Screen Resolution - Seems Text Is Little Blurry

Apr 3, 2010

Not sure I'm crazy about the screen resolution. It seems text is a little blurry. Book text seem a lot crisper on the iPhone. What does everyone else think?

Hi Resolution Images Are First Very Blurry And Then Snap Into Focus?

Mar 21, 2012

Has anyone noticed that hi res images that are akin to the new screen take a while to "come into focus"? I downloaded some of the iPad wallpapers at interface lift that are 2048x2048. I saved them to my photos app. When I view them, they are first very blurry and then snap into focus. When I view them as a slide show from the lock screen, they look like complete garbage before snapping in.

Videos On Its Screen Are To Some Extent Blurry

Mar 22, 2012

The videos on my iPAD screen are to some extent blurry. In other words, they do not seem sharp enough. So far I have only tried the ones on Netflix, and YouTube -- is it cuz they both aren't HD?

Sufficient Resolution - How Much Text Benefited From Retina Display Especially At Smaller Sizes

Apr 5, 2011

As an iPod Touch 4G user, I've never really noticed how much text benefited from the Retina Display, especially at smaller sizes, i look at a friend's iPod Touch 2G today. It was much more fuzzy, and I found myself having to increase the size of the text to make it easier to read. Here's are my questions to iPad users: Is this problem present on the iPad? Is it worth waiting for a resolution bump to buy as I do not immediately need one?

IPad 2 :: IOS 7.1.1 - Home Screen Background Blurry

Jun 26, 2014

I just updated to 7.1.1 on my iPad2 and when I try to use my pictures for the home screen background it just looks like fuzzy colors. I tried changing my Accessibility options to “Reduce Motion- On” but it did not work. When I preview my picture it fits the background perfectly.

Also, is there a way to use a photo for the lock screen without it getting blown up and stretched out? I’ve had to edit my photos through trial and error so they fit and don’t look ridiculously stretched.

When I downloaded 7.1.1 I needed to return my iPad2 to factory settings and re-install all my apps.

Blurry Letter - Open Games At Middle Of Screen

May 3, 2010

When I open up a game or even some other things, , I see that it is small and in the middle of the screen. The size of my iPhone. Now why would anyone want it so tiny? So then I tap the x2 in the right corner of the screen and it then fills the entire screen, however, if there are words, the words look a bit blurry. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or have experienced the same thing?

MacBook Air - Screen Resolution

Oct 21, 2010

With the new App store for the Mac coming out in three months, the much lighter and more useful MacBook Air available, I'm considering just selling my iPad and get the new MBA (Mac, not degree). I just have not enjoyed typing on the iPad. Too large for thumb typing, and just not workable with touch typing. So I use the Apple keyboard doc to type.I'm back to a small laptop. The new Magic Trackpad gives me all of the touch motions (probably even more) than the iPad. And my MacBook and LED screen don't have greasy fingerprints on it.The one issue I might have is iBooks, but that might show up in the new App store. And frankly, the iPad's screen resolution is just terrible for reading. Of course, maybe iPad 2 will have the same screen as the Retina display of the iPhone 4, which is lovely and easy to read. Also, I've actually stuck with the Kindle store for books, because there are just more books in the Kindle store, some at a lower price point (albeit just $1 give or take) than iBooks. Moreover, I get the real iWorks and Office on the MBA.

Having No Wide Screen Resolution?

May 8, 2010

I love my iPad. But I still can't figure out why they went with 1024x768, instead of a nice wide-screen resolution, preferably 1280x720. It sure would of been nice, as it would save me from having to crop or zoom in on many Movies to just get full-screen. Maybe the only reason I can come up with, is it would look a little long when holding it in Portrait mode. Would you have preferred a wide-screen iPad?

Screen Resolution Larger Than Display

Oct 16, 2010

I've rebooted several times already including holding the home and power buttons and sliding Off using my nose. Screen is almost correct but then zooms out so to speak. Everything on the periphery disappears into the border. "pinching" does nothing. Switching apps briefly brings it back to almost normal but then it zooms out again. Anyone have a solution that doesn't require a trip to the Apple store?

Screen Resolution - Reading Websites

May 9, 2010

I like the thing, and I think it has a place in my life. But, the screen resolution just feels too low for me. Not so much when playing games or looking at pictures, but when reading text which is 95% of my iPad experience. When laying in bed with dim lights, reading websites the text just looks very grainy to me. I can't help but think this may improve in future generations. So it's back to the apple store I go before my 14 days are up.

What Screen Resolution Would A Retina Display Have ?

Nov 27, 2010

Firstly, yes I know "Retina Display" is just a brand/marketing term made up by Apple. But I think we all know the maths behind it was that someone with 100% eyesight, holding the device (the iPhone) at the distance that Apple felt was NORMAL for this screen size (3.5") could not see the individual pixels.Due to the maths of pixel size / distance / human eye resolving power. So that's all understood and agreed with.Given this, has anyone done the same maths for the iPad, and what actual screen resolution the iPad would have to be to be legitimately called a Retina Display by Apple. We have to understand of course that Apple would deem the iPad would be held at a greater distance away (in normal use) than the iPhone with it's 3.5" screen.

How Will An App With Lower Resolution Screen Appear On Ipad 3

Sep 4, 2012

Im about to purchase a game in the iOS app store, Final Fantasy 3. As far as I know, this game is a port from a Nintendo DS, wich has a very low resolution. Moreover, I read that while this look goods on a iphone, it doesnt look that good on an Ipad, because of the 1280x960 resolution. Now, there is the iPAd 3 with the insane retina resolution. how does this game, or any other application meant for a lower resolution screen appears on this new iPAD? Will I get like a micro screen within the iPad panel?
