IPAD recognizes my network. When I tap it I have to enter the password. Then I get the message "Unable to join the network "My_network""
My Wrieless router is a Draytek Vigor 2900, Channel 6 (2437 MHz), Mode WPA/PSK only, WPA Encryption mode TKIP with a 44 character password.
How can I configure IPAD to be able to join this network?

I have had this iPad 2 since last summer. Only recently it stopped joining networks. It is fine with my home network, but airport, hotels, etc - no dice. I have restarted. I have reset. I have restored network settings. I have closed all open apps.

This is the third time I have had this problem since I bought my ipad about 6 months ago. What happens is that every time there is a software update my ipad will refuse to connect with any Wi-Fi networks. It will usually be disconnected for about a week and I cannot remember how I fixed it last time. I have updated the software (via the computer), tried turning the iPad on and off again, restarted the modum while the iPad was turned off, done a full system restore, 'reset network settings' and checked my iPad access point. I know this is not a problem with my internet modum because every computer in our house is working; even our second iPad 2 is working fine (it has never had any problems like this).
View 3 RepliesI have a netgear wireless router model MR814V2 at home using WEP security with 128 bit encription strength. All my PCs and laptop works fine with this router, but my ipad 3 got "can't join the network" message after I entered the 26 bytes security code.

I'm *still* using an iPad 2. It works fine and thus far haven't needed to upgrade. Tonight I was streaming Netflix in my house one minute and the next minute the signal dropped. This happens from time to time with my wi-fi so I just unplugged the router and plugged it back in. This usually solves the problem. When I went to sign back into my Netflix acct, I kept getting the "Unable to Join Network" error when I tried to connect to my wi-fi. My husband's Kindle can log onto the network just fine and I am typing this message from a computer that is on that same network, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with my ISP or my home network, but rather something with the iPad. I have done a hard reset twice. I can see my network, but it just won't let me join.

View 16 RepliesHave 2 XP-Pro laptops running wireless through a Linksys WRT54G router. Trying to add my iPad 2 64 WiFi with the same WPA security the laptops are using. iPad 2 says "Unable to join the network" along with a "Dismiss" option and nothing else. How / where can I find out what the iPad 2 is unhappy about.
View 6 RepliesI have an issue with my iPad 1.When it is in sleep mode it doesnt automatically join a known wifi network.there are no problems with signal range and router itselph is Zyxel P 600 series. So the problem itselph may be on the iPad. every time i need to to manually join my network and then it connects!

I am not able to join WiFi network on iPad2 with iOS6. Why is it so?
View 1 RepliesUsing a D-Link DIR-615 modem, my notebook, android phone all are connected with no problems. When trying to connect the iPad, I get the message "Unable to join the network." Have worked on this several hours trying to research any problem on the D-Link site or Apple and am at a loss. I am no computer expert by any stretch of the imagination. The iPad does connect to the internet using my Android as a hot spot.
View 4 RepliesHave had the ipad 4 for 6 months with no problems connecting to wi fi at home. All of a sudden wi fi connection is gone and when I try to establish connection, I get this message...."unable to join the network......." Have tried resetting network, restarting ipad and looking for answers online. No luck. Wi fi is working ok with other devices.
View 5 RepliesOn IPad WIFI password is no longer recognized. I have contacted ISP and had network reset. My IPod Touch recognizes and accepts the same password that the IPAD won't recognize - after entering password states "Unable to Join the network". I have reset network settings and Reset All Settings without success.
View 1 RepliesIf no encryption is selected it will connect without any issues. I have tried using WPA-PSK2 and WEP, it is unable to connect. I have tried a Linksys router WRT54GL and a Buffalo router running OpenWRT. I have tried using DHCP and static addressing. There are no MAC restrictions. A laptop and desktop running Windows 7 can connect to either access point/router using WPA-PASK2. I have powere off all devices.
View 2 RepliesOn my iPad 2 I am suddenly unable to join a secure wifi network at my workplace that I access without any difficulty on my laptop. I have tried shutting down my iPad completely and restarting-- no success. The laptop still connects, at the same location, to the same secure network, without a problem. The iPad used to function on this network without a hitch, and from one day to another, it has gone on strike.
