couldn't connect or low connection with wifi
View 2 RepliesiPad 64 3G/Wifi Looses secure wifi network credentials periodically. I retype in the 26 character key and I get back on. This is very unnerving and sometimes leaves my family stranded without a connection. Is this going to be a permanent flaw of the iPad?

Hi, not sure if I've seen this topic covered, so here goes:
I've had 4.2 OS since implementation with no problems with the wifi...until this past weekend. Then, I logged onto wifi at a motel.
Unable to get new connection following morning. Unable to access any public wifi since. I'm back home, and can't connect to my wifi unless I am literally one foot from my router, signal so low as to be ridiculous. Tried multiple trusted routers and reset multiple times at my home, friends' homes, etc. Also, have tried:
re-set all settings, including network settings; brightness up; join network on/off; factory reset, back to square one. NOTHING. Bought 1.5 weeks ago. I know it's not the routers, have used multiple brands/types with no joy.

I have a 10 day old iPad. I restored the iPad after experiencing problems after an interrupted download. After the restore I had no Wifi (Wifi greyed out in Settings). No fix possible, the iPad has to be replaced. As I am in Canada and there is no Apple store where I am this means Apple shipping me a box, me shipping the box to them and them shipping a new iPad to me.

I've had my iPad for a couple of weeks now, and I've nothing but problems maintaining a connection to my wireless router (D-Link WBR-2310) - the router works perfectly with other Wi-Fi devices (non-Apple), but with the iPad 6 inches from the router, the connection fails. It's gotten progressively worse until now it won't connect at all. I've tried a system reset, tried all of the suggestions posted here and elsewhere on the Web - it simply doesn't work. The iPad is defective, plain and simple. This HAS to be resolved. Running iOS 3.2.2 (7B500)
