have an airport extreme running 22mbps and every time I play a YouTube video i get an instant 10-20 second load and then a complete stoppage of loading.Speedtest shows I'm getting high speeds to my pad.
I'm wondering why my pandora app when minimized stops playing, was wondering why this is happening and how can I have pandora playing when minimized so I can work with safari or other things on my iPad and let it keep playing?
I'm on the The New iPad. Using the normal bog standard music app. The screen sleeps, or I press the power button to lock the iPad, or I use the smart cover, and the music fades out.
It doesn't happen on every song, just the odd few. Also, these songs that don't play in sleep mode, they seem to activate an internet connection!!! Maybe coincidence, I am going to turn off wifi and my mobile Internet and see what happens.
I'm playing music through the iPod app, then I open safari and start browsing. After a few minutes, the music stops Idk if it matters, but I'm using headphones too.Is there something I'm doing wrong? Cuz I cant think of why it would just stop.
I bought a season of a tv series off iTunes, the first episode finished downloading so I decided to watch it, but a little more than half way in, the frame froze but the time bar indicated that the video was still playing even though I also couldn't hear any sound. Then the episode went blank and now when I reopen it even after restarting that episode wont play. The same (minus the blank screen) also occurred with the second episode that finished downloading.I downloaded these over a less than ideal wifi connection, I suspected the connection had something to do with the quality of the downloaded product.
recently the ipod on my ipad 2 stops playing music mid-song for no apparent reason... I haven't actually change anything or done anything unusual to it, so not sure what could be causing this?
Music Stops Playing In Sleep Mode After IOS 5.1.1 Update
May 12, 2012
My music stops playing when my new iPad goes into sleep mode by either the smart cover or manually putting it into sleep mode. I believe this just began after I updated my iOS software to 5.1.1.
YouTube Stops Playing When Switching Tabs On Safari?
Feb 3, 2012
this doesn't happen with opera or atomic, so I'm wondering if this is supposed to happen. usually when I play a video on utube I want to surf while it plays in the background, but immediately when I switch to a different tab it turns off. I know I can double click on the home button and press play while it's in a different tab, but I don't wanna do that every time I switch back and forth between YouTube.

This is new Ipad and i don't know why is it behaving like that. It is not hardware problem i think.sound will stop not only while playing music in iPod but when i am watching something on netflix, suddenly it will go away..
IPad 2 :: Radio App Stops Playing After Few Minutes Then Restart After 5 Minutes
Sep 9, 2014
When I am playing either a ipad app radio (iHeart radio e.g.) or even using Safari and going directly to the radio station that I am trying to listen to either through iheart or safari directly the sound from the ipad stops after about 5 minutes, then it will restart in several minutes and then it shuts down again and on and on.
I tried going to the same station directly thinking that would work but it shuts down whether on the radio app or safari url for radio station.
It is a local channel that I like for morning and traffic.
It does this over and over. I have tried playing with settings but I must have something wrong. It is and Ipad 2.
I just received my iPad today and loaded it with all of my information. For whatever reason it is not allowing me to watch my own movies on the iPad. What ends up happening is I can continue to hear the movie running and the people talking but the video just randomly stops and stalls. I've tried turning off wifi and notification and push. That didn't have an impact.
IPad 2: Random Shut Down And Choppy Video Mostly During Playing High Quality Video?
Nov 2, 2011
I am experiencing random shut down mostly during playing high quality video(720p). It's also choppy. not all the time but rather sporadically and especially when playing scenes with lots of action.
I thought iPad 2 should have no problem at even playing 1080p movies. I'd like to try to fix it on my own first before wasting hours going to genius bar.
I bought the AV cable at the Apple store yesterday and tried it out. I can play video from the Video app, the Netflix app, and the YouTube app without a problem. But I can't play anything from the ABC app or the Hulu Plus app (the free stuff - I'm not subscribed yet) or the HGTV app. I get sound, but no picture. Anyone know why? Am I doing something wrong?
I hooked my iPad up to a digital projector recently boy am I hoping that the OS update expands this capability LOTS, so I was able to use Keynote and play videos that I ripped. However, I could not play iTune downloaded movies using the digital projector. I kept getting a 'This Machine Not Authorized.' message. As soon as I unplugged the VGA adapted cable the movie started playing on the iPad. Plug it back......movie gives me the same message.I wonder if the TV adapter for the new iPods could be used in place of the VGA cable? Most projectors have RCA connectors. The VGA cable has very limited functionality.
Any time I play a video I can count on it freezing if it is html5. YouTube plays longer but if I have a video that's about 6 or 7 minutes it will freeze and playing a stored video will always freeze after about the same amount of time. In order to get out of it I have to do a hard reset.
Information: MacBook Pro 17" Unibody 2.93Ghz Mac OS X (10.6.3) iPad 32 GB.
Haven't been playing tons of video so I don't know if it's had this issue since I first got my iPad or if something I might have done has started to cause the issue, but in the past week it's seized up three different times when playing video... Once was online (vimeo) but the other two times I was playing the Apple keynote where the iPad was introduced, downloaded through iTunes, on the native video player.
3G model, 64GB space; I've got about 40GB of video loaded on. Not jailbroken.
I've watched more than a few videos on YouTube via the YouTube app, and haven't had any issues with freezing up; don't know if this indicates it's an issue with the video player app or if I've just been luckier when using YouTube.
Picture freezes up, iPad becomes unresponsive. Can't force quit or power down; I have to force a restart.
I am using WSJ (Wall Street Journal) and Zinio apps. Zinio is a magazine app. Up to lately I was able to play the video that was offered within the news articles. I'm quite sure they are not Flash files as these apps were designed for the iPad. Anyone have a clue?
