I have a Mobile Me account and have my iPhone, iMac and work PC registered but am unable to register my iPad, how do I go about doing this. I have my me.com e-mail address as the default address on my iPad.

Unable To Register Ipad With Mobile Me Website

Just set up mobile me for the sole purpose of tracking my Ipad if lost, it is within the free trial period. I have registered an account and confirmed this by logging in and recieving the email. I have followed the instructions to connect my Ipad which is to add the account and allowed find my Ipad. However when i go to the Mobile Me website to find the Ipad i login, switch the app to the find my Ipod. No luck as it says i need to register the device which i have.

Don't think I like Apples new Express Lane and the "My Support Profile" as doesn't show my iPad, or my wifes or either of my AppleTVs yet when I go to register says its already registered to another customer yet under "Recent Cases" it shows my iPad and serial number and called in they were able to verify its registered to this Apple ID they have no clue why not showing up under My Products and then even funnier is on the left hand side it says:"We're sorry, you are signed in with an Apple employee or contractor account that cannot be edited with My Support Profile."so wont let me edit phone numbers wont let me check VoicePass or SMS... And they have no clue whats going on there either.....

Unable To Register Account

I was trying to register my wife's iPad, using her iTunes account. It said that the ID didn't match the password no matter what I did, including resetting the password several times.What is odd, is that we were able to download apps directly to the iPad by typing in the new password on the iPad. In other words, iTunes seems to recognize the iPad, the account and the password, but it keeps asking us to register the iPad each time we try and sync. So,it seems to be partially registered.

Unable To Sign Up For Mobile

I have downloaded new OS 4.2 for the iPad and would like to create a mobileme account so I can add the "find my iPad app". However, I can not create an Apple id. When I access the web page for instructions, I see if I have an iTunes account, my user id for mobileme would be the same. But when I attempt to set up a mobileme account I am instructed the Apple id must be my email address. So, when I put in my email address, mobileme tells me the user name or password I have entered is incorrect. I have tried setting up the mobileme, Apple id account on both my computer and my iPad but can not get past the above problem.

I have no problem accessing the iTunes store and all my info in my profile is correct...just can't obtain an Apple id that mobileme wants.

Any suggestions?

Unable To Sync Addresses With Mobile Me

iPad will not sync with Mobile Me contacts.
Have done the following at the direction of a senior mobile me advisor after the normal advisors available at https://supportchat.apple.com/ were unable to help.

We have:
1.Logged on to MM and confirmed that the iPad was properly registered since I could locate the iPad on the map.
2.Confirmed that MM was operating properly with my other computers, iPhone and iTouch.
3.Completely erased and replaced all info on MM.
4.The senior MM tech confirmed that MM was operating correctly with her iTouch.
5.Erased and restored the iPad
6.Updated the iPad to the latest OS.
7. Turned off Entourage / MM address & cal sync.

As of 1:11 PM CDT Friday, July 16, 2010 MM still refuses to load any addresses onto the iPad.

I have now synced my addresses via iTunes so I can get on with life but still need to know how to use it with my MM account.

Anyone have any suggestions?



Details for the above steps:

Nothing on MM was unique and all the important data was on my MacBookPro.
So to clear any problems I followed these steps:

UNREGISTER ALL COMPUTERS AND DELETE MOBILEME DATA:
1. Open MobileMe System Preferences.
2. Click the Accounts tab and ensure you are logged in
3. Click the Sync tab and select the Advanced button
4. Select one computer at a time in this list and click on it to highlight.
Choose "stop syncing computer" and then choose to "unregister".
Unregister all computers and within 2 minutes of the last device being unregistered, you will get a prompt asking if you would like to delete any MobileMe data.
Choose to delete Contacts and Calendars.
All data for Contacts and Calendars will then be deleted on Me.com. You will now need to "Reset Sync Services".

RESET SYNC SERVICES
1. Hold down the option key on your keyboard and click the Sync icon in the top menu bar next to the time. The Sync icon is the arrow going in a circle. Select this area and choose to "Reset Sync Services".
RESETTING SYNG DATA
1. Open MobileMe System Preferences again
2. Click the Sync tab
3. Check mark the box to "Synchronize with MobileMe"
4. Select Contacts and Calendars
5. Click the Advanced button
6. Choose Reset Sync Data
7. At the next window select the arrow going to the right, and at the top it should state "replace data on MobileMe with Sync information from this computer". We want the arrows going from the computer to the cloud.
8. Click Replace.
You will need to wait up to 15 minutes to ensure that all data is Syncing properly. Test Syncing to see if there are any remaining issues.

It still would not sync ANY addresses onto the iPad.

Then at the senior tech's request I changed the password and gave them access to my MM. They confirmed that MM was operating properly.

She asked me to please follow these steps on the iPad:
1. Select the Settings area
2. Go to Mail, Contacts and Calendars
3. Select Fetch New Data
4. Ensure that "Push" is enabled
5. Set the fetch settings to "ever 15 minutes"

After the above steps have been completed, please turn off the iPad for 3-5 minutes and then power it back on. Once it has been powered back on, please try connecting to Wi Fi first and see if the data shows on the iPad within 15 minutes. It can technically take up to 15 minutes for data to Sync to any device however, this usually occurs much faster in the time listed above.

I did the above without success.

I then held down the power & home button until I got the silver apple etc and then did a restore (and update to the newest operating sys download) and then reloaded all my info via a full sync.

Again no joy.

Unable To Remove Old Devices From Mobile Me

I am having hard time ti find the way to remove 2 old iPhones from the list of my devices in Find my iPhone application for iPad. I tried to do it from my Mac in Mobile Me account but I do not see any options that will let me do it. I am sure it is there but I can not find it.

Unable To Sync With Exchange & Mobile Me At The Same Time

I am trying to decide how to run my various e-mail accounts on my iPad.

Currently I have the following:

1. Personal e-mail (hosted MS Exchange with MailStreet)
2. Work e-mail (MS Exchange)
3. Hotmail
4. Road Runner e-mail

I am using e-mail, calendar and contacts on my personal hosted exchange account.
My office has an exchange server, but I only use the e-mail. No calendar or contacts there.
The other accounts are just e-mail.

My problem is that the iPad will only sync with one Exchange account at a time. This means I have to choose between my personal or work account.

If I moved my personal mail, calendar and contacts to a MobileMe account.... could my iPad sync with that and my office Exchange account?

Unable To Sign In Mobile Me - Safari Not Allowing

I'm stuck in a Mobile Me loop from hell trying to access using Safari. I get an apple.com iPad set up screen. Even though I've completed the set up (the calendar events have pushed to my iPad) it won't let me actually sign into Mobile Me.

I can sign into Mobile Me using Atomic Browser, but as of the morning it doesn't recognize anything I try to do via the touchscreen! Anyone else having these issues, or have any suggestions?

Unable To Turn Off / Sensed As A Mobile Device By Websites

When surfing on the iPad, many sites automatically see it as a mobile device. So I end up at drastically limited versions of those sites even though the iPad could deal with the main site just as well. It would be nice if site developers would allow mobile surfers to go to the main site if they so choose, but that isn't likely to be done consistently. So Apple should PLEASE come out with an update that allows the iPad to be seen as a non-mobile type device via a setting in Safari or something.

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions about how I can surf without getting short sheeted by auto sensing sites.
