OTHER Computers On WiFi Network Require Password Each Time
Aug 4, 2010
I searched the archives here and couldn't find this problem, so hopefully someone can solve this for me.Just got a new iPad last week...it connects to my network fine, and signal is great. However, since the iPad has joined my home wifi network, all other computers are asked to enter the password each time they connect to the network. I do NOT have to enter the password when joining on the iPad.Router is Airport Extreme...I've upgraded to latest software, reset the router, etc.
Is it possible to require an email password to be entered each time a mail account is accessed? I am waiting for my ipad to arrive and was hoping we could all share it in our family and have our email accounts setup on there, but to require us to enter a password when accessing each account so that we can have some privacy (i.e. - kids not being to read our email) when using our accounts and also in case it is lost or stolen and someone else accesses it.
Does The IPad 3 Require A Wifi Network To Setup The 3G
Apr 1, 2012
I sent my brother his new iPad 3 and he is in Qatar. Apple claims that at least the 3G will work overseas but what are the details on this? He received the iPad and cannot get his 3G account to set up. I know when I got my iPad 2 as soon as I landed in Baltimore I had it set up before even getting off of the plane. Does the 3 require a wifi network to set up the 3G or what?
I had some work done on my home network, which affected all my wireless devices. I was able to get everything up and running, but the Ipad. I have a different type of encryption now and can't connect to my Ipad. My nephew, who did the work, wants me to delete the current wifi and then start over so it will see the current wifi network. The network that is showing is my new network name, but I type in the password and I get an unable to join/dismiss message. I have tried to reset network settings, but I still see the same network. My nephew won't be back until later in the week, I miss the wifi.
recently added a password protection my router due the fact that someone in my building was hacking in on my bandwidth. So I've placed a WEP security on my connection and with a password.
But heres the thing on my laptop it remembers my password, so every time I start up my laptop i do not need to retype the password to access my wifi. But on my iPad i do.
Is there a way I can get my iPad to remember my password or should I rather change my security on my router to WPA instead of a WEP
My Ipad will connect to my home Wifi network but will randomly pop up with an error message that the password is incorrect after having already connected (with the correct password).
Can't Connect To Wifi Despite Correct Password And Network
Jul 2, 2012
I was given an iPad as a present in the UK and now I'm home in Brussels I can't get it to connect to my home wifi, despite it working perfectly well and the wifi being connecting to the laptop and other devices all okay. I know the password I enter is correct but it still won't let me 'join' anything.
How To Get WiFi Password To IPad 2 For Network Access
Oct 15, 2011
I just got an iPad 2 wifi and want to allow it to access my wifi network which is WPA2 protected. I have a complex passphrase on the WPA2 to keep my network safe. How do I get the passphrase onto my iPad so I can paste it into the password box to access my network? Typing the password in is my last resort being that it's a long complex password and it would be far easier to cut and paste it in like I do with my computers. Can I do it through iTunes?
I am new at using an IPad 2. My IPad was connected to my home wireless. I changed the password on my home router and now I do not know how to change that password on my IPad.
Go Back To Enter A Different Password For Wifi Network?
Apr 15, 2012
How can I go back to enter a different password for my wi fi network ? I've tried power off and on. But the ipad is still trying to access my home hub network - unsuccessfully.
I have to always enter the password to my home network. It used to remember it in the past so that whenever I turn on the wifi when I am at home, it automatically connects to it.

IPad 3G Not Remember Password If Disconnected From WiFi Network
Jun 24, 2012
I just bought the new iPad and have found that whilst I can connect to wifi, if I disconnect from the network it doesn't remember my password. This is really annoying and has left me quite disappointed. I have tried a system reset and restore but it hasn't worked.
