I am using the ipad (wifi) with our exchange server. When I am offline, and try and delete an email, it pops back into the inbox with a message "cannot delete mail". Why?? Is my ipad misconfigured, or is this a problem with the ipad?
I travel frequently (in areas without wifi or 3g, like planes). If I can't use my email offline, seems like a huge problem with the ipad. I will need to carry around a laptop to do offline mail.
I've deleted two apps on my iPad -- Fantapper and Mars Globe. Both of them keep coming back. Every time I go to download updates via iTunes, Fantapper always starts downloading. I delete it from there, it comes back. I've deleted it from the Apps area of iTunes too (and also removed it from the iPad). I even went so far as to find the actual Fantapper file on the filesystem and delete it and it STILL KEEPS COMING BACK.
So I recently purchased a new iPad, however a strange noise just started coming from the back of the iPad whenever I put gentle to moderate pressure on it. The noise that comes from it sounds like something is un-sticking itself. Everything else functions fine, it's just this annoying noise.
my password keeps coming back incorrect, I have reset it 3 times now and it will not accept it on my iTunes to update on my phone or pad. It obviously is the right password since I was able to log in here...
Ok, when I first got the iPad and sync'd, I had all my bookmarks and bookmark folders. Some how the folders are gone only the single bookmarks are there. I have sync'd since a few times and the bookmark folders are not coming back. Any suggestions?

Does my email password have to be the same as my iTunes pass code? I have not been getting any incoming emails on iPad 2 and for whatever reason, my Apple Id had to be changed. I didn't prompt it, but iTunes kept coming back with incorrect password.
I bought a movie about three years ago from iTunes and since then we have had all of our I devices restored we have bought several new ones and such.† When we were getting movies to watch on our trip I remembered that I had once purchased this movie so I went to go redownload it.† Thinking it would give me a free redownload but it has no history of me ever buying it.† How do I get it back?
While I was checking e-mail on my iPad 2, I got stuck with two of them. I canít delete those mails and an error message "Unable to move message to Trash folder" is popping up whenever I try to delete it. Is there any way to delete the same?
I just sent this feedback to apple.Does this strike anyone as a bit loony?snip! As with the iPhone.. there is no way to delete an e-mail from the search results. eg. go to your inbox.. search your inbox for a sender or subject or something.. In the results screen there's no "Edit" button to do batch deletes.. there's no way to swipe delete and when you actually click on the mail to read it the trash icon is greyed out. Why is this? It makes absolutely no sense at all.
When you click a link in an email in Mail, Safari opens at the relevant page. When you have finished with the browser page, is it possible to go back to Mail with one click or action? I have an ipad 2 with ios 5
Whenever I get an email with a numbers document in it and I open it and view it in the mail message it only allows you to go through the various sheets to view what is included in the document. However, you cannot get back to your other messages, or any other mail options. If you close mail and re open it it'll take you into that message automatically. The only way I've found to get mail to work again is to restart the iPad. This is an extremely annoying problem. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, any suggestions on fixing it?
this is my first time using apple product, so i am not that familiar with it yet. So, now i have a problem with Mail. I open a pdf document attached in my mail using Mail, and how could i stop viewing this pdf? i am stucked there. Every time i start the Mail, it straight away jumps into this pdf. i can't use the Mail anymore
When i press little bit hard on the centre or left side of the ipad screen, strange knock knock sound comes out of it. Probably digitizer touches lcd screen itself. Touchscreen and everything seems working properly, no abnormality in function. This problem i've observed right after that i misspressed it with my arm when i was trying to sit in my car. (ipad was in the car, i didnt notice.)
Now my questions are: is it really serious problem? Do i need to get lcd screen and digitipzer changed? I dont live in u.s so it is a problem for me to get it fixed. Can i fix it myself? Is it easy to dismount the screen and analyze for problems?
I am new to using mac in general. I just made my account, and accidentally imported all my photos from my computer (pc). I plug in my ipad, and I can not delete the photos I've already imported. Unlike my ipod, in which I can choose which ones I want and then import. How do I do this? I'm sorry but I need it broken down crayola style... I'm a new user.
My options to delete apps are gone. How can I get them back?† No x appears when I hold an app button and no way to delete in settings.† Both were there yesterday?† Have tried powering off and still missing.
I rented a movie on my MBP via iTunes and synced it to my iPad. It ended up expiring and now I see that it is on my iPad, but there is no option to delete it. From iTunes, there is no option to sync or delete rented movies any more (the whole rental section of the Movie tab is GONE when I sync my iPad.
I un-synced all my movies, but that deleted other movies i had synced, not the rental! What is going on here? I have nearly 2 GB eaten up with a movie I can't watch or remove!

I created a response to an email message earlier today. When I sent it, it was refused. I know the email address is good because I email this person frequently.† The message on the screen said it placed the message in my Outbox. Attempts to send the message from the Outbox gave the same results. I then decided that I would copy it, and start a new message. When I did the Select All and then touched Copy I could not do anything except put the keyboard away everything was grayed out. I went back to the Home page, and restarted Mail. It came up OK so I made a second attempt at copying and pasteing. This time I am froze in my Outbox with the message showing. Again everything appears grayed out. How can I get Mail back operating?
I have the iPad since a week now and I am currently the first time completely stranded.
I have installed numbers, opened a e-mail with an Windows excel spreadsheet attachment and then selected -> Open attachment with Numbers. Very cool, I can work the table. I left the table open by clicking the "button" to look up some information in an other app.
Very uncool: When I do open Mail now, it only shows the table (and nothing else), but in a read only mode (I cannot edit cells) and there absolutely no way to go back to the inbox or the other mail folders. I can only hit the button and exit, but when I hit Mail again, it will only show the table. No way back?!
Any idea how to get out of the table and back to the mail folders here? Any hints a greatly appreciated.
When using mail while VPN'ed into my companies network and connected to my exchange server, mail continuously crashes and exits back to the home screen. It seems to be related to syncing large amounts of emails with the exchange server. Once it happens the problem becomes widespread chronically affecting all running apps ( kicking you back to the home screen) it only subsides when you turn VPN off. Knowing apple, they'll fix it in a year or two. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
When replying to an email message if I scroll down to read a previous message in the thread the screen keeps scrolling back to the top of my reply.† I don't recall setting it up to do this.† Is there some way to stop it?
After a week of problem-free use today Mail app starting crashing after I opened a PDF attachment (which crashed). Now if I am in my Outlook account or my MobileMe mail account Mail app quits to home screen after max 30 sec. Tried rebooting iPad, deleting and re-inserting mail account details in Settings, changing max number of emails shown from 200 to 100 == Nothing Works.

I have now installed the mBox Mail App - as a Hotmail user - without any problems - so far! Mail icons on the Home Page have been exchanged but would like to Disable or Remove the iPad OE Mail App to avoid duplication of rec'd mail.
Is this possible? If so what do I need to do. I have been reluctant to 'mess about' with Mail Settings for fear of losing both!
This has happened to me a couple of times and I'm looking for simpler solutions to a re-boot.I open an attachment in mail (both times a PDF) and then close the iPad or go to another app. When I come back to mail it the document is what is displayed and none of the controls for the doc work including being able to hit the done button and go back to mail. The two times this has happened I've re-booted the iPad and it comes back just fine. Is this an apps bug? Is there a simpler solution than the re-boot.
I have the same problem on iPad and iPhone. When i open mail and connect to POP account, it crashes. I can see mail for a few seconds - there are emails in there from one month ago. Even after i've cleared all emails via webmail, reset my devices, deleted and re added the accounts. Both devices seem to have remembered the old emails - any idea how I can solve this?!
