I was wondering can the Ipad do video chat on facebook, windows live messenger and skype? Like let say can a Ipad user do video chat to someone on a smartphone or laptop who is using facebook, windows live messenger and skype? Is it possible to have skype, windows live messenger and facebook chat open or online while doing other things with the Ipad?

Skype Video Chat does not show caller's video on my ipad2. I can see everything very well on my MacBook. On the ipad2 under the area where the caller's video should be it just says initiating video.

View 2 RepliesI don't know whether any one is noticing this or not but If you are a free user then you will notice that while performing video chat, a red recording bar comes in to play which probably means Skype call is being recorded by anyone but skype claims that they are not recording anything. I got my iPad2 and would like to video chat with some out of state relatives. I've never video chatted (ipad2 is my first computer camera) and they don't have an iPad to do Facetime. Can I use the camera to do other video chat like maybe Yahoo or something common they can use? They have a web camera but don't know much either.

Now I cannot close the chat window or if I got messages from other contact, i won't be able to see it. View 2 RepliesSo I loaded up facebook.com the first couple nights w/ my iPad, and everything was perfect. I was wondering whether or not the chat functionality of the site would load properly, and happily for me it did. I was able to chat on facebook.com the same way I do on my Firefox browser on the desktop PC.
But, the last couple of days I've tried it, the chat functionality does not show up on the screen at all. Where did it go? Why would it work the first few days, but then not at all after that? And I'm not using the app (yet) because 1) There is no proper iPad facebook app yet, and 2) if I do it through the browser, I can still browse around the web in another window and switch back and forth. I'm just trying to figure out why it was there in the beginning, but gone now.
I have an IPAD but when I login to Facebook - There's no Facebook chat.. =( Can anyone help me what to do so I can use the CHAT? or it does not really have a FB chat?
