How do I sync PDF files to my iPad?

I cant seem to figure out how to get about half of my videos on my iPad. I have a number of videos all saved in iTunes at approximately the same resolution. The only difference I can see is the ones that won't sync to my iPad are MP4 files instead of M4V.
I have tried changing the extension, and that didn't fix the problem.
I have tried changing the extension, renaming it, and then putting it back into iTunes, still didn't fix the problem.
I ran it through Handbreak and it fixed the problem. Both files show up under Get Info as H264 at about the same data rate, yet only the new one will go on my iPad.
I am attaching two images from the Quicktime Inspector for each file. Can anyone explain a quicker way to make these files work than running them all through Handbreak?
MP4
M4V
so it's great that i can sync some Keynote/Pages/Numbers files over to my iPad. but is it realistic for me to select each file individually in iTunes in order to sync them???
I cannot seem to find a way to select a folder and have every file in that folder sync.
has anyone found a better way to do this?

I downloaded some videos that were already in mp4 format. However, when I try to sync it to my iPad in iTunes, it tells me that the files were not synced because they cannot be played on the iPad. What should I do?
The files play fine in WMP, iTunes and QuickTime. I tried using the "Create iPad version" under Advanced in iTunes - it seems like it's doing something, and saves a new version in the Library. I can sync it after - but it shows a blank white screen (on both the Pad and in Tunes) but I can hear the audio.
Everytime I open iBooks the first time after syncing, my PDF files appear for a moment and then disappear.
View 1 RepliesHere's my dilemma. I sync my iPad with my MacBook at home. I don't usually carry that with me all the time. If I'm at work, I might want to put a PDF file, or a Word file on my iPad. Is it possible to just do an app data sync, without doing a full iTunes sync?
View 3 RepliesI synch my iPad with a desktop that has my iTunes library on an external drive. I'm currently on the road with my Macbook Pro and have some .mp4 work files that I'd like to view on my iPad. Is there a way to transfer them to the iPad without synching (since that wouldn't be good!)
Note that I also have the Camera Connection kit and am willing to buy 3rd party file management apps if relevant. Thx!

i have my ipad3 for a month already and still havent sync my files from my pc to it.So frustrating and really drained about it.I used to have itunes on my windows vista laptop home basic.I installed it before when i got my itouch 3G.I just planned to use my itouch for my midi converted to mp3 music programs. So after i have sync the files, i decided i will uninstall itunes.Never thought one day i will have a chance to own an ipad. Now here where all my problem begins.Didnt realize that reinstalling itunes back on my laptop will be that complicated.Tried reinstalling the latest vesrsion of itunes but with no luck i cant.I asked apple and windows for help and tried many things but still i cant reinstall itunes.theres always an error that says:"There is a problem with this windows installer package.a program required for this install to complete could not be run.contact your support personnel or package vendor. The installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured.Errors occurred during installation.your system has not been modified.Pls run the installer again or click finish to exit."followed the instructions for that error thru apple advice, but still cannot reinstall itunes.
View 9 RepliesI sync home photos and movies between my iMac and iPad. I first take pictures & videos with a camera, download into iPhoto on my iMac, then sync to my iPad. My problem is with movies.
I use two different cameras for movies -- a Sony and a Canon. All works fine with movies taken with a Sony camera, which after downloading to iPhoto, appear as a 'MOV###" file. Those files sync and play everywhere, including on my iPad.
However, movies I shoot with a Canon camera download into iPhoto as a "MVI###" file. Those files play fine in iPhoto on my iMac but will not sync to my iPad.
When I attempt to sync those MVI movies to my iPad I get a warning message saying 'those files did not sync because they can not be played on iPad'
How do I get those MVI movie files to sync to the iPad?

View 1 RepliesWhile iTunes is nice to sync music, videos, apps, etc...I'm not keen on using it for transferring files like PDFs, Word Documents, Photos, etc... to and from my iPad.For those of you that have Jailbroken your iPads what methods do you use, other than iTunes to transfer files to and from your iPad? I wish there was an adapter for the iPad that simply allowed you to plug in a USB Flash drive and then a file explorer app that let you copy or paste any file back and forth. Anything like this coming down the pike?

If you save a Pages file, will the iPad allow me to send it through email? What are the options for getting iWork files out of the iPad?
1. iDisk (if you have MobileMe)?
2. Email?
3. iTunes sync?
*Also, can you set to save as a Microsoft Word document AS DEFAULT?

View 1 RepliesHow do I sync Ipad 2 with a MS pc (both ways) without Itunes. I cant install Itunes, Dropbox or Goodreader because of company policy, but I need to sync files between Ipad 2 and my work pc.The best solution has been to make Ipad 2 appear as an external harddrive through USB connection. As the Ipad is company asset, a jailbreak is not an option.
View 9 RepliesIs there any app that will automatically instant sync (for later offline viewing) files I drop into a folder on my computer? Ie if I download a file on my computer and drop it in the folder and leave my house 10 mins later (without pressing sync or manually downloading the file to my iPad), I want to be able to access the file offline without Internet.
