I use a Windows laptop for work (groan) that we use Outlook on. Is there a way to sync Outlook mail and calendar with the iPad? I currently have yahoo mail and gmail using Mail. I have been using Outlook web access to see my work mail but would like it all in Mail.LOVE the iPad calendar! Would like my Outlook events in my iPad calendar but NOT my personal stuff in my Outlook.
There are iOS mail, calendar, and contacts apps, but there is no built in task apps... I would like to see a task app that syncs with MS Exchange servers or Google tasks. All the apps that Ive found in the app store just aren't that great.. Anyone else with me on this?
When iPad2 get released and I can justify buying a 2nd iPad (1 for home use and 1 strictly for business use) I want to officially eliminate using a "paper" calendar at work and home. Until now I have never used iCal or calendar on iPad or iPhone. I've just kept an outlook calendar at work and a paper business planner (dayrunner style).
I want to get out of the stone age and begin to go digital w/everything. My needs are as follows and looking for suggestions and/or apps to meet my needs.
1. Outlook is not sync-able from work since they do not allow personal use devices to sync w company calendars. So I will enter appts/contacts manually into either my MacBook pro/iPad/iPhone but wish everything to sync up wirelessly via wifi (3G not necessary). When In range of wifi obviously.
2. Same goes as above with a "to do" list. Either an app or a calendar w this functionality (must have alerts). I'm talking a line-item style list not just as appt times in a calendar. So I can check things off and add throughout the day and week.
I think the biggest thing is not having to hard-wire sync my devices is the biggest thing I need. And see calendar and to do alerts on both iPad and iPhone is a must, even when phone is in my pocket and iPad in office.
I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 at work. Out IT administrator will not authorize access to our Calendar, contacts, and email for iPhone and iPad use. Is there any other way to sync my work Calendar and contacts with iPad? They lock down our PC's at work so we cannot add any software to our PC's. They allow uses with a blackberry to have access. I can get my notes and tasks by using iMLite.
Trying to sync the iPad throught iTunes, some of the appointments have come accross, but others have not. When I did the first sync, it created two calendars on the iPad, "From My PC" and "Calendar". The Calendar has some of the appontments, but not all. the From My PC has nothing, and it's missing lots of appointments.
My boss has an IPhone and IPad, up until last week they had no problem syncing each other and Outlook (exchange) now they will sync with each other but not with Outlook. When a calendar item is created in Outlook it will sync with both the IPhone and IPad, however the reverse is not true, the IPhone and IPad sync with each other but not Outlook. I tested this on my IPhone to Outlook calendar and it works fine, however no IPAD was in teh mix
I have just tried to sync my contacts for the first time (first time sync) and iTunes keep asking "are you sure you want to remove GoodPlayer."... GoodPlayer is installed and I don't want to remove this, when I I only have options to remove the app or cancel, when I cancel it conceals the whole sync not just the removal of this app. I have sync apps turned off as is everything else, I just want to sync my contacts with outlook.
I want to use my Ipad 3 for business email - I haven't set up anything as yet - I would like to set up Outlook mail, contacts, calendar and tasks if it will sync - ipad, laptop (not apple) and iphone. If this is not possible then any other systems that I can look at - I have read somewhere that Google apps? can do this with email, contacts and calendar (task??)
I try for 2 week I keep pop up the error massage.Error resolver. There are 18 sync conflicts. Then it ask me select the note information below :-iPhone note Outlook noteAsk me ti tick below :-Resolve all similar notes conflicts using iPhone. 1 a 18 .My questions is what is the best approach to clear these error MSG ? And how to make it in future don't appear again ?
USB cable sync seems to work fine - contacts, music, videos, apps, etc on both my Imac at home and PC at work. The weird thing is that in my ipad calendar, after a sync with my PC, all appointments are 11 hours earlier!!! My Iphone syncs well with both Imac and PC. Basically, I keep things (sync) segregated - personal content from Imac and work stuff from PC. Does anyone have any tips. I am willing to try cleaning the slate with my ipad to start again from scratch, but just wanted to check with you all.
Since Day 1, I cannot sync notes to my Ipad from Outlook. It says that it's syncing notes, but it ain't doing anything. This is every since I got my ipad. When I was using my Itouch in the pastit was working just fine.Even notes created on my Ipad, will not sync to my outlook.Tried even a clean install, of Windows 7 and Outlook, and setup Itunes to sync notes from Outlook, but no luck.
I've had my iPad (wifi, 64g) for just over a week now and am happily on a drive cross country, connected through WMWiFiRouter on my Sprint TouchPro 2. Very slick- and thank goodness for an unlimited data plan!Anyway, I've been researching how to sync all my Outlook contacts and email onto the iPad. I do NOT have Exchange Server - Just Outlook 2010. I'm not at my office (driving across New Mexico right now, actually!), but I was wondering if any here have that working with Mobile.me. Is it only through an iTunes sync, or does it work wirelessly?
I am having trouble figuring out how to sync my email from iPad to Outlook 2007. I want all messages and folders to sync - so that I don't constantly have duplicates everywhere. Would ideally like to do this with my iPhone too but finding syncing both is causing some loss of other data.
Is there a way to do this without Microsoft Exchange Server?
I have got a PC running Windows Vista with Outlook 2007 and an iPad. I am trying to sync my contacts and calendar to my iPad but when I try through iTunes (9.2), the Info tab doesn't show the sub-folders that my contacts are in (called Alison's Contacts) and when I move them to the main Contacts folder, it doesn't see them there either.
Calendar is pretty much the same; all calendar entries are in the main Calendar (not a sub-folder) and still don't sync!
It appears simply to just not see the source location despite the correct boxes being ticked in iTunes.
I have previously struggled with Windows Contacts and Calendar so went and bought Outlook 2007 and am getting very frustrated. I have tried the Apple support site and have followed various suggestions including de-activating and then deleting the Outlook Hotmail Connector.
I need a fix for a difficult problem with my Outlook calendar when it synchs with my iPad.All the information comes across to my iPad Ok except for the dates of my 'all day events' which appear ONE DAY BEFORE the correct date on my PC! If my appointments have a start and finish time then they will be on the correct date in my iPad but if I have an all day event (of which I have many) then every one is a day early!I have Outlook 2007 SP2 MSO. I run Win XP Home on a Dell PC Latitude X1 laptop. My iPad came from Boston, MA but I live in England. One hint or perhaps a red herring is that my problem might be the difficulty that I had convincing my iPad which time zone I was in as it kept switching from Boston to London while I was in the USA but now I am back in London it seem happy to stay here.
I have difficulty to sync back my ipad to microsoft outlook 2007I have read the user guide, searched the internet, tried by myself, and searched all the answers in this forum, but all in vain.Could you tell me how to sync back my ipad to microsoft outlook 2007 on my PCall your help will be appreciated, I apologize if my question has been discussed somewhere in this forum, since I couldn't find one then I posted it here.
I am considering purchasing an Ipad, but I will remain a PC user. I have a PC laptop for work, and I use that at home. So, my many questions pertain to using an ipad with a pc. Here they are:
1) Can I sync mail, calendar with outlook? I currently sync outlook calendar with google calendar and this works just fine. But I would like to have a calendar on the ipad without having access to the internet
2) "Things" looks terrific as a To Do list, but can I sync that with outlook, remember the milk, or some other To Do list. Again, I would like to have a to do list even when I do not have access to wifi.
