OS 4.2 Startup Lockout / Won't Register To Computer?

I upgraded my Ipad last night to OS 4.2 and now all it will do is show the initial startup screen from when I bought it. It shows the USB end of the connection wire with an arrow pointing to the iTunes symbol. When I connect my Ipad to a computer however it does not even register on the computer or the Ipad that it is connected. My version of iTunes is current and updated and I have tried it on the same 3 computers I've been connecting it to since I bought it. Anybody have any suggestions for me?
Registration And 3G - Register Without Using A Computer?

Before leaving on vacation, I forgot to sign up for 3G (iPad 1) for the first time. Now I try and the sign up panel rejects my card or address or something. In iTunes, I have always clicked the "Register Later" button when connecting the iPad, so I thought maybe AT&T was not liking the missing registration, but when I went to apple.com, they listed my serial number as already having been registered. Would that be from when I bought it (at Best Buy)? Is there a way to register without using a computer? Or is the registration irrelevant to the carrier?

My wife and I are the parents of a 13 year old special needs child. The Ipad has become a valuable tool for him. He is non verbal and wears hearing aids. He currently has the original Ipad and the Ipad 2. He uses one at school and the other at home. I have turned off Wifi,YouTube,installing apps etc on the Ipad at school.I have a few questions that I am hoping someone can help me with.Is there anyway to lockout/disable the settings icon on the main screen? He is constantly in the settings menu changing something. I have enabled the restrictions lock under the General Settings but this does not prevent him from changing all other settings.
Secondly is there away to make videos inaccessible to him at school. I rented a movie on his iPad from Itunes the other day. The school called about inappropriate content ( Transformers Movie) on the Ipad. I had turned off YouTube,wifi,safari and Itunes. I assumed this would stop the movie from playing. Once the movie is downloaded is there anyway to restrict access to it short of deleting it? I know if I rent via my desktop I can transfer the movie between the desktop an Ipad but with the Transformers movie I download directly to the iPad.

I understand the warranty will start on the day i register it but will he be able to have it on his itunes account?
Don't think I like Apples new Express Lane and the "My Support Profile" as doesn't show my iPad, or my wifes or either of my AppleTVs yet when I go to register says its already registered to another customer yet under "Recent Cases" it shows my iPad and serial number and called in they were able to verify its registered to this Apple ID they have no clue why not showing up under My Products and then even funnier is on the left hand side it says:"We're sorry, you are signed in with an Apple employee or contractor account that cannot be edited with My Support Profile."so wont let me edit phone numbers wont let me check VoicePass or SMS... And they have no clue whats going on there either.....
I updated to iTunes 10 earlier today and now my iPad does not register at all in iTunes Devices pane when I try to sync it. The iPhone 4 syncs perfectly. Do I just wait for Apple to sort out the problem with iTunes 10.
The company I work for is thinking of donig a raffel for iPads. The idea is to register the iPad under the companies name and then at a convention, have users sign up with them on the iPad to get their information. By entering their information they enter themselves in a raffel to give the iPad they used as a giveaway.
Is there a way we can first register the iPad's with the companies name and then once we raffel them off, register it with the person who won the raffel?
After seeing iPads and iPhones turn on the same and really boring way with just a white Applelogo, i started thinking about how they could make it look alot better. I've seen androidphones turn on with moving images and nice things, and the very FIRST time you start a mac, you'll see a really nice welcoming message and that made me be like HMMM... Why can't Apple do the same thing to the iPhones and iPads?
I have a Mobile Me account and have my iPhone, iMac and work PC registered but am unable to register my iPad, how do I go about doing this. I have my me.com e-mail address as the default address on my iPad.
I was trying to register my wife's iPad, using her iTunes account. It said that the ID didn't match the password no matter what I did, including resetting the password several times.What is odd, is that we were able to download apps directly to the iPad by typing in the new password on the iPad. In other words, iTunes seems to recognize the iPad, the account and the password, but it keeps asking us to register the iPad each time we try and sync. So,it seems to be partially registered.
Videos take forever to load and constantly pause while buffering the video. I loaded the same video on my iPhone 4 and it loaded right away, no pausing or anything. Both devices are on the same wifi network.
So I noticed some of my genre info was inconsistent, so I went through iTunes on my MacBook and cleaned them all up. Then cleared all the music off my iPad and reloaded it with everything corrected (using the compressed option) and now when I go to open the iPod app on my iPad, it opens, then quickly closes...
