I use my desktop pc at home and laptop when travelling. I want to be able to download videos/ files from my desktop at home and then, when im on the road, I want to add more videos from my laptop to my ipad. After syncing to my desktop.....When i connect my ipad to laptop...it says erase n sync to new pc ?* I do not want to erase anything, just add files. Is this possible ?

I know we really know no specifics as to how files will be synched with iWorks on the iPad, but I'm just wondering how do you THINK it might work. Will it mainly be having the iPad connect as a remote server to your Mac or PC and you copy files over? Or (hopefully) there will be ways that this could be done via a cloud. I would imagine that MobileMe might would be allowed to do this but what about other services such as Dropbox or Google Docs? I wonder if Google Docs at anytime in the future will allow for desktop file sync like Dropbox does? I have a MobileMe account which is about to expire, but I've decided not to renew it because it is just not worth $99 (or a little cheaper at Amazon). But if it is the only way to do a cloud sync for iWorks on the iPad, I might would open it up again. Thoughts?

So I recently jailbroke my iPad 2 and am trying to find a way to download free movies and tv shows on my iPad without having to transfer files from another device like my desktop, which is too old to sync with my iPad. What I want is a way to download and watch videos totally within my iPad, rather than taking files from another device.

Im having a very strange problem. I got my IPAD today, running Vista and the latest ITunes software on my desktop.Ive setup everything and everything works perfectly, except for one thing.Im unable to download anything from the Appstore/Itunes on the ipad. I can connect fine. The problem occurs when I click to download an app, and I am then taken to the verification for the itunes account. I get a popup to verify and I enter in the logins and password, and from there....nothing. I know its trying to send to Apple because I did it so many times my credit card company fraud alert group called me.I know the credit card I use is good, I have it linked to three other accounts for the kids ITouches and Ipods, and even had it confirmed as authorized at the CC co. One point, if I remove the CC from my billing profile, Im able to download free apps from the IPAD.
