I like taking notes on Microsoft OneNote. I would like to be able to review my course lecture notes on the iPad. I was wondering what's the best program to do this. I also record some of my lectures and was wondering if there is a program which will enable me to play the recordings like you can in OneNote. All of my course lectures are in PDF or power point formats and I print them to OneNote and then i take notes in the space provided. I would like to be able to view and incorporate all of this into whatever program.
PS3, 3 Notebooks Microsoft OS And Cable Modem SOLVED
Apr 16, 2010
I have like many others been puzzled and frustrated by the wifi issues with the iPad. So let me get to the point. I have tried every published method available with no real success. I went to BestBuy and purchased a Netgear wireless N router for $40. This replaced my Netgear wireless g. I have 3 laptops (windows os) and a ps3 all hook in. Long story short I have full bars and advertised speed on my iPad. I know apple might be coming out with a software update and its not fair that the iPad wasn't wifi friendly. But this solved my problem. I am down $40, but on a plus side all wireless systems in my house including my iPad have benefitted from it. Eventually N will be standard (I think..lol) so it was an investment. Ps: not to defend apple but if you don't have $40 to replace your router than you probably shouldn't have bought a iPad.
No one seems to have mentioned that while a lot of the apps look better the main app that a lot of workers/students might use on a tablet - a note app - is hardly improved at all.OneNote is quite good (sorry msoft haters) - notes on iPad lookas rubbish as iPhone which dont even sync on MobileMe - only via iTunes.Real missed opportunity here.Of course Evernote might be amazing - but you would think Apple would want their own???
I am trying to sync/transfer files from a palm to ipad. The notebook app gives instructions on preparing a .palm file but I can't get it to the ipad notebooks app. Any suggestions. Information: ipad Windows XP
The writing program I use on my MacBook is a little gem called Scrivener. I'm not here to push Scrivener, but if you are a writer, use a Mac, and want to be pampered and treated like a Pulitzer winner, then you need to check it out. The recent revamp to version 2.0.1 makes syncing to your iPad a joy.I knew I would use my iPad to read (not a good eBook reader, my tookus!), but I was concerned about writing with it because syncing Notebooks out to other programs on other platforms was daunting to me.Daunted, no more!! I was playing the with the new Scrivener and worked out the sync with Notebooks on my iPad and also on my iPod Touch.
To Replace Notebooks And Laptops For Medical Purposes
Apr 21, 2010
There has been some discussion about the advantages of the iPad for the medical field. Mostly as a replacement for netbooks and laptops in various areas. A item today is about how after experimenting with 3 iPads in one hospital, that hospital is planning to buy 100 more to use. The hospital (in California) expects that most hospitals will find the iPad as a solution for many issues.

May 9, 2012
On iOS 1.3 version OneNote. I can copy and paste text one paragraph by one paragraph. However, unable to copy more than one paragraphs at one time. According to Microsoft Office the Forum Moderator, this is a limitation in the iPhone/iPad app, I can only copy and paste one paragraph at a time.
Im looking for a way to watch recorded lectures on my iPad and my schools system (accordant) requires silverlight. Anyone know if there's some type of plugin I can get?
I used the exchange server for my work and after having logged off, I closed the window but suddenly changed my mind, re-typed the server URL and hit go. Surprisingly I was in automatically without needs of re-entering username and pw.
I am a new iPad owner. I have a Wifi/AT&T 3G, 16gb device that was purchased to be used in a pilot for our organization. The pilot includes about 15 others in IT, Administration, Workforce and Emergency Preparedness. We are a regional governmental agency. Our organization, from an IT perspective, is a heavy Microsoft user. In addition to the normal products (Office, Windows, SQL Server), we also use SharePoint and Microsoft CRM. From what I've learned in the 1st week, I suspect my searches/questions/comments will be centered around how to use the iPad in a Microsoft environment that takes full advantage of the Microsoft software.
I am having issues with Microsoft Excel worksheets. When I get it as an email on my ipad it will show up with muliple worksheets and tabs at the top of the page. If I then put this document in Documents to Go and sync, it then shows up on my ipad with only 1 worksheet when there may be multiple worksheets. Why is this? Can anyone help with this?
I have two iPads that we need to put a PPT presentation on and then we are giving them to the client to keep. I am going to start the iPads off by setting them up with our office iTunes (without syncing anything) so that you can get to the home screen. My question is, how can I go about paying for and downloading the Microsoft Office App (or whatever it called) and not have future purchases made by the client hit the credit card we used to buy the Apps? Is it as simple as buying the Apps and then removing the credit card from the account? Does there always have to be at least one credit card on the account, or if there is no card on the account, does it just prevent you from making purchases.
I have a Flip video camera and a PC. I want to create movies from videos made with the Flip. Unfortunately Microsoft MovieMaker won't take Flip MP4s. I'd also like to imbed text inside movies.
