Which would be better viewed on my iPad, the HD version or the cheaper reg quality?IOW, can the iPad take advantage of the high defintion, or would it just be a waste?
View 10 RepliesI've downloaded a rental movie onto my iPad, that I wasn't able to finish watching in time, but it still shows in iTunes under downloads (that is now more than 4 weeks ago!). I would like to delete this movie now, but when I go into the videos app, I can only see my purchased movies, and the button for "rentals" does not even appear, although I now rented another movie that is downloading... Apparently once I'm into rental, I can then click onto the edit button and remove the movie....but there is no rental button/tab....

I've just rented toy story in my ipad, but apparently it does not download.I tried syncing it to iTunes, but iTunes won't download it even when I clicked "check for available downloads".I tried restarting, hard restart the iPad, syncing iPad with iTunes, but nothing works.
View 2 RepliesI was curious if anyone else has had this problem. I have been trying to download the rental 2012 in HD and I've been having a terrible time. I have plenty of space on my iPad. When I first started everything was fine. It takes a long time and the iPad went to sleep, but I assumed that movie downloads continue. Well anyhow I got a Download Error after half of it was downloaded. The only way to get it to restart and clear the partial download was to completely restore my iPad. After going through the whole restore process it has happened AGAIN! After about 2 GB of the movie downloaded. My network is pretty fast.
View 16 RepliesHow do i transfer an itunes movie rental to my ipad 3? The downloaded movie is under "Rentals". When I click on "Rentals", I see the movie, but I I don't see any option to transfer to my ipad. The rented movie does not show up under "Movies".

I used iTunes on my iPad to download Ninja Assassin as a rental. I was unable to find a significantly strong connection to finish.I re-rented the movie on my computer which had a significantly strong connection. I moved the movie to my iPad and watched it.My iPad is still trying to download the rental movie. How do I cancel iTunes downloads on my iPad?
View 2 RepliesI read renting a movie running ios 4.2 in IPAD would mean:
Rent and watch (no more download, cause renting and downloading was possible before)
What do I have to do to rent a movie in ITUNES on IPAD or IPHONE and watching it IMMEDIATELLY? No download - is it possible?
I have downloaded my first rental movie while I slept. When I got back to my iPad, iTunes had shut down so I began to try to find my movie. It wasn't in my purchases, in my film or TV library or anywhere I could look. Nothing, nada, no clue and no help in support!
I have spent ages hunting for some clue but... I played another TV show download that I had and at the end if the show I selected the TV shows tab and it goes to a different page to the library with the show icons visible. At the top of this page were two option tabs, TV shows and Rentals. Lo and behold, the Rental tab took me to my download!
There has to be an easier way... What is it please?

Is it just me, or is there no way to stream rentals or movies you buy from the itunes store. I knew the iPhone was like this, but this sucks. That means you have to wait until a movie is completely done downloading before you can watch
View 3 RepliesI know how to watch a streaming movie. Is there a way to download a movie rental? I don't want to buy the movie but you cannot watch streaming video on a plane.

I downloaded a movie rental before my travels and when I tried to play it an error message came up that said the movie is unable to play. I have tried restating the I pad 2 but it did not correct the problem. Any advice on how to correct this issue.

While traveling, I tried to download a movie rental for the flight home, but the download time is over 7 hours, necessitating a bit of foresight for a modicum of entertainment value. I left the download running overnight, but a workaround is necessary to avoid having the download abort, and that is turning off the sleep function in settings/auto-lock/never. I will now try it again, but how successful does Apple think their video rental business is going to be with this paradigm? A disillusioned consumer is the worst case, because they blog negative on your product.
It is misleading over-marketing of this product for Mr Jobs to create the illusion of easy access to video entertainment, create a marketplace for accessing such entertainment, but fail to engineer some sort of compression of these huge video files so that the download process with consumer level connectivity speeds is remotely practical.
