If my Kindle is full I just ship books back to Amazon and let them store them for me. If I buy a movie or TV show from iTunes can I delete it from the iPad then download it again at a later date?

Last week I started to use a new Ipad. This afternoon I recorded the party at school of my son. But moving pics and movies in to a new folder, I deleted all of them. IS there a way to recover all pics and movies from the Ipad...???

So I synched my ipad and I had movies on it and they deleted. This made me really upset then just the other day I was downloading another movie via pc and my lost movies showed up on the download box but my computer reset and once I put the movie again, once again the movies were gone. How do I retrieve them?
View 1 RepliesI recently got an iPad, and I'm trying to put a movie on it. I've put the movie into iTune's library, and clicked 'sync'. But, once it's all finished, the movie isn't there.
Windows Explorer tells me the extension is .mp4, the file type is MPEG-4 (I haven't the foggiest what the difference is). It plays in iTunes, and the iPad's specs tell me .mp4 files should work fine... but it doesn't get put on the iPad.
I have another movie file that gets put on just fine, and it's also a .mp4 MPEG-4 thing. I used 'get info' in iTunes to, well, get info on the two movies:

I tried to rent a movie from iTunes, but got a message that I didn't have enough memory. I went to settings/general/usage it showed i had 1.8gb remaining. So I deleted a 3.6gb movie, but it still showed only 1.8gb available. What gives?mi deleted another 5gb worth of video, and still only 1.8gb available.
I have tried soft resets and even a reset all settings, still 1.8gb remaining.

I have moved a number of TV shows and movies to my iPad, but in the iPad library there is only Music, Podcasts and Audiobooks showing. (No "Movies", and no "TV Shows")I know the movies and shows went over because they consume about 25 GB of space, and if I view a podcast and then hit DONE, on the top left I can get to MOVIES and TV Shows... they are viewable. How do I get to TV shows or Movies directly?

The guy at the Apple Store says the iPad 3G plays in HD unlike the iPhone 3GS.Does it automatically put it in HD to your iPad or do you have to enable it somehow, and is there a way to just watch the regular version. How do you know if it's playing in HD?
I guess this question is more about your personal preferences, but I figured I'd ask anyways. I love my iPad (and I'm posting this from my iPad), but I've never used it (or my iPhone) as a way to watch movies and TV shows. What I'm trying to understand is this: why do people choose to watch things on a 9.7 inch screen, rather than in 1080p on a 40+ inch screen?
View 11 RepliesTv shows and movies on the ipad are enabled but arent syncing to the ipad. They are in either mov or mp4 format and when I connect the ipad it says the ipad does not support that format. The only way it appears on the ipad is with home sharing but not in the ipad itself. And also, they are 2 movies in there in M4V format but I cant put any more videos in it.

The past few days I have been having difficulty sleeping from all the excitement. I have the funds in my bank account and my debit card is ready! I am going to my local mall on Saturday and picking the baby up and walking out of the Apple Store with a huge grin on my face! I can't wait to sync my movies, music, and tv shows! I can't wait to surf Facebook and Twitter while kickin back on my bed! I can't wait to use my fingers to share photos with my family and peeps and also to surf the net and check out the latest news.

I have converted some movies to mp4 and mov. I've added them successfully to iTunes and they also play so that means they are in the right format but it is'nt transfering to my ipad! And yes, both movies and tv shows tab on the ipad are enabled. They only way it appears on my ipad is with home sharing -__- when my computer is on but when i put it to sleep it disappears.
View 2 RepliesThe only thing we really wish to share is movies/tv shows, as we don't really use the same apps and listen to different music mostly (I rarely download music from iTunes to begin with). I have never downloaded any movies, so in that regard I'm starting fresh, but now that we have the iPads I would like to watch our growing movie collection which is all under his apple ID. I don't mind using his apple ID for everything from the app store/iTunes from now on if it makes things easier, but how can I keep the apps I have already downloaded to my iPad? I don't plan to download any movies to my iPhone and no music will go on the iPad, so I don't mind continuing to purchase music from my own apple ID and using that on my iPhone, and using my husbands apple ID for my iPad, but I have already paid for several apps and I'd rather not lose them, nor do I want his app purchases syncing to my iPad. (I do, however, want app purchases to sync from my iPhone to my iPad.) Is there a way for me to get our movies to my iPad with a computer? Really, what is the simplest way for me to watch our movies without having to use the same apple ID? What do you all recommend for us?
Sub question- is there a way to combine ALL previous purchases (music, apps, movies, tv) on our shared desktop and then select manually what syncs to each device?
This whole not being able to sync more than one Apple ID to a device for 90 days is really killing me. That does apply to apps as well, right?
