View 1 RepliesWhy are there two trash folders?
View 3 RepliesWhen I delete an email it goes into the Trash folder for that account, but doesn't delete when I close the app. How do I empty the Trash folder, without going through and deleting each and every (hundreds!) email?

I setup my office imap account on my iPad's mail and have approximately 100 sub folders that I can expand or contract on my PC in my Outlook inbox that are now appearing on my iPad's screen. I cannot contract those sub folders on ther iPad and I only want to see what is in the main inbox. Is there a way to hide these sub folders? All I want to see on the screen of my iPad is the main inbox, sent items, outbox and deleted items.
View 7 RepliesI can't for the life of me figure out or find any reference in the Guides to how the extra boxes are created in the iPad Mail into which I can MOVE emails I want to retain on the iPad.
View 2 RepliesWhen I delete messages I get a message saying that the messages could not be moved to the folder....even though they seem to leave the inbox.
View 3 RepliesMy folders for my yahoo mail are not there when I hit the mail icon all I have is inbox, trash, and drafts but none of the others are there on my yahoo mail account I have them on my other mail account.
My outlook messages are going to trash instead of my in-box.

Just got IPad2. How can I delete emails in inbox and trash all at once? Is this possible or do I have to do each one individually?
View 5 RepliesI don't appear to have an trash mailbox - only an inbox. I'd like a pending mailbox too. how to create one?
View 5 RepliesFairly new to my iPad 3, but a long-time iOS user with an iPhone 4S. I have an iCloud email account along with my work Exchange account. iClous is the defaul email account. For some reason, any time I restart the iPad, Mail opens only in my iCloud inbox, and not in my unified inbox. Can't find any setting relating to this action. My iPhone 4S consistently opens in the unified inbox, with the exact same email accounts running the same 5.1.1 system with the same settings. A small bug, but kind of driving me nuts anyway. Am I missing a setting somewhere to fix this issue?
View 1 RepliesSet up gmail imap account and started to notice that deleted messages from the inbox move to trash rather than archive. Furthermore I tried to change the settings in the advanced section of the mail account on the iPad and selected the all mail folder for the "deleted messages" field. BUT the iPad does not save the setting. Tried several times

Emails are coming into my inbox as normal but then when I go back later on they all move to the trash folder? How can I stop this happening?

Prior to updating to os 4.2 I had trash, email and drafts folders in email. Now, after updating, those folders are gone. how I can get those back?
View 5 RepliesSo far I have tried swiping, editing and tapping the trash can. nothing in the guide addresses this issue. I can't believe all the iPad users are deleting junk and trash individually..I'm up to 700+ emails
View 2 RepliesI cannot see contents of folders other than the inbox. I can see content of folders for any email received since installation but no previously filed emails.
View 5 RepliesThe iPad 1 is running iOS 5.1.1. I have created an IMAP mail account and in Mailbox Behaviors have mapped Drafts on the iPad to Entwürfe on the server, Sent on the iPad to Gesendete Objekte on the server, and Deleted on the iPad to Papierkorb on the server. When I send mail from this account it does not appear in Sent. Using a Web mail client I can verify that it does not appear in Gesendete Objekte either. I have the same problem when I delete mail from this account on the iPad: the mail does not appear in Trash (on the iPad) or Papierkorb (on the server).
I have setup the account on an iPhone 4S, and the same problems occur there. On an MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.4 I have also setup an IMAP account for the same server and have performed tha same mapping of the Mail folders to the server's. There, everything works as expected. When I send a mail from that account on the Mac, it appears in Sent, Gesendete Objekte and in Sent on the iPad and iPhone. Similarly, when a mail is deleted from the account on the Mac, it appears in Trash, Papierkorb, and Trash on the two iOS devices.
I have my ipad set to PUSH emails from my exchange account at work. When I recieve an email into my inbox everything works fine I get the email notification sound and a number 1 appears next to the mail icon on the home screen. However in Outlook I have several folders set up which mail will go directly too instead of into my inbox to keep things nice and tidy. So say if I recieve an email from Fred Bloggs it goes directly into my Fred Bloggs folder instead of into the inbox. My Ipad recognises I have recieved a new email by making the notification sound HOWEVER a number does not appear next to the mail icon on the Home screen. Is there any way of making the mail icon on the home screen display the number of new emails in folders as well as the inbox or does it just monitor the inbox
