I just bought an iPad few days ago and i had use the lock rotate buttons for a few times butwhen i unlock the rotate button the iPad rotation won't turn anymore i had restored the iPad but it wont work please help me solve this problem cheers
I can't download email from my IMAP account to my IPad. It starts download but is hung up on first message and keeps restarting the download process. Same settings work fine on my IPhone. My other POP accounts work fine.
I searched thru previous questions before posting this, I promise! E-mails on my iPad show empty image files. However, the images appear in the same emails on my iphone4 and iMac. I checked in Settings, mail, etc. The slider is on. Pdf and Pages files come thru fine on my iPad.
I have four mail accounts on my iPad 2, a company one plus personal Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail. I have set the company account to delete mail from the server when I have deleted it from my inbox, but most posts get downloaded again, and some appear several times. I don't think it's a server problem, as when I ran the account from my desktop and then from my laptop, this never happened. (The setting WAS slightly different; delete from server after downloading--which I don't want to do on my iPad).
Firstly, I'm new to iPads (4G/wifi G4GB). I don't want my email to download to my iPad until I specifically tell it to manually, yet it appears to be doing so automatically each time I open the Mail app. I have several email accounts, some gmail, some with myISP and a mixture of POP and IMAP.
My settings are: Mail, Contacts, Calendars:
Accounts: iCloud - all off except Reminders and Find My iPad Mail - 13 accounts, mixed as above, all On
Fetch New data - Off Show: 50 Recent Messages Preview: 2 lines Minimum Font Size: Medium Show To/cc label - On Ask Before Deleting: Off Load remote Images: On Organise By Thread: On Always bcc myself: On Increase Quote Level: On Signature: Sent from my iPad My Info: None
Calendars: New Invitation Alerts: On Time Zone Support: London Sync: All Events Default Alert Times: None Default Calendar: Calendar Sync: Reminders 1 Month Back
Just noticed that when I open Mail it doesn't have the winding up icon thing at the bottom left. It just says "updated 17 08 2011 03.16" and the latest mail arrival is "yesterday". It's not doing it's thing! I immediately checked my browser to see if I was online....it is OK, and indeed I am posting here through it. I notice that when I go to itunes, anything I click comes up with "your request cannot be completed".
Lately when downloading over 3g to the ipad (files ranging from 20mb, to 500mb) I have been getting insanely slow speeds (ex: under 8-Kb/s)
Has anyone else noticed the same issue?
I have tried: 1- switching cell data off and on (o&o) 2- switching cell data off, connecting to wireless, then back to cell data 3- airplane mode o&o 4- ipad power o&o 5- airplane mode o&o, then wireless o&o, then cell data back on
I must be really missing something here and am pulling my hair out, but I still can't rotate my photos on my iPad. I am aware that there are apps to do it, but is there still no way to do it in the photo app? I don't want to have to export into another app, rotate and then send them back to Photos!I see they added this to the iPhone software, but I already have a lot of photos on my iPad that are all over the place when I output them on my apple tv.And while I am moaning, anybody else bugged by the fact the photos are ordered with the oldest first? I would much prefer to see my latest photos at the top. Very annoying when trying to email screen shots just taken.
So just recently my iPad2 stopped rotating when I am using it. If I open the smart cover while holding it in landscape it comes on in landscape. If I rotate it to portrait nothing happens. If I then close the smart cover and reopen it while holding it in portrait it will come on in portrait but will not rotate to landscape when twisted.
I've tried the obvious things: 1) Checked settings to see if lock button was set for rotate function and it was set for mute. 2) Double clicked the Home button and checked the multitasking menu to verify the lock rotate icon showed it was unlocked. 3) Activated the Lock Rotate button and graphic showed it was locked, activated again and it showed unlocked. Still won't rotate 4) Set physical switch on side to control screen rotation. 5) Activated the Lock Rotate switch and graphic showed it was locked, activated again and it showed unlocked. Still won't rotate 6) Put device to sleep in landscape. Rotated to portrait. Woke unit up, turned on in portrait. Would not rotate further when twisted. 7) Put device to sleep in portrait. Rotated to landscape. Woke unit up, turned on in landscape. Would not rotate further when twisted.
My iPad was rotating fine and then it just stopped. I've put on a youtube video, let it sit for five mins to see if it would flip and nothing. I have searched for answers but I'm running out of things to try.
I have checked to make sure the switch is not stuck on the side, it's in the right position, there isn't an icon up by the battery symbol.I have double clicked on the home key and scrolled over to the left...that isn't selected. I have held down the home and start key and let the iPad restart itself. I have powered it off and let it be for 15+ mins before starting it back up. I have restored it through the iPad setting and through iTunes.
Overnight my screen quit rotating. I checked Settings/General and found that the side switch was set to Lot Rotation, which I do not recall doing. I changed that setting to Mute, restarted the iPad. No change. I then reset the iPad. No change. The side switch is still set to mute om SettomgsGeneral, and it is physically set to sound. The screen still will not rotate. how I can restore the rotation function??
Done reset, updated iTunes, Powered down, eliminated active apps, turned off screen lock, off and on, and moved to side switch and to homedoubeclick are. Still won't move from portrait to lanscape. What to do to fix this very annoying issue on one-month old ipad2
How do you rotate images that either are imported incorrectly or are off by 90 degrees within the iPad Photo Gallery. I can try to rotate them with two fingers but it snaps back to the incorrect position. Is there a trick?
When I take a photo with the Ipad in the portrait/upright position and email it, it ends up at the other end needing rotating 90 degrees. Is there any way I can have it rotated correctly before the other person sees it in their email?
