People with iPhone 3GS jailbroken phones + ipads, can you try running the following and see if there is a noticeable difference between wifi and 3G
Netflix Abc player YouTube Basically trying to see if I can justify keeping the wifi only version of the ipad. The 3G looks really enticing if i can stream shows from abc and netflix in a reasonable time.
I just got a 16GB iPad and I'm having problems with the Netflix app and the ABC Player app.The Netflix app is VERY slow. When I try to watch something, it starts to load, says "authorizing..." and then takes me to a screen that tells to me download the iPad app. Um, I'm IN the iPad app.The ABC player just stays on the splash screen.

View 4 RepliesI found the macrumors article pretty interesting that the 3G version of the iPad wont allow the user to play ABC app and scales down the video of the netflix application.I tried testing this out just right now and the netflix doesnt scale anything down and it plays the the ABC TV shows just fine. I wonder how those apps know what to look for that the user is using 3G but it wont recognize my tethered iPad to my 3G via T-mobile?

View 9 RepliesI have a two Wifi only Ipads, 16GB. I have successfully watched several Movies and TV shows on the Netflix app. But sometime in the last few weeks the Netflix App has all but become useless. I am able to launch the app and browse, edit and add things to my queue. But when I click on the Play button it takes me to the "You're almost ready to watch" screen and tries to load the movie for a few seconds and then I get an alert: "Unable to reach netflix.com" and stops there. The movie never starts. I know that the app itself has been updated but I am 90% sure that I was able to watch things after the latest update. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, restored my Ipad back to defaults, tried on at least three different ISP's and have tried the same Netflix account on my second Wfi Ipad, and have tried my parents account on either Ipad with it never working

View 3 RepliesI wasn't a fan when it was announced but as time went on I kept looking at it and by the time it was released I knew I wanted one. I just brought my 64gb iPad home. This thing is great. The first app I downloaded was netflix and it runs great. Now I have my netflix instant queue at my disposal anytime. Ok now I'm off to go play with my new toy and find some great books to read.
View 9 Replieshas anyone noticed on some of the older Netflix movies the audio is really low. I tried a few of the older movies and had the volume on maximum and still could hardly hear anything. I tried it with some of the newer movies and the audio was better. Now if I compare it to the ABC app the audio is perfect. My guess is its the Netflix app that needs an update or is there something wrong with my volume?

I can only seem to play things that are in the "video" application...any help would be appriciated. Ipad is also jailbroke using spirit.

Tonight I decided to watch some netflix on the samsung home theater. We went to grab a bit so I paused it till we could get home. When we got back, I couldn't get the movie going again so I reached for my iPad and launched the netflix app. There was our movie at the top of the list ready to play. And it resumed from the same spot we left off before we went to dinner. The ipad netflix app worked well and saved our evening after our samsung netflix box seemed to have a case of temporary insanity.
