Cannot activate my ipad as I keep recieveing a message saying that the activation server cannot be reached - is there a solution or is there a problem with Apple servers. This is very frustrating as I bought the ipad today as I need a mobile device for a job tomorrow and I dont have a laptop this weekend.

I am not currently an ATT subscriber.I went to an ATT store today to get help. They told me that these micro sim cards are under heavy security and cannot be sold, unless an 'error code' is coming up on the iPad. They said that this is for security measures, as not to activate a stolen iPad.The previous seller left his sim inside the iPad.

View 14 Repliesi changed my logic board 3g+wifi 64 gb, and all goes well in the begining, when i swicth on itunes logo appere in the screen, after i connect to itunes and it puts in restore mode(correct), and download de 3,2,2 firmware from apple, but after this when finnish (activation) put this "there is a problem with your ipad. we�re sorry the iPad you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service we recommend you visit your neares apple store for more information." ok i try to make a downgrade to 3,2,1 but is impossible first the 3194 error in itunes 10 and the 3014 in itunes 9.2, please can anybody helpme or perhaps i have a expensive stone.

I have been unable to activate and use FaceTime or iMessage since I purchased my ipad. I have created a apple ID and attempted to sign in however I'm told to check my network connections and try again. I am connected to my WI-FI with good signal strength and have no problems using the Internet, apps store or apps.

I've seen a lot of people (and a lot of apps seem to have this as the default setting) pressing the home button twice to activate backgrounder or whatever the app may be. For me, if I press it twice, it just takes me to the "home" page of springboard. I looked in settings and don't see a way to disable what the double tap does...just selections for "home screen", iPod controls and search.
View 2 RepliesSo today is the 1st time I have actually bought data so that I can use 02's 3G service. However I have never did this before and next to the 02-UK sign at the top left i get a small circle next to it when connected (I am assuming this is EDGE?) I cannot get 3G to show there at all unless I have the ipad jailbroke and use sbsettings to toggle 3G.
Am I doing something wrong? I cant seem to find any option in settings to activate 3G. soon as I turn on cellular I just get the really slow EDGE connection.
I have a 3G enabled IPAD2; have taken a connection from Reliance Communication (Delhi). For the past 4-5 days, I have been unable to connect to the Internet using 3G (am able to connect via Wi-Fi). Getting messages: Could not activate data network" and "Safari could not open the page because it is not connected to the Internet".
The signal is coming in full strength and 5 bars are showing along with the "Reliance" logo on top-left corner. Have been trying through Reliance comm's helpdesk, but they are clueless. Has anyone faced a similar problem and can suggest a solution?
