Many of my Apps keep crashing, I need to update my software/OS. However, I am traveling for the next one month. Can I use another computer to update from ? It doesnt allow me to do it.
Maybe (okay, almost certainly) this is the break-in period, but a lot of the apps on the iPad sure do crash. Most recently, USA Today app crashed and now will not start up. Kindle app, Kobo, Zinio, and a few others have all crashed on my iPad.
I got my my ipad in June and it has never given me a problem. Now after the new update with IOS 4.2 all apps crash after opening, ipad randomly restarts. I have restored my ipad from beginning and also restore it from stratch. I do not know what to do now. can someone please give me and idea on what to do to fix this.
Today I returned my iPad to the Apple Store in Pasadena, CA... This was my second device I purchased trying to remedy crashing apps mainly Safari, anyway when I arrived at the store I had a HORRIBLE experience with a manager named "Dee"... I explained my concerns and let her know I did a couple of restores along with purchasing a new device trying to fix my issue... Dee shockingly explained to me that they had over 100 iPads in the store, she said she has never heard of a crashing app on the iPad... Basically calling me a liar! I went on to explained again that I purchased a second device in good faith assuming that my concern would be fixed. This women was VERY rude & I have always been told Apple has the best customer service, when I was done I was charged a 60 restocking. I am not rocket scientist but this cant be a normal experience with Apple.
Information: MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.6.3) 8GB RAM
At home in the UK, BT home zone, iPad original, iOS5 with all apps hopefully updated, and suddenly crash. App(s) unexpectedly quit, I'm back at the home screen level. Usually the app reopens where last I was reading. This morning with SkyGrid though, I was out in the cold and had to step my bck to the last article I was reading. This happensnwith other apps as well: games, apps with a web connection and apps without. Any suggestions for where to start looking or testing for a culpable culprit?
Every day my iPad apps will crash and it is the built in apps not the app store apps. I turn off the iPad daily so that is not going to fix the problem is does anybody know why my apps keep crashing especially safari?
Been lurking since i had the idea of getting the ipad, now I got my ipad 2 and very happy with it -- it instantly replaced my laptop for daily use! Anyway, been using the thing for a week now and installed the Twitter app on day one- no problems since then but last night it started crashing. I reinstalled the app, restarted the device couple of times but no luck. I load up the app, sign in, it tries to update the timeline and bam its back on homescreen. App seems to be running on the background tho. I'm running ios 4.3 on a 16 GB iPad 2 Wi Fi.
I upgraded my iPad 1 with the new iOS 5.0.1. All went well. But for the last few days, I keep having my apps crashing from time to time. With 5.0 and previous, Of course there is always the "Windows" tips of rebooting and closing all the apps. Then it occurred to me that this behavior seems to happen since I activated the gestures with 5.0.1
Well, whenever I want to watch videos on Facebook and YouTube, my iPad goes black and asks for my pass code again. I know that I am not overloaded with applications because I have 50GB available. I restart the machine but it doesn't work. Aswell as an application called 'Draw Something', it crashes when I open it but, when i punch in my passcode and open the app again... It works. I don't know why 'draw something' (and a couple more games) crash on me but when i open it again straight away it works.I use this game quite often and I'm pretty sure I've updated it.
Now, when I search a video on YouTube (the app AND safari)... It crashes! It really really annoys me and I feel like snapping the iPad in half. This also happens on Facebook when I want to watch a video that a friend has posted. Many other games, applications and photo/video editors (including pic
Stitch) crash on me, ALOT. Do I need to do anything important to stop my iPad 2 (used mainly for school) to stop casually crashing?
Regardless of whether I am connected to WiFi, my apps won't open. I touch the icon, it flashes like it is about to open and then it doesn't open. What is happening?
I have yet to purchase my iPad, and was wondering how the actual performance is on your iPad.E.g. Do you have any apps crashing, lagging, or general slowness? I read the "memory hog" thread and was worried that the iPad isn't as fast or powerful as apple makes it seem. Especially with multitasking around the corner, do you think iPad can keep up? If not, are you worried about your purchase? Again I am concerned with the day-to-day PERFORMANCE with the device.
I recently installed SiriPort on my iPad 2. It ran okay. Then I noticed that some stock apple apps were not functioning correctly, such as the app store, iTunes, and Contacts. Uninstalling SiriPort made them work again, but how can I have both?
