After update my iPad to iOS 4.2.1 all my apps are with out sound. The songs from the iTunes libraries are working fine, the problems are with the apps sound. I can't even listen the "in box mail sound" or any game fx sound.
I restored the iPad, but still the same.
My update to 4.2 went very smoothly. All apps work and all new features work. My problem is that I have no sound on some of the apps, such as: Newsy, 60 Minutes, ABC Player and CBS News. BUT, others work like: my iPod, ABC News, Magic Player and all the radio stations. Is there anything I can do or just have to wait for these apps to come out with updates?
I have just updated my iPhone and a few apps, including RadioBox, have been updated for iOS4. The problem is that they will not update on the iPad as the version of iOS on the iPad is not up to date (an error message is generated). Hopefully Apple will keep all the versions of iOS in sync in the future. Information : Mac OS X (10.6.3)G4, G5 Towers, G3, G4 and Intel PBs, Time Capsule, Apple TV, iPhone and iPods.
Since upgrading to iOS 7.1.1 I have lost sound from the speakers as it appears other have as well. Like the other posts, I do have sound with ear buds and headphones but not with various apps. Tried resetting per all the instructions, changing mute / lock switch for volume, making 100% sure volume is up everywhere etc., last test was a full restore which was still unsuccessful. Also verified sound / mic etc., was allowed in settings etc.
The weird part is that some apps work like YouTube, Music but nothing from other various apps. Well not exactly nothing, when the volume is raised and maxed out,I can faintly hear the sounds but it's like the volume is suppressed or something. If the volume works perfectly in Music then is it safe to assume there is no problem with the volume at all?
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I did a quick search and nothing relevant came up. After updating to iOS 4 on my iPad, an app called QuickVoice stopped responding. I tried to connect my iPad to my computer, but the app did not show in the file sharing space in iTunes. I bought the paid version of the app, but it looks like I just got a completely new app instead of just upgrading the one I have. I don't want to uninstall and re-install that app and lose hours of lectures and conferences, so I was wondering if there is a way to get the audio files out and put them back into the app when I re-install.
Right so I got a new app when I tried to download an update for it, it said unable to Download application but whenever I try to press Done or Retry nothing happens. The other parts of the screen aren't working either so I can't turn it off or anything
All of a sudden whenever i play any sound whatsoever on me ipad, it comes out high pitched and faster, like its on helium. It must be a software issue, because both headphones and the built in sleaker emits sound faster. I played a song and it was like this. All apps are played 2x, and so are movies and push notifications. It was just after i used the beat making app where you have a grid of dots to fill in which it plays. I clicked on a song in an email, this app opebed, i closed the app, then went to music, and now its like this I know how to fix it i think because it was on another post, but i just thought id write this on here to let someone at apple know there is a bug in their system. Anyone know why or what is causing this? (even when i slow podcasts down to half, it still sounds high pitched, so its not like ive flicked a switch or something)
When I initially synched my iPad, I decided to sync all my iPhone apps as well (i regret it now). I was able to remove the apps after unchecking 'Sync Apps' and synching again. However, I am still seeing all the old iPhone apps on this list. Is there any way to remove these apps from appearing on this list. Ideally, I only want to see my iPad apps that I have on my iPad to be showing up on this list.
After I had finished upgrading 4.2.1 firmware for my iPad, the speaker's sound has gone.I can hear the sound from my iPad only when I connected to any headphones or bluetooth devices.I tried many methods to get the sound back, starting from:1. trying to plug in and out my headphone - nothing changed2. switch on and off from the mute button (former is lock button) but it only showed "Headphones" or "Mute" sign.3. shut down and turn on my iPad - nothing changed4. Hard Reset my iPad and Restore - Still no sound, but I had to re-install everything again5. Ask everyone and search every "no sound from iPad" topics but found none like mine.
