I was visiting the YouTube website because the App only let's you post comments a couple of times before it says unavailable. On YouTube the capture kicks in to prevent spam but there you have the option to fill it in.
Anyway, I'm asked to log in on the main site and it triggers launching the App. Now every time I return to Safari it continues to immediately do it again. I don't have time to close the tab. I've tried wiping, history cookies and cache in the settings but that didn't work.
I've had to install the Atomic browser to come here. I don't want to do a full reset of everything just for this. I'm away from my desktop.
I have noticed that on my 1st gen iPad, in then past week or so, when clicking on a YouTube link while in Safari, after opening YouTube and watching part of the video, then clicking the Home button and relaunching Safari, I will get a crash. Specifically, on relaunching Safari, the most recent page is brought up, but only a blank page. When I hit the button to open all pages, only the top 1 inch displays (the bottom of the screen is white). Then Safari cranes and the home iOS screen opens. Then I launch Safari, usually with no problem.
I have an Ipad that I tried to Jailbreak. I used the greenp0ison method. It got half way and just hang for an hour. So I reset the Ipad. Now all it does is goes in to DFU mode. I can restore but every time I restore it goes back in to DFU mode. All I have is a black screen. I've tried running it on both MAC and PC to restore. I tried to restore normally and with a custom rom. I also tried tinyumbrella. The program allows me to kick it out of dfu mode and in to what it calls recovery mode (White screen) Once I tried to restore back in to DFU I go.
My iPad 2 is stuck in a set up loop on iOS beta 5. I have a dev account so that is not the issue here. Once the iPad finishes the set up load all my apps and such and the before I can tap anything goes back to the set up process. Pretty sure I just need to restore and be done with it, but I don't really want to since I am lazy and don't ever back up and haven't done a back up since I did the upgrade to iOS 5.
My iPad is stuck in a boot loop. I've tried DFU and recovery mode with no success. I get different errors: 1601, 1611, 2001, and still other ones. Apple's site recommends me to check the connection. But my iPod Touch is syncing normally, and I've been trying two cables. And I've been trying on a PC and on a MacBook.
When I google my problem, most of the links are about jailbroken iPads, but mine is not.
ive got a ipad 2 wifi + 3G FW 4.3.5, it seems that what i do still error 1013 pops out and i got stuck in recovery loop.. i tried so many things like editing the Hosts file for Win7 or OSX.. using tinyumbrella etc. still it wont make a complete restore. i also used 4 computer ( hp win7, MBpro, MBWhite, and Mac mini) still error 1013 pops out and fix recovery 4.3 doesnt work, even recboot..
Ipad Mini (7.1.2) First stuck in Restart Loop, after restoring through Recovery mode, DFU mode it came back to life. But after sometime it again went into dead state. Now while charging with Wall Charger it shows itunes logo. PC is not detecting it. PC only detects it when I put it into DFU mode. But after extracting software, iPad screen flashes for once. And itunes stucks in "Waiting for iPad"? iPad, iOS 7.1.2
As the subject line says, I've just jailbroken my iPad (3G, 32G, iOS 3.2.1), and all was going well until I installed WinterBoard and it asked me to reboot. Now all I see it the white Apple logo for a few seconds then it reboots spontaneously, and this repeats forever.
Is this a know issue?
I assume I'll be able to restore my iPad when I get home and it will work normally again...
My Ipad 2 4.3.3 jb could not be turned off so i reset all settings wit restrictions code. I finally ended up with a resetting status bar which could't complete(stops nearly at the beginning). the Ipad then resets and the very known pleasant loop has already begun.
i am on vacation and don't have my computer with me. The Ipad is really loaded. Do you please have a solution without restoring? Can i do something with ifunbox for example?
This has been annoying me for ages. I've got several devices, had several iPhones and the procedure shold be:
1) connect to laptop 2) iTunes syncs device 3) iTunes says it's done syncing 4) device goes back to home (or lock) screen
With my iPad, after iTunes says it's done syncing, it gets stuck in a loop, sometimes for minutes at end, where the apple icon plus wait spinner comes up again and again with the sound that normally occurs when you first connect. This can't be right. So how exactly can I fix it? FWIW, I am completely up-to-date with OS updates.
Information: 15 MacBook Pro, iPhone 4 Mac OS X (10.6.4)
I recently upgraded cydia on my tethered 4.2.1 ipad 1. At the end of the process it rebooted my ipad for me. I have rebooted my ipad before and had no problems tethering again, but this time I am not able to go into DFU or Recovery Mode, and it is stuck at the apple logo and restarts every few minutes. It will not boot enough to even connect to my computer through usb.
I have ipad 3 + 5.1.1. Yesterday while browsing it went into recovery mode on its own. 1. I tried DFU (Redsn0w 09.b2) and recovery mode but it is not getting out of recovery mode at all. 2. I tried Tinyumbrella 5.11, Reboot 2.1 doesn't work. Have tons of data NOT backed up. Don't want to lose it. Its gone into an endless recovery mode loop. It is not jailbroken. Latest backup not on icloud.
I have a 3rd generation iPad that's a WiFi only model and the 64GB model. I have been using a version of iOS 7 on it for awhile and at times it would mysteriously reboot. I could be in the middle of using it or I could even not be using it at all and simply see it restart.
With the release of iOS 8 I installed the new version hoping it may fix this issue. Sadly it got much worse. I was able to get into the device a few times but for the last 5-6 days I can't get into it. It simply is stuck into a constant reboot loop. It shows the Apple logo like it's restarting but it never fully restarts. It makes a sound like a beep and then begins restarting once again. This is a never ending loop. I even left it unplugged so that the battery would run down and then plugged it in again but that didn't work. I also read on Google how you can put it into restore mode by pressing the home button while connecting to the computer/iTunes but that also didn't work.
I don't know if upgrading to iOS 8.0.2 will fix the problem. Probably not but I've never done a reset. The iPad was backed up about 2 weeks ago to iCloud so I'd like to get into it if possible to do a factory reset and wipe the device so that I can upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 and then reinstall all apps. Yet I don't know how to do this if I can't get into the device.
I have tried the reset where I hold down the sleep/wake button the same time as the home button but that doesn't work. I also tried connecting it to iTunes to do a reset but it won't let me do anything with it unless I enter the passcode on the iPad and it never boots to the point of where I can do that. Also, I thought of doing a reset on iCloud (marking it as a lost iPad to do a reset) but I realize this will only work if it boots enough to get to iCloud.
How to recover my iPad files I was on youtube and locked the device when I came back to the device it crashed to the recovery screen. I have tried everything to pop it out of a recovery loop It had iOS 6 on it and I wanted to know if there was any hope of recovering my files. Ide be willing to try anything (No backups, or iCloud backups have been made either). Idealy I would need something to either dump the system memory to my hard drive I dont believe the data to be deleted (I can get into DFU Mode).
The other day I decided to give my Ipad it's long awaited system update, alls good, it starts installing I go to bed, however during the night it must have run out of charge as it died. Now I am stuck in a loop of it charging, turning on, asking to be restored and then running out of battery again (or so it says).
I reckon the problem is the brightness is at max and the restore screen does not seem to turn off, so it sits there draining what little battery my ipad has accumulated in a never ending loop. My charger isn't apple branded but it runs at 5.1 volts (I believe that's just over 2 amps?) I think that is enough although I could be wrong? I was hoping you good people would be able to tell me. If it is meant to be enough, is there any way I can turn the ipad off during this loop at any point while still charging it?
Info: iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1, Updating to 7.1.2
I have a new Ipad (The model between Ipad 2 and Ipad 3). It is stuck in the boot loop where the battery symbol comes on, then the apple logo appears and then the ipad runs out of charge despite being connected to the charger. It repeats this loop over and over again.
I have tried the following:Trying different cables and chargers. Pressing the home and power buttons at the same time when the apple icon appears. (The ipad won't stay on for 10 secs so i cannot get the power icon to switch it off and reboot.)Connecting the ipad to a computer when I get an icon that says connect to itunes. (Again, the ipad does not stay on long enough to complete recover mode. It only stays on for 8-9 seconds.)
I am creating a website where I need to embed a .mov movie, autostart it and keep looping it.On a windows pc and on a mac pc it works but on an IPad (2) I need always to start the movie manually and it does not loop.Does anybody havre a working example somewher ?I tried the <embed> as well as the <video> (html5) tag but it does not want to autostart and loop.

My Safari browser is giving me an error message that states I'm trapped in an infinite loop. An "OK" button appears to abort the loop, but the button seems frozen and just doesn't work. I tried simply turning the IPad on and off, but I'm still trapped in the loop. How do I reset the application?
And by the way - the loop got started when I visited a site to redeem frequent flier miles. Go figure!
I just got the ipad 2 (white 32gb 3g/wifi) and am experiencing a lot of problems watching youtube videos on it. I am only using wifi as of now. I've tried both going on safari and and on the youtube application but it just gets stuck on loading and after a while it says that it cannot play this video.
For the past few days, Safari repeatedly gets about 25% of the way into loading a page and gets stuck. No problems with the same page in Windows or Android browsers or even Firefox on the iPad. Am I alone is is this a common, unwelcome problem?
I installed MyWi (the no rock one) and I am unable to connect my iPad to it. I see the ssid on my iPad and it connects and I see the wifi symbol with 3 signal strength, but when I try to use safari an alert pops up saying there is no connection to the internet. Has anyone had this happen and figured out a way to connect? I have done a google search but came up with nothing.
Anyone having problems getting gmail to load completely? My setting in gmail is on the new theme and set to view as if it was in desktop mode, but somehow, gmail gets stuck in loading. And scrolling down is not available...
I would like to know if there is a way to launch YouTube app from safari for YouTube videos embedded on a page. For example, I'm browsing a blog and there is a post with a YouTube video, I can see the video, but I would like to review it's comments, or similar videos on YouTube, but I can't access it. I think there must be a button for "seeing it on YouTube" like pressing the YouTube logo on a embedded video on a Mac or PC.
