Unable To Charge / Battery Charging Is To Slow

Nov 19, 2010

My iPad is showing a new behavior when connected to be charged.
It all started when I used it till the battery crashed to zero.
When I try to charge it normally as I always do, the following symptoms showed
1- the charging icon does not display the charging logo
2- the charging audio notification is not played
3- the charging in progress black battery logo with the red stripe is not displayed anymore
4- the charging speed has become extremely slow, it is 1% per hour!!
can anyone advise what happened and how can I go back to the usual charging behavior?

Charging The Battery - Message - Charging Not Supported With This Accessory

Jul 4, 2012

I am having problems getting the new IPad to charge at all and sometime it displays this message.' charging not supported with this accessory'. This message is appearing occasionally on my 5 week old new iPad (3) within a few minutes of plugging it in.: (It is also not charging after this message appears. I am using the supplied wall socket and cable. I am also having problems getting the iPad to charge at all even if the message does not show. This is frustrating me no end. I expected a reliable device given the amount I paid.

I rang Apple support today (twice) and it made a liar of me working just fine for few minutes the first time then again failed, then for hour or so after the second call seemed to work just fine. Now it is not charging, and won't charge despite repeatedly unplugging and repluging, Switching off the iPad and turning it back on etc etc.

Battery Charging Iming/harmful In Leaving Battery On Charge?

May 14, 2010

Anybody know if it matters or harms in anyway the iPad battery leaving it on charge? Maybe if your going to sleep or out for awhile and it only needs a short charge time, but it is hooked up much longer than it actually needs to be.

Charging The Battery/when Shoul Be Charge A New Battery?

Nov 3, 2010

I have just bought my brand new iPad and as I was leaving the PC World store the tech guy told me that I should charge the unit for TEN HOURS before even turning it on.

I know this used to be common practice with batteries in years gone by but in this age of non-memory Lithium Ion batteries is it really necessary to do that?Did you all charge yours up for that period of time before getting stuck into it?

Battery Status Was Low At 5% When Surfing The Net - No Battery Charging Sign, No "plip" When Connect Via Charger Or USB On Computer

Jul 4, 2012

I have a problem with my iPad 1: The battery status was low at 5% when I was surfing the net so I shut it down. Came to it the next day to charge it up and the Pad is not reacting at all. No battery charging sign, no "plip" when I connect it via the charger or USB on the computer. I have checked all the obvious stuff such as cleanliness of all the connectors, function of the the wall charger etc. I changed the USB/power cable and nothing has worked. I have also tried to reset it by simultaneously pressing the start and home buttons. The pad still isn't switching on. Before this fault the battery was excellent: held its charge really well.

IPad 3 Slow Charging With 10W Charger

Mar 17, 2012

Got my new iPad yeserday. Compared with my iPad 1 the charging via the 10W charger is really slow. Went to bed with power at 20%, and over 6 hours it only reached 85% charge. Others seeing the same thing? I suppose the battery capacity increase would be expected to require a longer charge...but really this slow?

IPad 2 :: Very Slow Charging Since IOS 7.1.2 Update Installed

Sep 7, 2014

Since I installed the iOS 7.1.2 update on my iPad I have been plagued with charging issues... I am using the official charger and cable that came with my iPad and I left it overnight...

When I woke up in the morning my iPad was just over 50% charged and it had been left for at least 9 hours (with wifi and background app refresh off). Is this a developing hardware issue or just an issue with my power supply (I did not lose power last night as all the clocks in my house are on time)

The charger does feel hot and I was wondering if that has an impact on how quickly my iPad will charge.

Unable To Charge Or Slow Charging Via Wall Adapter?

Aug 26, 2010

My iPad is about 2 weeks old. I've always charged it via the wall adapter and it worked fine. Yesterday and today I've had troubles charging it. I've changed wall adapters and cables (and even outlets) and nothing seems to work. It seems like it starts charging but when I go back and look, the icon in the upper right no longer has the charge symbol. Sometimes it seems to stay charging but only goes up 1 or 2% in a couple of hours.

Will Slow Charge Rate Prolong Battery Life

Mar 22, 2012

I have both an iPhone and iPad charger. The iPhone charger uses less watts, so it will take longer to fully charge the iPad, but that seems to me to be a good thing. My guess is that it will cause less heat buildup in the battery during the charge, and that should extend the life of the battery.
