I rented an iTunes movie, watched it, now days later it's still hanging around on my iPad. I can't play it anymore..... It says movie not available, but it shows movie chapters and movie info. How do I delete it? Thanks!

Unable To Delete Rented Movie - No Option Available To Delete It
Oct 13, 2010
I rented a movie on my MBP via iTunes and synced it to my iPad. It ended up expiring and now I see that it is on my iPad, but there is no option to delete it. From iTunes, there is no option to sync or delete rented movies any more (the whole rental section of the Movie tab is GONE when I sync my iPad.
I un-synced all my movies, but that deleted other movies i had synced, not the rental! What is going on here? I have nearly 2 GB eaten up with a movie I can't watch or remove!

I have a rented HD movie that is taking up space and will not play I got from iTunes.
iTunes store agreed to credit me "as a one time exception" for the movie they sent me that will not play. I suppose that means the default is that we pay for movies that don't work when we get them.
But my angst is that it is taking up space (I know I have 64GB but...) and I would like to get rid of the movie.

I am a novice with my new iPad...I have never "rented" a movie from iTunes...can I "rent" a movie, download it and watch it while on a commercial airplane?
The movie finished downloading and then it disappeared! I open it from the movie list and the download button is off, like it's telling you hat you've downloaded it...
I transferred a rental movie from my laptop to my Ipad. I haven't watched it yet, and would like to transfer it back to the laptop, but there doesn't seem to be an option. The movie was downloaded to the laptop, and not directly to the Ipad. In the support notes, it says the rental can be transferred between devices during the 30 day rental period.
I've been downloading a rented movie from iTunes on my iPad or several hours now and barely a quarter done. What am I doing wrong? Information:Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.6.3).
I dowloaded an HD movie (Sherlock Holmes) and it was dowloading and it stops. It says "download error, Tap to retry" and I retry and the same thing happens.

Can't Move A Rented Movie From Itunes On PC To IPad 2
Jun 1, 2012
I have dowloaded a rental movie from itunes directly onto my PC.
I am now trying to sync my ipad with the PC / itunes to transfer the rented movie onto my iPad. I believe I am takign the correct steps (moving the films from 'rented fims' to 'on my iPad'.
However I am getting a message the following message:
'The rental "The Iron Lady" could not be transferred to the iPad becuase it has already been transferred to another computer or devise.'
I am not sure what devise it is referring to, as the only place the movie has been downlaoded it from itune's store to my itunes on my PC.
IPad Mini :: Transferring Rented Movie From ITunes (11.3.1)
Aug 22, 2014
I have done this before, so I thought I knew how to do it.
1) connect to iPad to iTunes
2) make sure iPad and iTunes are signed in to the same account
3) click on iPad and then the Movies section on the drop down menu on the top left.
4) click on the movie you want moved to the iPad
The problem is, that i see the movies on iTunes that are rented, but I can't figure out how to get them onto the ipad. All the previous discussion topics are from an way earlier version of iTunes.
I recently rented a movie on my iPad but would like to finish watching it on either my Mac, or (ideally) on my AppleTV at home. I have my AppleTV synced to my iTunes but when I plug in my iPad, there is no screen to move the movie to my other devices. I hop it's possible to purchase a film on my iPad and get it off of it onto my other devices!

I just rented a movie on my iPad. The amount of minutes needed to download the movie keeps on increasing. The status bar isn't even moving. What do I do ?
