Got my iPad 3 and most everything went smoothly. I used the option of restoring from my iCloud backup from my iPad 2. I have a bunch of pictures and videos but only a few of them had made it onto the new iPad before I went to sleep. I figured with the iPad locked, plugged in, and on wifi overnight the rest would restore. When I woke up nothing had happened except the battery was charged. When I go to settings-iCloud, there is a button to Stop Restoring iPad. I want the restoration to complete, not stop.

So with the new JB coming soon I am finally updating to 5.1.1 and want to do so as in a restore. I have a question though, I don't want to use restore from backup and want to use a clean slate, could I still use iCloud this way and it would restore everything? I'm talking about my pics, and bookmarks would those all get restored through iCloud after updating even though I don't use the "restore from backup" feature in iTunes?
General :: IPad Disabled Even After ICloud Restore

My daughter forgot the pin on her iPad, so she locked herself out completely. She got the 'iPad is disabled" error, with no way to unlock it. OK, no problem, this isn't the first time this has happened.
I plug it into iTunes, wipe the thing, unplug it, then go into Settings to "Erase all Content and Settings" on the iPad so I can restore the device's iCloud backup. Well.. the problem is, the iPad must have backed up while it was disabled, because when I restore the iPad's iCloud backup, the iPad is disabled again.
I have 3 gb of "other" data that I want to get rid of. Does it matter if I restore from backup from the computer or iCloud? I was really hoping to restore from backup on the computer since I have a ton of comic's synced to my comic book app that I would have to add back to the iPad individually.
Is there a benefit to restoring from the full backup on the computer and the iCloud?

I bought the iPad Air and I also have iPad 2. When I turned the iPad Air on it said to restore to iCloud and all my information would be transferred. I still want to use my iPad 2 for myself from the same computer. Do I have to set up as a new users and do I plug the ipad air into the computer to let it restore.

I am trying to setup my new iPad using the "restore from iCloud backup " function. My old iPad is updated to the latest available iOS yet the new iPad is not allowing me to choose the latest backup (just done this morning) as is says iOS 8.1.1 is required. I have powered both devices off and back on to no avail.

Setting up my air... Give it my Apple ID and pw to restore from iCloud. I pick my latest backup. Then, next screen asks for a pw to a different Apple ID I've never seen before in order to make purchases in the apple store. Looks like someone else's id.

I have a school issued Ipad I have to return as long as my own personal IPod touch. Both are backed up to ICloud on the same account, but both also have different data. I'm wondering if I restore my IPod touch from the last backup, if it would combine data from both. I have stuff on my Ipad like photos and App data which are important. If there's another way to transfer all this...

After an iCloud restore, Infinity Blade stopped downloading. I tried rebooting my iPad, I tried restarting my iPad, I tried deleting it and downloading it again, and restarted the download, it kept saying this:

My iPad is locked and the access codes I try don't work. I cannot restore from iCloud because it gives an error that I need to go to the settings on my iPad and turn off FindMyiPad. I can't since my passcode doesn't work!

I have an iPad mini and I was having trouble with the facebook settings similar to this:
Keep getting asked to put in Facebook password, can't delete the account in the settings.
I couldn't fix it so I decided to reset my device, now the problem is fixed. My problem is when I tried to restore from the iCloud backup, the problem came back. Is there anyway I can restore the apps from the iCloud backup but not including the system settings?
During the setup process of a brand new replacement iPad 2, I enter my Apple ID credentials and get to the restore from iCloud screen only to find it is not showing me the backups I really have - all it's showing me are backups of my old iPhone 4, up to Dec last year.
The new iPad does not "see" the newer backups of the previous iPad 2 I had, nor my current iPhone 4S.

I want to restore backup from icloud to my ipad after i restore it, but i cannot enter the correct backup password for my ipad(high chance that i forgot it). what should i do? i need my photos back
I still have teh orginal iPad, anxiously awaiting the next one. As such mine has gotten slow and it crashes a lot! Especially since upgrading to 5.x.
My question is, with the iCloud and all now, what's the best way to backup and restore? Should I restore to 5.01 and simply reload the apps I want or do a restore from iCloud backup?
if back up my data to iCloud, then I deleted a game by mistake. would I be able to restore only the game with its data from iCloud back up ? I know that I could restore the whole system with iCloud, but I want to know if I could restore only one app.
I pad froze had to factory restore no option to restorefrm iCloud. Still cant reset with iCloud restore. Apple instructions ate crap. How do I get my stuff from iCloud. Apps are not restoring it, had to go to purchased items to get my apps back. Heard good things about iCloud but this makes me bitter that it's not working.
Everytime, I restore my notes on my iPad iCloud syncs up and deletes it all over again. I've tried putting the iPad in Airplane mode but when it restores it turns it back off automatically.
