Restored It From IPhone But Apps Settings Didn't Transfer
Mar 9, 2011
When I restore my new iPad from my iPhone backup in iTunes, all the apps do get copied over but not their associated info (e.g., email account setup, login credentials for on-line apps, preferences). Then I reset iPad to factory settings and restored, but still no settings. have to set up all the apps again. What am I doing wrong - how do I get it to copy over the apps with all their associated settings?
Restored Backup Would It Also Restore All Settings
Oct 11, 2010
My iPad has been having random crashes. I have shut it down and turned it back on and it still crashes occasionally. Just now it even crashed in Settings.I was wondering if I restored it to factory and reloaded it with a backup would that help.Mosre importantly though is this question, if I restored a backup would it also restore ALL settings, game saves, documents written in pages and a journal program, etc?A Best Buy guy told me about pressing and holding the power button and home button for several seconds.

Restored To Factory Settings And Now Have No Camera
Apr 7, 2012
Just recently purchased an ipad 2 and I restored it so that the other persons info and everything was off of there, but after I had restored it, I no longer have the camera , photobooth, or facetime apps. I have tried searching for the apps on itunes and cannot fine the same ones. I have also download some other photo apps and when I go to click on the take a photo button it exits and puts me back at the home screen. I really don't know what else to do. I am able to take screen shots, but cannot find anywhere to take a photo with the cameras.

Sep 16, 2012

Restored Factory Settings - ITunes Will Not Read IPad 2 Now
Aug 4, 2011
I bought Ipad 2 (16 GB), downloaded latest version of itunes and connected the ipad to my laptop a week ago. It worked fine, itunes detected it, I registered at app store (but didn't register the ipad yet). Today, I restored factory settings on Ipad 2 and tried to connect it to a different laptop (don't have access to the first laptop anymore). I again downloaded the new version of itunes and then connected it. Nothing is happening.
The ipad turns on for a second so I can see the image of white usb chord and itunes symbol. but itunes on my laptop doesn't read it. Since I restored factory settings, the Ipad now gives only that screen of white usb chord to be plugged in the itunes symbol whether it is connected to the laptop or not. I even gave the current laptop authorization from itunes ("authorize this computer"). I'm using Windows 7

IPad :: Can Retrieve Photos And Clips Lost After Factory Settings Were Restored
Sep 6, 2014
some "IT expert" did an update on my ipad and never completed the update properly. the ipad went into recovery mode then automatically restored to factory settings. lost all photos and clips on my camera roll. data was never backed up. Photos and Clips that I have lost are very important to me. I have some memory loss from this important time in my life and I have been hanging on to these photos. Reward offered for successful retrieval of ALL photos. Ipad has been to KROLL on TraCk Apple Inc Approved Data recovery specialists who said this cant be done.

Reboots Itself And Needs To Be Restored As An IPhone
Aug 10, 2010
My iPad keeps rebooting itself every few minutes (if I am trying to use it). It tells me that the iPhone can't make or receive calls(?)and that I need to restore from iTunes at www.apple.com/support. Obviously the iPad can't make or receive calls anyway. The problem started with the wifi not working in my office building. Now I can't even get it to stay up without rebooting itself every 2 - 3 minutes. And it is continually searching for a signal, even though my iPhone has full signal.
Unable To Transfer App Settings/possible To Sync/transfer Settings?
May 28, 2010
We only got the iPad in the Uk today so apologise if these are obvious questions! Is it possible to sync/transfer settings from my iPhone to iPad. I set up my new iPad and would like iPhone settings on the iPad to be synced e.g. preferences of an app etc. Is this possible or will the devices work independently.
I am not a games fan but I do indulge in Angry Birds, the iPad version has lost all my settings! Is it possible for both devices to sync settings so that whatever platform I play on the settings will be updated?I have not yet Kindle yet, are page marks etc synced between the devices?
Information: Mac OS X (10.6.3) G4, G5 Towers, G3, G4 and Intel PBs, Time Capsule, Apple TV, iPhone and iPods.
The problem I have is when I download apps on my iPhone, and then sync them back to my iTunes, it auto checks them all to be installed on my iPad next time I sync. I do not want any non-iPad specific Apps on my iPad so I find it annoying I have to manually unclick the new apps from syncing.
Honestly, I believe I saw a prompt about this, and I regrettably clicked it to stop showing. Is their any way you can get this back so I can manage my App Sync how I like?

I was wondering if the apps I already have will be transferrable to the I-pad? Also..because of the difference in size of the screens on the I-phone and the I-pad..will the resolution of the apps I already have look and play alright on the I-pad?
