Different E-book Formats - Download Books
Nov 30, 2010Our family has had iPhones around for a few years, but I've just bought a couple of iPads for my wife and daughter for Christmas. My wife, I'm sure, will be heavily utilizing the e-book-ness of the device.We're all very new to the iPad. I realize I can go to the iBooks Store and download books from there. I can also install the Amazon Kindle app and download books from the Kindle Store. I know I can sync the iPad on my computer and then sync books to iPad-2 which were purchased on iPad-1. But, what about the Kindle app books. Is there any way to get those from one iPad to the other without repurchase?

May 13, 2010Sorry if I missed a current topic on this- couldn't find one when I searched recently wanted to show a work video as part of a presentation on my iPad. My office was shut the night I needed to prepare so couldn't get the source file, so I went to our company website and grabbed it off the site following some instructions I found on here (loading the movie then using Activity Viewer to identify the file and saving it onto my MacBook Pro desktop). It was an flv file, and I saved it as a QuickTime movie. Played fine on the macbook pro.I then went to sync it to my iPad via iTunes but it wouldn't sync, saying the movie type wasn't supported. Is this because it was originally a flash file and therefore needs converting in some other way? Or is it a different rookie mistake I'm making??!

Aug 13, 2010I am trying to sync various videos I made on my MAC to my iPAD and some say they are not supported on the ipad. "info" says the accepted ones are mpeg which is fine but the rejected ones are QT files made on iMOVIE. It seems that the ip should accept and play quick time file made with Apple software. What gives? Do I have to change the format on the MAC, and if so, how?

Sep 5, 2010I can't seem to upload my movies and songs into iPad. I tried converting my movie into .mov and .mp4. They can both be imported into my iTunes library but when I drag it to the iPad tab it says it cannot be copied because it cannot be played on the iPad. And some of my albums just can't be imported.
May I know the preferred format for my movies and my songs?

Is this possible. If both are displayed on the iPad how can you distinguish between the two on the iPad, ie...does it state it is jpeg or raw?

Jun 22, 2012me and my wife both have iphones and have recenly bought a ipad and apple tv. I am getting a bit frustrated as i cant work out the best way to store and easily view my old pics and video files.the shops salesman convinced me to by knowhow cloud which seemed brilliant but it wont back up al photos so ill go back to the shops. its just app on the phone that shows all pics stored on my windows pc.i also want to know what way is best to store and view some .mod files or moi files. I have air video which works great for divx files but not the ones i want ex my video camera main reason for the ipad is to create a central hub for viewing pics and videos on and streaming to tv in background when we have parties or just remenicising.
