I have some photos in USB jump drive which I want to transfer into my iPad 2. How can I do that? Do I need to buy any accessory for that?

When I first saw the iPad I thought instantly that it would be perfect for EMR (electronic medical records). It's light weight and portable from room to room. I can limit the amount of paper I need to keep and file for my patients. However I was wondering if it allows for the use of a jump drive to save files via the camera/usb adapter. Secondly, can I hook up my HP printer to that same adapter and print that way?

Anyone out there know if you can transfer photos and videos FROM an iPad 2 TO a flash drive?

I've read some of the posts about people having issues viewing photos on the iPad in the same sort order that they have on Aperture and other Mac apps.
I'm considering purchasing the iPad for a kid as a laptop replacement. In other words, he would not be syncing to his photos on a laptop. The iPad would be his 'native' hardware. Is this possible?
Specifically:
1) Can he move his photos directly from his digital camera onto the iPad, then sort and do basic edits there? (Storage limitations understood)
2) Can he attach an external hard drive to his iPad, to store extra photos there?

I couldn't tell according to my Google searches.Furthermore, besides using email/the internet or a Bluetooth flash drive to move data via an iPad, what are other alternatives for simple file transfers?
View 1 RepliesHaving music and photos and video that's all fine but I also use my iPad for business. I would like to take the files from my itouch and send them to my iPad. iTunes just don't get it. If there was a way for my computer to recognize the itouch and iPad as a hard drive I think I could transfer the files.

My hard drive crashed and it took my library with it. When I try to sync my iPad2 I get the message that I need to transfer purchases from the iPad to the PC. I do that, but it gets stuck on step 4, the wheel keeps spinning but goes no further.
