Is possible for an iPad to 'find' a Blackberry or visa versa so I could compose text messages on my iPad's larger keyboard and send it to the Blackberry to be sent as text message from my phone. (so it uses the credit that's on my phone)
I had thought of SMS to email service but many tend to be for businesses and my iPad wont vibrate when I get incoming text, so I'd want any return replies to go to my Blackberry. You also have to pay seperately for another load of texts and I dont want my SIM to be disconnected if no credit is going on and its not been used. (i cant speak/hear well enough to use voice calls).
I wondered if some kind of environmental control app such as Red Eye would do it as they say you can control lights, thermostats, blinds etc as well as TV's and basic Infra red devices. If anyone does find their iPad can pair with their mobile phone and they can send text to it, I would be interested to know what model phone you have.
I cannot pair my Ipad with my blackberry 9700 phone. The two apparels "see" each other but when i attempt to pair this message is displayed on my. Ipad: "impossible to connect to BlackBerry9700"

View 1 RepliesJust got a small generic bluetooth keyboard, but it won't pair with the ipad. When I try to pair with the Ipad, it prompts me to enter the code, then a second or two later, it says that it could not pair the device. I've tried this repeatedly (even typing the number quickly, as well as after the error pops up, to no avail).I tested the keyboard with my Macbook and no issues. I've powered down the Ipad and keyboard several times. Also, deleted and turned off the bluetooth connection with my MAC (just did this to test that the keyboard was in fact working).

Macbook Pro
Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I successfully paired my Jabra Halo headset with my iPad a few days ago. It worked wonderfully well for several days. Then I paired my headset with my MacBookPro just fine. I went to pair the headset back with my iPad, and now it won't pair with it. I have unpaired and turned off the Bluetooth on my MacBook and still my iPad will see but not connect to my headset. I have also turned the Bluetooth on the iPad on and off, as well as the headset. It doesn't matter what I do, when I turn Bluetooth back on for the iPad, it will see the headset, but the Wheel of Death just spins and spins and it never pairs. It doesn't even give me the option of putting the pairing code back in on the iPad. What do I do to re-pair the headset with my iPad?

View 5 RepliesI recently got an ipad 2, and discovered that it easily paired with my droid x, but I haven't figured out what I can do now that they are paired. I would love to steam movies from the droid onto the ipad screen is that possible? If movies are a no go, what about photos, or transferring files? What is possible via bluetooth?

View 2 RepliesI tried pairing my iPad with my Droid phone (don't hate iphone fans) both my droid and iPad see each other and actually pair but the iPad will not connect. It just displays finding devices and the little windmill keeps spinning. I know they pair because both the iPad and Droid have the popup window with the Bluetooth pairing key which matches.
