Three days ago, I have connected my iPad 2 with a network having same name as my home network. After that, it is possible to establish connection with the home network using my iPad. What has to be done for accessing the home network again?

View 1 RepliesI have 2 separate networks at home; one has Internet access, the other does not. The second one is built-in to a high tech player piano, and it allows the piano to wirelessly connect to iTunes (pretty cool, right?) According to the owner's manuals, both iPad and iPod Touch will default to the last network used, but this simply isn't true in my case. Both devices always default to the network in the piano, when what I want is for them to default to the other network, which has Internet access. I do not want to FORGET the network in the piano, because I do use it often. How can I tell the devices which network is the preferred one?

we're having an issue with one of our iPads and I believe it has to do with the network authentication server and a stored password (or somewhere in-between). We haven't had issues in the past with this iPad, but now all of a sudden we are. When you unlock the iPad, connect to the wireless network of our business, and then open safari, you're either taken to our homepage or to a page displaying a "blocked page" websense error. The app should be asking for authentication (much like joining a public network), but it's not.
We can get the authentication credentials box to pop every once in a while, but still can't access 99.9% of the internet. This user's credentials are set in websense to be able to visit almost any webpage. Is there a stored file somewhere in the keychain or something that is not releasing it's login information? It's almost like the iPad has credentials logged for accessing the wifi network and a different set of credentials logged for the websense filter. This is very strange. Also, we just used this iPad at a hotel and were able to securely connect to our network with the VPN in iOS, however, we were not able to use safari... it just kept loading the page indefinitely.
The Default icons appear to be missing from home screen in my iPad2. What needs to be done to get them back on home screen?
View 1 RepliesI have a wireless g network, I get 1.0 to maybe 1.5 speeds (in my location it's either 56k or DSL and with DSL I only have access to one ISP).I will only used Ipad at my house and maybe a few other places. I have a disability which means this could be used in the hospital at at doctors offices but mainly at home. I use the net a lot through the day-10 hrs or so.I consider this a net tablet-as that will be it's main use, I want to be able to use apps like netflix, abc, and sony pictures.iPhone OS 3.1

View 7 RepliesI was trying to connect my iPad to the school's open wireless network which requires a user name and a password. And the page do pop up when I first get connected to the network. However, after I typed the information and clicked submit button, the page just stuck there and I couldn't click any link on this page and cannot zoom in and out. So I am wondering how I can solve the problem here. BTW, the other links on the login page just works fine. And moreover, I do really think iPad's wifi configuration *****. I cannot even type a user ID for a WEP network. So Apple trying to get into the enterprise market?

View 11 Repliesa 64gn wi-fi iPad and so far have just used it at home on our wireless network here in the UKDidn't have to do anything, the iPad just picked up the connection. However, we are on holiday/vacation in the US soon and whilst our villa does have wi-fi I am wondering do I need to actually do anything, or will the iPad just locate the wirless connection as it does when I am at home?
View 4 RepliesI have an ipad and would like to be able to read my pdf's when i am not connected to a network. I have tried emailing the pdf files to myself and opening them that way however some of the important files are too large for me to open on the ipad itself. I have mobileme and can put the pdf files on their but the mobile me idisk application needs to obviously be online before i am able to connect to it and it does not officially support the ipad's larger screen so i am stuck reading pdf's in the small box in the center of the screen. What other options do i have for doing this?

So I've finally ponied up for data on my iPad in the uk with o2. I've also joined to a btopenzone to use my free access there. It's really great when im out and about but when I'm at home I want the iapd to join to my personal wifi. Annoyingly there is a btopenzone within range of my house and the ipad seems to always want to join to that, every time I come home i have to reset the wifi preference to join my own network. So is there a way to tell the ipad to prefer my wifi network over the btopenzone?
Tldr; is there a way to get the ipad to prefer one wireless network over another?
I cannot connect my iPad to a wireless network running WPA2. I simply get the message back "Unable to join the network network name". This has been tried on an Airport Express and a Cisco wireless concentrator. Disabling WPA2 and the iPad will connect to both networks without issues. What is iPads support for WPA and WPA2? No issues with either Macs running Mac OS X or other PCs running Windows or Linux on the same network.
